What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg...on sabbatical from daily jabbing the finger

gennepher's cat diner was extraordinarily busy yesterday with furred and feathered creatures. Just using it as a social hub. No new ones, just the regulars making the most of it, with the furred ones patrolling the garden constantly yesterday, and the feathered ones clearing all the bugs off the willow stems, and keeping my roses aphid free.

Creative is a kaleidoscope in laboscope of wildflowers - the Jack-By-The-Hedge today but fartnarkled a little ...

Drunk coffee and tea...need more...

It looks to be a pleasant but slightly chilly day. Have fun!

Wonderful kaleidoscopes of Honesty and I do like this Jack-By-The-Hedge - very tasty :)

Good morning everyone on a gloomy start here in the dark and dangerous north
Lots of hammering and banging yesterday and now the downstairs bathroom looks like a bomb site (cunningly called ‘prep work’). Deliveries expected today of such items as tiles, shower trays and other sundries. More banging and clattering expected - we are going out.
Art bit - some more trees. Have a wonderful day if you can. Must remember to put the bins out tonight but first, some koffy is in order.

Enjoy your day out @dunelm
Love the Art bit and those slender trees...

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and fellow Neanderthals, according to the latest scientific theories we all have Neanderthal genes, but I suppose some more than others, I am reasonably certain I am in the former category for 2 reasons I am very hairy and will eat anything animal, vegetable and mineral except sprouts which I have a habit of wrapping in Ferreo Roche wrappers and leaving in the nice box, yes I have got into trouble and received more than one irate telephonic call.

Bloods this morning were 6.9 one of those hmmm I wonder where that came from.

Stay safe all and have a great day.

@gennepher
As you requested here is a picture of a child’s garden bench seat I made some years ago, the children have out grown the seat and their parents kindly returned the seat to me for refurbishment and passing onto some other children.

4.4 this morning. Had a lovely relaxing day yesterday. Am reading Richard Osman's second book. Lovely to have the time to read a book. Enjoying this one. It is definitely better than the first one.

That is brilliant @alf_Josiah
Both the design of the seat, and that that you are refurbishing it for other children.

Seems if I manage to stop eating by about 8-9 in the evening FBG us usually reasonable.
I wonder if that just shows, that lacking the input of carbs your pancreas/liver are working impressively well ?

Either way, great figs considering the intake, as @dunelm rightly spotted :)

Good morning everyone on a wonderfully sunny start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. @jjraak has almost opened a can of worms with his photo mod Marley.
Bins out ready for the parade of the bin lorry and Mrs Miggins has really done the garden waste bin proud with all those clippings from her latest spate of ‘tidying up’. Packing this morning to go to a 50th anniversary reunion. Have to go via Manchester to pick someone up flying in from Cyprus and then off to Harrogate until Sunday.
Art bit - tree sketch. Hope you hall have a wonderful day and that the sun shines warmly on your bones. I shall now go and make koffy.

Fbg...still on finger prick sabbatical...

Yesterday Shadow was late for breakfast. Or, rather I had woken up earlier, put it out earlier. And along came Mr Magpie who decided Shadow's breakfast was the best thing out. Yesterday I had used a pate and simply broke it into large chunks. But Mr Magpie looks at it, and decided that this was much better than taking those small biscuits for his young 'uns. He got a whole huge chunk in his beak, it was about 1/5th of the whole pate, and takes off, and is back moments later for another chunk. Mr Magpie had nearly finished the whole lot off when Shadow emerged. She was disgusted, looked at the bowl Mr Magpie had been eating out of, looked at me and marched out of the garden, her tail lashing in displeasure.

I went out and put a new bowl wet cat food out for her. She returned, but still refused to eat. She kept returning throughout the day to check on the food situation, but refused to eat whatever I put out for her. So, the other strays had a feast all day. Finally I am locking up the cat diner for the night when Shadow shoots in the bungalow, looks at my cat food supply and shoots out again. This means feed me outside. So, I washed the cat bowl, dried it, put some fresh wet cat food in, and take it outside. Shadow is all friendly to me, unlike yesterday morning...

Creative today is a kaleidoscope using the laboscope app. It is of another Jack-By-The-Hedge, but the flower buds were so tiny you can hardly see them. What I did like about it was the two leaves superimposed, and the pattern they made.

Time for another coffee and another tea...and I am in need of a nap, although I did sleep well last night...

Have a good day.
