Chromebook arrived Wednesday/Thursday and all working fine thank you. Two or three improvements on the old one and probably cheaper than the excess and extra insurance premium so overall annoying but a reasonable outcome. Nice sunny day here, how is North Norfolk?@ianpspurs definitely a gold star for Mr K. I have a lot of photos and videos of Archie that I have taken with my Kindle fire and I was worried I had lost them. Must do a backup in case it is in it's way out. Did you get your new Chromebook?
Good that the new Chromebook is working well and arrived quickly.Chromebook arrived Wednesday/Thursday and all working fine thank you. Thanks @gennepher - what we see in picturesIt is strange @dunelm but the left of the mountain looks like a man's bearded face looking sideways...
A lot in this Art Bit....
Enjoy your coffee...
Wonderful times in the garden and another smashing kaleidoscopicFbg 6.5
Yesterday, every time I saw Mr Magpie he was thwarted from getting food from the cat diner by one of the four gingers who appeared to be in constant attendance at the food buffet. He tried to sneak some supper early in the evening, but Calico steadfastly stood her ground...
Also yesterday was the hatching/emerging of butterflies. Red Admirals, Painted Ladies, and male Orange Tip butterflies. The Orange Tip was coveting my Honesty flowers, which are out in abundance.
This morning I opened my eyes at 4 am to Shadow locking her eyes with mine from her seated position on the wooden swing. The cat diner is not open yet, she said. It's still dark and I have only just opened my eyes, I replied. That cat must listen for every movement I make in my bed...my head was still on my pillow.
Creative this morning - a kaleidoscope in Laboscope from my flowering blueberry bush with Shadow on guard...
Now, I am going to shut my eyes, go to sleep again, and wake up s l o w l y....

It is always coffee time! Breakfast sounded good!Good morning everyone from a bit of a damp squib of a day in Scotland. Yesterday, walkers walked, pram pushers pushed prams up the river path and I wandered into town and had a smashing cooked breakfast that included haggis to remind folk where they were. A quiz was held last night, compared by my brother in law. Mrs Miggins’ team won but she did load it with know it alls in a spread of know it all topics. We are supposed to be having a BBQ this afternoon, which should come off despite the overcast gloom up there in the sky. You come all this way and nobody decided to consult John Kelley or Micheal Fish - get that song banned forthwith.
Art bit - a couple of dwellings and some mountains. Have a smashing Sunday if you can. Don’t venture to Upton, my son reports mass Morris dancing. Time for some koffy.

5.15am FBG 5.6
Am in the car and a few miles on the way when I realise my feet are warm - I am still wearing slippers!
Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.
Late on parade, a 6.3 this morning.
Me, me’s and myself have just got home from a chilly ride on my motorcycle this morning to meet an old school friend who also rides a motorcycle, we met up just north of Alton not far from Lasham gliding club. This afternoon he has booked a trip to his local tip and me, me’s and myself will be continuing refurbishing a child’s garden bench seat, photographs will be published later.
Safe travels to those travelling and stay safe.
I shall try and attach a picture I was sent yesterday, apparently the owner of the feline is looking for names for his pet. View attachment 54360
Boris bike sounds good @jjraakMorning all.
A mix of a week.
FBG's low 7's.
A result of the vagaries of treating two (or more) competing issues holistically.
Wednesday was PTSD day
Therapist questioned why it makes me anxious
I think the dragging up (for my benefit I hope )
Of something that I try to keep away from, in such details, is a rollercoaster of emotions...
Not looked forward in eager anticipation, obv
Ending almost when very Pete tong
Honest from her was the idea she'd be treating me for depression. .(no **** Sherlock )
Rather then PTSD, or so I understood it
In the vein of being equally honest, I opined
hat i WASN'T just 'Down'
and that seemed to trivialise my situation*
Honesty hurts, but it's the only way to be truthful, which in this case brought a welcome response that cleared my worries
Answer was it's a complex thing, and the plan is to tackle the depression first (?)..then treat the PTSD symptoms, which eased my mind and made better sense all round.
*Yes, I do understand depression can be serious & life threatening in many ways, but haven't we all heard some one described as depressed, when miserable might have been a more appropriate word ?
Which was how I perceived it .. rightly or wrongly
Apologies to anyone genuinely suffering depression X.
Hospital visit on Friday much better
I struggle walking, and was using elbow crutch.
Useful but cumbersome if not needed 24/7
And while I can walk very short distance unaided, anything else requires some support, so I tried a normal style crutch. ....effective.
Appointment went well
An acceptance of the new timeline to recovery has eased the self flagellation I was dishing out for not reaching impossible goals earlier then expected
I seem to have a weak shoulder muscle set and weak thigh muscle....so exercises tilted to improving that hopefully.
As said , I can't walk too well, and a mix of Uber charging double for trip , surge charging at 1pmand the weak thigh message, made me think
And I had the bright idea to rent a Boris bike
I knew I CAN get on & ride a bike, but this would be my longest journey post accident by far
Crutch snaggled up in tray at front, and we're off
Trip successful ,. Cue BIG cheesy grin once home
Meet daughter and two nephews to repeat previous week's breakfast/ beer club moment
Ok, paid for it the next day .too much exercise/one too many
But SO worth it.
A restful weekend, ends a mixed week, on a very happy note
Thanks @ianpspursMay the 1st be with you - yes it is three days early but some classes take things in more slowly. Swipey reckons 6.1 was my fbg today. For T2 control that is seriously awful but in context possibly a pretty good effort. Thanks for the art @dunelm and I hope the BBQ goes well.. @gennepher another wonderful Bungalow Wildlife Tale and kaleidoscope - thank you. @jjraak a week of ups and downs but overall very successful. Yesterday I ate out with JKP at the cafe attached to the farm shop/butchers (over the border in Cambs) we like. I resent paying £10 for a salad (warm chicken breast and bacon - .5 drop @ 2 hrs) but ho hum. An elderly couple at the next table gave me so much on which to ponder. The woman clearly suffers from Alzheimer's or similar. Frequently repeating questions such as have we paid, have we been to Ely before (they were going home via Ely)? The man was so patient and loving. God was so obviously working in and through him despite the seeming awfulness of the situation. The staff seemed to know them as regulars and were so kind. Not water into wine, not Lazarus like but from initial attraction as a couple to that scene absolutely miraculous. @Krystyna23040 I hope there are bluebells for you. Today is pork shoulder day from the farm shop butcher (the lockdown 1 half pig from there was so good so well worth the new freezer) - 92 YO MIL will be with us. On Friday we delivered our grandson to stage school in Newmarket, usually just me and he, no other children to mind so JKP came. Returning home we stopped at the roadside for vitals. Asparagus - fair enough, 'tis the season; strawberries - early methinks; new potatoes - very early surely? The strawberry I tried yesterday was wonderful and we have had the asparagus before: poached egg, Hollandaise and Parmesan shavings anyone? Stay safe and be considerate of others - Googling "tractors" in public is to be avoided . (How does John Deere/Claas/New Holland lead to porn?)
Spot on @alf_Josiah .Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and those who are in touch with their Neanderthal side.
A 6.5 this morning on that devious meter of confusion.
Here in Tilehurst Towers today could be a day of catch up on administration then some light gardening tasks, but those are my plans and Mrs J has yet to communicate with me, me’s and myself I think, I read somewhere that listening helps, does it?
@jjraak
Loomies is still open, don’t go there often, Nelson’s is a dim and distant memory, never been to Box Hill, far to close to the M25, Mordors orbital car park. Reading between the lines on your posts it appears you are making slow steady progress.
Well that’s it from me stay safe all
Thanks Ian.RIP Naomi Judd; Take your pick of puffed up mendacious demagogues needing to sit on the naughty step watching and listening to this on loop before emerging as nicer, kinder little boys. Lyrics @gennepher and yes, the produce is like home grown.
Cheers @gennepher .Boris bike sounds good @jjraak
You'll be using different muscles, so your 'normal' pain, along with the muscle pain (at the very least) of riding the bike. Yup, you'll pay for it next day, and the next...
But it is an option for the journey home, after you have taken a taxi there (wherever there is).
You are doing brilliantly.
I realise it is a long journey from what you say, but cycle ride home was an enormous achievement.
