What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from beneath another dull and miserable sky here in the dark and dangerous north
So pleased that I broke the waking up and getting out of bed record last night, Noris McWhirter missed most of it as he fell asleep holding his stop watch.
Chemist today to pick up a selection of pills and potions and then over to the optician to pick some new frames. It’s all happening up here.
Art bit - colour added to yesterdays landscape. Have a marvelous Tuesday if you can. As always, I shall begin with Koch.

Brilliant artwork and colour @dunelm

Morning all.

Have returned from deepest krydn.
Cat sitting duties completed successfully.

No BG still ..giving a miss for moment.

Back at hospital yesterday

Parking app not accepting payment
Plenty of time before I started TRYING TO PAY No time left to fart about, went to appointment
And yes You guessed it, got a ticket .

Have to send I to council to challenge
And of course no one to talk to at parking company..and no 'chat' does not constitute a conversation..
I KNOW "I'm sorry your not happy"...:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Other news was hand healing slow .
Scarring up arm possibly the cause.
Ligaments shortened no 1 suspect

And unnoticed to me physio dept turned to witchcraft

Not leeches ..silicone
But same thing ;):D

Unknown how it works, but they are trying it on scar tissue on arm ...mmh

Time will tell, but not made it worse, so there is that :)

Took furry nephew out for walk.
Didn't mean to, but seems I went all David bailey on my mobiles camera

Lighting etc all as it was, untouched
But he's come out like an Airfix toy dog, bless him :hilarious::hilarious:

Parking companies Grrrrrrh!:banghead::bigtears::pics::spam:. hope the council do the right thing. Love the airfix dog - can’t see any joins or glue. Hope the silicone does the job. https://newgelplus.com/blogs/newgel-blog/how-does-silicone-heal-scars

Hug for parking misery. Croydon has lots to answer for such as employing me to teach - I use the word loosely but I learned my trade so to speak - and being responsible for me meeting JKP. The dog looks full of attitude but so much fun.

Fbg 6.5

Yesterday morning, after Midnight fed, he got back on his usual place on my pile of jumpers on the swing, but changed his mind and came over to the wooden shelf on the swing, and watched me drink my cup of tea in bed. And I am watching him watching me...

Very companionable this was...

Then Jade came in for food, and she wasn't fazed by Midnight openly watching her eat. It looked like they had a friendship going on.

Next, the bluetits, but Dad Bluetit came in first with one baby. They both left the garden. And then Mum Bluetit came in with two of the babies, and an extensive feeding session ensued. Then she left, and Dad Bluetit came in with his one baby for a fatball feeding session. And so, this continued all day, with never the whole Bluetit family out in one go. The Mr Blackbird had been particularly nasty towards them the day before.

Mr Blackbird was doing his usual noisy aggressive flypasts as the Bluetits were feeding. Then he decided to come down for cat food. Mr Blackbird just looked in the usual place where Midnight sleeps on the swing, and he saw no Midnight. So, Mr Blackbird went to the cat bowls. Midnight is watching the blackbird very interestedly from his new vantage point. I am watching with bated breath. Midnight is less than 2 hands widths from Mr Blackbird, and in a very good vantage point for pouncing. Mr Blackbird looks up, recoils backwards in an utter complete panic, his wings flying him backwards in a total frenzy. But Midnight just watches. And to add insult to injury, Mr Magpie who was watching from my electric cable to the garage, swoops in (deliberately?) knocks into Mr Blackbird as he is still trying to gain his flying composure, and Mr Blackbird nearly falls to the ground, then flies off screeching his anger.

Midnight turns and looks at me as though to say, 'That was my bit of fun for the day!' And Midnight goes over to my pile of comfy jumpers and goes to sleep.

I had planned to go out early this morning, but didn't. I was too riveted watching all this unfold, as well as a whole lot more.

And Mr GreatTit has been back with his two babies, feeding them from the fatballs. Little Miss came in with them. She must be hiring out her au pair services....

And so this kind of activity went on all day.

The seagulls were swirling overhead.
The ravens were having a noisy kerfuffle in the cherry trees...
And the sun shone...and disappeared...
And I wrote letters and postcards...
And received postcards and a couple of surprise letters with interesting contents...
A very good day...

Creative today..a photo of mine of two baby dragons in my garden, put into Tiny Planet, then fartnarkled a wee bit, and The silhouettes are Jade and Midnight, who seem to tolerate each other very well. They are not best buddies (yet). Jade hides in the undergrowth. Whereas Midnight, despite his size, remains hidden while still in full sight.

Time for a coffee,...

Good morning everyone from a distinctly damp start here in the dark and dangerous north. Rain during the night has stopped - is this a pattern? No idea but my Dark Sky app shows rain on, rain off up to 7pm and then dullness. That’s put paid to sunning myself in the garden. My important and very delicate task of waiting in for a parcel kicks off at 9am - the start of the three hour slot. I love indoor work when it’s raining.
Art bit, a change of tack for a while. Two brushes on a length of backing paper. About 4ft in the new imperial era. Have a marvelous pre-bin day if you can and remember, if you want to walk round your house naked, do it on the inside. That koffee is sorely needed.

6.3 this morning. Went quite low in the night so have woken up with a headache. Back to grey skies and rain today.

Yesterday, in Norwich, a young pigeon flew into the huge window at my venue. It died intantly, which was a shame. A seagull swooped down and looked as though it was trying to eat it.

So pleased that Little Miss has found gainful employment as an au pair. It will be all over come summer. Lovely dragons, guardians of the wormhole.
Thanks @dunelm
It is interesting to watch else she does!
And thanks for the compliment...

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who celebrate waking up in the morning.
.
A young 5.2 this morning, I celebrated that with 20 minutes plinky plonky practice while drinking tea, I have yet to make koffy, please note the correct spelling of the word coffee is “koffy”
.
Mrs J, bless her cotton socks, but not much else, likes to do painting by numbers for grups, that is tech speak for “Grown ups or adults”, therefore hopefully attached is her latest daubing, perhaps our two painters @gennepher and @dunelm might like to have a gander.

Good day everyone (morning Richie) from a wet, unsummery, unexotic, unique sub region of Eastern England. No grandchildren today so two malfunctioning backs won't need to perform duties they really should avoid. 10 CC anyone? Having seen to the dogs, carried out my morning worship, drunk two 750 mls mugs of Assam and delivered JKP hers in bed what to do before bedtime? Quick run around with the vacuum cleaner, dust and polish then more tea I guess. 92.5 yo MIL acquired a mobility scooter yesterday - there may be trouble ahead. @dunelm thanks for the art and do take it steady with those watchman duties. Do you have a bijou hut? no yodelling. @gennepher stunning creative today and wonderful tales of wildlife. Do you leave that knitwear outside? Is the swing covered to keep it dry? However you spend today, give of your very best and be as self aware as possible.

Watch out - another learner driver hits the pavements and roads. Must stop yodelling, makes me sound far too jolly.

The new shopping queues to get your item @dunelm
That time window keeps changing and lengthening. Or even changes days to the next day. And then it starts all over again...
And then like buses that all come at once, you open your door to find you are barricaded in by parcels left there by different parcel companies. They all came at once, and you got no notification the parcels are waiting impatiently at your door. Then comes the task of dismantling that Leaning Tower of Parcels...a bit like that game of kerpkunk...
Then your notifications arrive over the next few days that your parcels have been delivered, and there is always one, which was there with the others on your doorstep, that according to online tracking it still 'hasn't' reached you weeks later...
Enjoy the parcel game...

This Art bit, looks almost like a feeling of relief after doing those extraordinarily detailed art work the last few days. It feels like the release of a long drawn out sigh...
I like it, it lifts me.

Coffee coffee coffee, wherefore art thou.....

Yes the knitwear is outside!
Yes the thatched swing is covered, not by thatch anymore because the blackbirds stole all of that for their nesting the last few years and put holes in it, so now it is covered with tarpaulins and camouflage netting to hide it from those savage blackbirds. It is actually another one of my Art Installations...
Thanks for the lyrics from another post...

This is a great bit of Art Daubing @alf_Josiah
Tell Mrs J that it is amazing, puts a smile on my face, and I love it...

Now I need my overdue nap...I think I am a bit doolally this morning. Does Mrs J have those short white cotton socks with the frilly white lace round the ankle?

I think I had better get off the internet before I lose friends. My brain needs a nap...to recalibrate...I did an all nighter last night in order to access some free research data, which was just accessible for free for just a few hours.I have that many facts and figures and dates and overlapping time lines in my head. And so far they haven't jumbled...

I will be back when I am back to normal. I need two naps in one...

I am far too old for all nighters, I need to act my age...

Enjoy the koffy when you get to it.
