Morening, sorry but a bit against the clock this morning.
A hmmm 4.9 this morning grrr
@gennepher nice art work and it’s nice to see @dunelm back posting his artwork also.
Now sorry but I must depart to real life and not electronic life.
Stay safe, avoid covid, monkey pox and imploding Tory MPs, sorry all politicians, oh and the toxic media.
Thank you @alf_Josiah - hope that 4.9 sorted itself out.

Hello all!

Sorry I've been absent on here.
Fbg this morning was 5.5
My nieces are on school holidays so they are sleeping over for a few days. The little one has me up every hour of the night, I'm surprised my fbg wasn't too bad at all...

Regarding my blood work last month, everything looked OK, my sugars are in the pre diabetes zone which I expected. Good news is that last blood work my liver function test was extremely elevated but after losing 50kg and eating low carb they are now back in normal range! Yay

Hope everyone has been well!!
Great to see your good news post despite the nightly disturbances.

Good morning everyone on a day when the number 10 cat is now frantically searching for treats in other peoples gardens despite the abundance of rats. Plastic panels- my car has plastic panels. I wonder how to get scratches out. Probably the same as any other car panel - give it a rub with toothpaste on a flannel (not mine of course!). I have heard that the whitening type works best - we will see.
Art bit - some colour added to yesterdays. Hope that everyone has a good day. We are excitedly anticipating the arrival of the carnival of bin lorries. And koffy, always some koffy.

Thursday

Yesterday morning, very early, I fed Midnight (then did that last bit of dead matted fur on him). It was still a bit dark, but I wanted to go back to bed for another hour's sleep. I didn't get back to sleep, but I relaxed with my heated steam mask, and my hand massager, which I am needing on my left hand at the moment.

So I was watching the stray cats come in to feed. I still hadn't opened my own bedroom door yet into the garden. It was quite cold. First of all Midnight chased Jade away from the wet food dishes. Very unusual. She went back to them and tried to eat. But Midnight jumped off the swing, and physically drove her away. He head butted her. She was very confused. Then one of the gingers came along next. Midnight had words with him. He was going to eat his food, but Midnight said no you are not, leapt off the swing and sent him packing. This happened with a third cat.

What is going on? I am going out there. Midnight comes to the doostep, and is very vocal. Nothing wrong physically with Midnight. And he leads me to the food bowls which are half empty, and I am saying no more food for you today, you need to slim down a bit. But he is still urgently vocal at me.

I look at the food bowls again - covered in wasps. They are eating the wet cat food. What on earth? I get rid of the wet cat food, wash the bowls. There must have been something sweet in the wet cat food. The wasps were a bit aggressive as I was getting rid of the wet cat food.

I get some fresh cat bowls, and put several bowls of dried varieties of cat food out. Midnight approves. He has a taste of them, gets back on the swing. And then the stray cats are coming back. They are not so pleased with the dry cat food, but they eat it. However one of the gingers has a problem, he keeps choking on the dry food and cannot swallow it easily, but he is hungry.

I am now assuming that Midnight was protecting them earlier when he drove them away from the wet cat food. A wasp sting round the mouth can probably be easily assimilated by a cat, but several wasp stings might be another matter. He saw danger and was warning other cats. But he wasn't aggressively going for the cats.

I have not had this situation before with wasps and wet cat food. The wasps are not interested in the dry food. So, for this morning I have soaked some dry biscuits in water for the ginger cat.

Anyway I checked the garden for wasps and inside the garage, but no nests or anything.

This early morning, there are still wasps after the wet cat food. I will leave the wet cat food until the ginger has had his.

I did see a wasp 'clean' a piece of the meat and he flew off with it.

Wasps and wet cat food has never been a problem before.

I have just noticed Mr&Mrs Magpie parading the middle of the road, checking either side for food waste bins the badgers have managed to open in the night. It is recycle and food waste day.

Creative today, a kaleidoscope in Laboscope.

A hot cuppa is now needed.

Ah, the ginger cat who has problems eating dry biscuits has just come along. He has the choice of wet cat food, the dry biscuits I soaked in hot water overnight, or dry cat food. Of all things he has chosen to eat the soaked in hot water all night dry biscuits over even the wet food. I am watching him eat. He obviously needs that extra liquid to eat the food comfortably. He has completely cleared the soaked dry biscuit bowl, and left....

I wouldn't be wanting that cat then @dunelm
One of the requisites of the cat diner here, is that you have to earn your keep. Rats have to be laid out in a neat row, but mice can be eaten. Just give the howl to the moon to announce when you swallow mousey...

I like very mush seeing the way you introduce colour to your intricate ink drawings. And I love that sky in particular....

Enjoy that caffeine hit...

A late catch up here, @dunelm

Glad you returned safely

Sounds like a good time was had all-round
Glorious pics ..off your mobile ?..very crisp.
Hi @jjraak - yes, pics off my mobile. Mrs Miggins thinks that my Samsung camera takes better images than her IPhone. I have been informed that as the ‘camera’ on a phone is not a true camera that you can properly focus, to just take a 1:1 ratio image and edit it later if needed.

And some much needed hugs for you @jjraak
All these type hospital/medical visits are emotionally draining. You have a bit of a respite from them for the moment.
Take care xx
Very astute of you @gennepher .

I know I was quiet this week, but even Lauren mentioned it.

Not overly exerting to get to appointments but once yesterday's was over, I felt drained

Got home , too tired to cook ..a quick bite then bed 5pm.....where I pretty much lay until now.

Some sleep, some snoozing .

Plan is to be up today, begin moving forward with exercises etc once more

Worried I was doing more damage,
seems the rod is plenty strong enough.

Pain I have to work through because it's the weight/pressure that makes the bone knit and solidify ..(described it as a bruise, if not pushed it stays 'soft' )

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen. National bin day to celebrate today.
.
Today bloods were 5.1 and physically active morning planned, time to be careful with my insulin dosage, not an surmountable problem and sympathy is not required.
.
Looks like a good few days to avoid the media, also covid, monkey pox and while you’re at it walking in front of a bus.
Make the most of today it is unique and celebrate with a koffy or beverage of your choice.
Now I must depart and annoy other areas of life.

Thursday in Breckland: factually an accurate statement which is something that currently seems to belong to a bygone age. No known fbg which may not be the best choice but remains my judgement call for now. Welcome back @Jojo85. Stunning progress and wonderful news on the kidney function. @jjraak hug for waiting not being what you want to hear but what you need. @gennepher so much love for that/those wildlife. Thank you for the kaleidoscope, as @dunelm says it does seem reminiscent of a fig. @dunelm thanks for the now colourful art. Today I shall continue to blunder around managing various conditions which modern medicine seems to offer various madcap ideas for "managing." Very Harry Enfield (sorry Genn, hope you can find some text)

Yup @jjraak
Give yourself tiny little goals during the day, and a tiny reward for each one.
You possibly have to reassess your idea of a tiny goal, as being so tiny it feels almost not worthy of mention. But several of these tiny goals every day, and you will probably see a tiny difference in even a few days...
Quite a lot of these tinies yet, and you will get somewhere...

Brailsford's Marginal Gains or Dr Bernstein's Law of small numbers. Btw, I can and do advise that for others but ....... I guess being born on June 19th makes one different:angelic:
