Very much OUCH.Yesterday after wasp sting spray and multiple ice packs I was wondering why hornets have such a fearsome reputation. Today the swelling and redness is covering the base of my thumb and is heading to the inner elbow. It's extremely uncomfortable. Google tells me the swelling continues to increase for forty eight hours and can take seven to ten days to go down. Ok it's time to take antihistamine.
Thank you @ianpspurs and we are all digging in for the Omnishambles already although the online spelling bee doesn’t seem to recognise such a big word. I hope that this format is only temporary - looks like it’s made on Wordpress - should I let them know how much my Wordpress tutorials are?Morning all as we adjust to the new look. I'm ok with the colours and font size but miss the agree and hug ratings. Summer is hanging on here so we had a lovely time at Thetford Forest High Lodge with the Winchester Gang yesterday. They are off home today, teacher to meet before school starts Wednesday, so the house will seem somewhat different. Just time for me to catch up on some sport and for us to prepare for Sunday lunch with MIL. Good news on the physio and impending residential @dunelm. That beginning promises to end with perhaps my all time favourite piece of your wonderful art. No pressure. Do take good care of yourselves there's an Omnishambles coming. Must go, I have to parade up and down the main drag with me sandwich board.
Thank you @Goonergal - Liking the ‘Retired Moderator’ - could it not have said, ‘Consultant’? Just been fiddling about with the font size and it does, if you look through a micrometer, seem to change but would not have said so without specialist tools.Apologies, I’m no longer a mod/‘behind the curtain’ so I know as much (little) as you. Not enjoying the change so far. I guess some of it is just familiarity, but there are definite issues with contrast, visibility and finding things. I’ll tag @Administrator for you.
Editing to say that it does seem that some features work better / worse according to the ‘scheme’ you’re using. I just tried adjusting font size in ‘default’ and it didn’t change. It does change using UI.X. I’m also on an iPad.
Oh we need an “ooch ouch” button here - nasty things and you would not think so if you have ever rode their namesake, a Vespa! The do keep insects and spiders under control and pollinate things so not all bad - just don’t get in their way.Yesterday after wasp sting spray and multiple ice packs I was wondering why hornets have such a fearsome reputation. Thanks alf but my insights are best ignored. My home village is missing it's idiot and Breckland is still vetting my application.Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and a special mention for @ianpspurs for a very deep and personal insightful posting, morning has broken! Well fix it dear Lisa, fix it.
Bloods this morning were 5.8, I shall just say thank you and move on.
This site, change is never welcome, I personally would like more choice of the like etc buttons, but being technologically illiterate I shall wait and see if some of the functions have been simplified. The jury is out.
I am now running late on today’s allotted tasks so I shall wish you all well and hope you stay safe.
I keep looking in to try and get used to the new layout etc etc. I react badly to change, especially when it aggravates my eyes. And I am still not finding this easy to read. Neither are a lot of you I know. I'll post a picture from last night in a minute...Greetings to everyone from East Omnishamblia where it is not yet as warm as I like but things should improve. Two birthdays in the family today: a Hampshire based granddaughter and very local DIL No parties to attend, all done last week, just Sunday lunch with MIL. Here's a collection of images I see each morning to remind me the world isn’t all bad. I like the hymn a great deal but by all means turn the sound off and just enjoy the sights. Enjoy Oxburgh Hall @Krystyna23040. Sorry you don’t like the way that latest piece of art is progressing @dunelm as I am feeling much love for said work and indeed the whole genre. Missing your creatives and wildlife tales @gennepher. Chicken for lunch here today. "A chicken in every pot and two cars in every garage." History, in the guise of vacuous political boasts, seems to be eerily repeating itself. Let’s just pray Karl’s observation on how that ends doesn’t get top Marx. That movie didn't end at all well. Y’all enjoy whatever it is you enjoy while it lasts.
Sorry it's still hurting to use forum, @gennepherI haven't been taking my fbg, it's only when I come on here I do it...
The still from the 30 second video, on the whereabouts of Midnight (cat), before the fox goes under the swing for some spilt cat biscuits (when I took the bowl away for the night...).
My daughter from Oz, this morning, pointed out the fox looked too thin. And sent me a link of possible foods to feed it tonight. All I had in fresh meat was 100 grams of beef mince, it was to have been my lunch. I had eggs instead.
I have noticed in previous nights the same fox taking broken pieces of fatballs (fallen from the bird feeders) in his/her mouth and carefully carrying them out of the garden and then coming back. It's den cannot be too far.
Anyway I have to lock up now, getting dark.

I agree with @jjraak that it is very caring of you to give the fox your food but it is so important that you look after yourself first .I haven't been taking my fbg, it's only when I come on here I do it...

As has been said, very commendable feeding the fox but who cares for the carer?

Thank you, for your thoughts.Sorry it's still hurting to use forum, @gennepher
Bless you for the caring act of the food
But remember to look after yourself first, or Yiu can't look after the flock...and then where would they be ?
Stay safe & lovely
Thanks for the Morning Has Broken images. We would not be voting for Hoover nowadays, probably Mr Dyson. lovely painting. Hope you enjoy the coffeeGood morning everyone from a mainly damp start here in the dark and dangerous north. Red sky last night but the jury is out for now. Wonderful for thinking of your visitors @gennepher - a real host but as has been said, who cares for the carer. SIL birthday yesterday and the weather did her proud but it’s a staying in and wait day at present - things being delivered - a big box to house briquettes for the fire, some fancy push openers and a new power band from the planet Lithium. Bliss this morning, a brand new pack of koffy - ah, the aroma. I am torn between ignoring news of Harry The Thick and Meghan The Mardy deigning to fly commercial or the nail biting non event of announcing either Dumb or Dumber at around noon. Nothing to be done so I will slurp koffy. Art bit - not as finished as I would have liked but never mind. Onwards and upwards. Hope you all have a pleasing day.
