Girl in the bubble stayed over last night so Mrs Miggins had to get her up and out for nursery for 0730. HbA1c today at the GP surgery. This will be interesting as I have strayed from the low road lately. I shall call it an experiment. There, sorted and a good marker to jump back into line. No more beer frenzied midnight bowls of Kelloggs Frosties for you my lad even if they are grrrrrreat! Art bit - some monochrome, so avant-garde. I hope that you all have a most pleasant day, we are awaiting the excitement that is the cavalcade of the bin lorry. But first, some koffy.

I would love to see it if you find it @AnnbIt's getting better and better. Love the monochrome. The steps with plants growing through them remind me of a photo I took years ago of an old castle in Wakayama of a set of steps with a fairly mature tree growing in the middle, looking as though it was tip-toeing down the steps on the points of its roots. The castle was burned down and the gardens ruined in WW2. They rebuilt the castle but left the garden to go fairly wild. I wonder where I put that photo.

Midnight slept indoors on the comfy kitchen chair nearly all day yesterday.
I think you can call him an indoors cat now. The wildlife trail cam showed he had not been out to the swing all night...

I was watching the sparrows yesterday. I watch them everyday. There is a flock of them living 24/7 in my back garden these last two weeks. I am not sure how many, 50 or more? They are extremely noisy, like they are having a party all day long. They are eating me out of house and home. And I am running out of fatballs, which are virtually unobtainable at the moment. So yesterday I rationed them to two fatballs, one in each feeder...
Whoops, that did not go down well.
I did put bird seed out, but the sparrows wanted their fatballs.
To start with, it was very orderly, the sparrows sat two or three on a branch while one sparrow was on the fatball feeder, that one took a few pecks, then flew away, and the next sparrow came along and had her feed from the fatball feeder. And in the meantime from the branch behind came another sparrow to sit on the nearest branch to the fatball feeder. And so this orderly queueing went on for a short while, then suddenly chaos. One sparrow decided it was getting to the front of the queue without waiting. And all the others joined. This meant the fatball got broken up easily and fell between the wire frame to the ground. No more fatball.
So the sparrows regrouped themselves and went and had a raucous party on the wind fallen apples at the end of the garden. Then they retired to the rose bush right outside my bedroom door and carried on their noisy celebrations. I actually went outside and told them to shut up. They were silent for one minute...
Now Midnight is hardly outside at the moment, this flock of sparrows are taking up the whole garden, including being on the ground a lot, and turning over the area when the foxes and badgers root for food, which they didn't do with Midnight watching them 24/7...
The times are changing. Nothing stays the same.
Creative is a painting of 3 sparrows looking at me for only providing 1 fatball in their feeder.
I need to go on a fatball expedition...
But first a cuppa, then wend my way to a covid vaccination centre...

I find delving back into our past is often useful for perspective. Here is an old saying associated with today: “Eat a goose on Michaelmas Day, Want not for money all the year”. Could be straight out of an interview with one of the modern fruitcakes. More detail on Michaelmas in the uk here. Angels are from the simplistic ages you say? We have the Laffer curve, the invisible hand of The Market, Trussenomics, 10k steps a day, Gwyneth's Gloop and so much more. Brexit Bonus anyone? Confession is good for the soul, but seeing as I’m not very keen soul music I’m not going to confess. The last few weeks have been full on medically all sorts of tests, biopsies scans etc, yesterday me, me’s and myself got the results and treatment plan. Just continuous 4 monthly blood tests whew. If you are wondering what it was, just think male urinary problems, at least now I can reschedule my hystericalrectonmy. Then I can reapply to strictly come dancing, I’ve polished my hobnail booties with the pompoms on the top, very similar to ones the Greek squaddies wear on fancy occasions.

Well today is a fresh start with infinite possibilities for causing chaos and mayhem, let the fun begin.

The German bars look really delicious.Hopefully your reaction to the double jab will be mild. The chocolate orange is this and definitely smells and tastes of orange which reminds me of pre-LC. Postage for the German bars is £12.90 however many I buy so bulk buying would work. The issue with buying in bulk is, as you say, storage plus I detest erythritol so I need to try single items first. The German bars have no horrible aftertaste and are my favourites. Their advent calendar was wonderful. You should rest up and have plenty of cuppas.

My arm hurts like mad. Just the bit between elbow and shoulder. And I am incredibly sleepy. So I have been sleeping a lot. I had a good long night' sleep, just woke up when I needed more painkillers.
Got all doors and windows wide open. Hoping the fresh air will wake me up. And I have the electric throw on top of me to keep me warm. That will stay on all day if needs be.
Now all I need is cat Midnight to learn how to make cups of tea, and keep me supplied with them...

What an awful state of affairs .Good news. The Department has a representative on the Island, just nowhere to meet up with clients. But they have managed to borrow a room from the local council to meet Neil next week. It appears that this benefit is still in its rolling-out phase and still has teething problems - fairly important ones, it seems, if they can't even afford an office of their own (and can't use the facilities of the DSS, or whatever it's called these days).
