What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Afternoon all.

Another day of feeling yuk yesterday, at some point....tested and down at 4.6...yikes.
No wonder I felt rough.

Beginning to think I'm spiking late then crashing after any exertions..mmhh

(yesterday's was a short bike ride )

On a more foxy point ...
Walking Frankie (well I say walking..lol )
He stands transfixed, low growling, staring as 3 small looking foxes slowly traipse though local parks metal railing park gate .

My turn to stand transfixed when a much bigger fox comes through them, and conceivably stood as if in challenge to any small growly dog trying to come near his kith & kin.

Oddly Frankie, now growless & head down, sniffing the weeds etc, didn't see him.

" What's that you say, JJ ..a big fox came out..really .

Nope, I never did saw him at all, far too busy sniffing where others doggies have been....good job I didn't see him though I'd a shown him what for....

What !! go back THAT Way....

Absolutely not ....LOOK.. a tree ..."

His look suggested, as he scurried away from the fearless fox.


FBG this AM...stepped away from the lower reaches of Mt Shooga, having descended over several months, but now left circling the low 6's , high above McGarrett Plains.

With diet not quite back at rigorous levels, it's something I'm attributing to higher exercise levels...

tho to be fair, compared to where I was, that could be described as just moving, by many others ...

Cold but sun is SHINING here in the Capital.

Considering taking crutch & seeing if me & the furry nephew can roam a little of Richmond park.

Good afternoon everyone from quite a bright day here in the dark and dangerous north. Today I have increased the fiscal powers of un-used rooms to control their own heating budgets in a red wall leveling up as long as they abolish the wearing of red robes and funny hats. Evidently one in ten young people have no plans to ever work - best start salting fish and beef and dust off my Food For Free book by Richard Mabey. Art bit, some swirly whirly based upon childhood squiggles by John Venn. Have a brilliant day if you can, it’s international bin day here tomorrow so best dress the bins with tinsel and line them up before it gets too cold. No koffy now, the yard arm is well below the horizon.

@gennepher and @dunelm once again thank you so much for sharing your artistic talents. @gennepher yours is very deep and seemingly reflecting light from an unseen source: mimesis? @dunelm I'm intrigued by where that piece could possibly end but know it will be superb when finally complete. Not sure I'll ever understand art but I realise I am blessed to see the work of two gifted exponents each day.

8.6 this morning. Topped out at 13.2 before breakfast and then started back down to current 7.9.

@dunelm, that spiral tunnel is likely to make the one who walks down it a bit dizzy. Looking forward to its completion.
@gennepher, love the icy, watery effect. Feels rather chilly though. Need to sit by the room heater now.
@jjraak, Frankie sounds like a very sensible dog. The figures in that quotation are awesome - in the true sense of the word.

Hi all,
A very cold night with bright moon and garden bathed in moonlight and the stars still very visible.
Frost severe at the moment in Cumbria, politicians must help those in this country they have driven into the poverty of not having any heating on as a cold winter would ruin their health.
God help those to in Ukraine's winter.

Got to take the Octavia in for MOT at 10am and not looking forward to starting two cars to get into town and get back home.
December is not the month for garage work.

Good morning everyone from an already busy start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Bin noises as they are dragged kicking and screaming like vampires into the light. Even before that, Mrs Goggins the Postmistress was scratching on the door well before first light with a couple of parcels. Wonder what Mrs Miggins has ordered now? One of our strings of Christmas lights is quite old so as a bit of a pre-festive quiz, I have loosened off the 97th bulb (a prime) so now none of the bulbs light up. Just to make it interesting, I have placed the little box of spare bulbs (as we still have some) in the drawer of mystery that is modeled upon Mary Poppins’ Gladstone bag. Art bit - are we beginning to spiral? Have a marvelous day, my koffy is now ready.


 
This view is stomach churning for me this early in a morning @dunelm it has me dropping down in a vertical hole, but I am guessing it is actually an underground horizontal passageway....
 
Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and Neanderthals, reputedly Neanderthals could withstand the cold.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.8.

Yesterday’s visit to the dentists went well, much hilarity, chaos were the order of the total time we were there, from the receptionist through to the dentist and hygienist with respective nurses, Mrs J is a known entity. At one point a complete stranger came into the surgery and commented that it’s not often one hears laughter in the dentists.

@jjraak and others, bitterly ( cold ) experience has taught me that cold temperatures drop my blood sugars, coupled with activity caused a few hypo’s last winter, this I now factory into my insulin dosage calculation.

@dunelm todays artwork reminds me of the view on the screen during a colonoscopy, please don’t colour it pink, being typed while clenching cheeks.

Edit, this was written on Wednesday afternoon, but silly me forgot to post it on the thread, I would give myself 10 lashes of the whip, but I probably would enjoy that.
