What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

A win for the treatment.

A hug for Neil & a suggestion he deserves a treat from your culinary magic ..
Unfortunately, Neil can't eat any of the goodies I can make. He is seriously allergic to any sugar (natural or synthetic), anything containing animal protein (meat, eggs, dairy) and anything with more than an absolutely minimal amount of fibre. It's very difficult making anything he can eat. I wish I could but it's about 30 years now since he told me to give up trying - he would just do his own thing.

I have challenged people before @Annb
One was a security guard. As far as he was concerned he had every right to park in that space. Twenty minutes I spent trying to get through to him. Finally I went back to my car, he had refused to give me his details, and took a photo from there to report him. He chased (ran) after me once he realized what I had done. And reported him .
Probably nothing happened.

But I have taken photos a few times, to report them, but I need my get away car once I have taken the photo...they really don't like me doing that...

It sounds a very productive session.

Poor Neil. It's pity you cannot park closer.

I am glad your feet feel better after today's session.

Bedtime and in the bathroom the sound of ice hitting the skylight is enough to bring on the goosebumps. Perhaps the planned trip to the local market will be cancelled. We can manage without milk, bread and fresh vegetables for a few days.

Good to hear there IS a reason
AND a treatment plan.

As an avid viewer of #ArchieWatch, I hope we can look forward to many more years of updates on one of my fav 'Dogs of the Forum'

Long may he romp freely on his many walks.

Fbg monitor won't work, keeps saying error. It does have a new battery in it, but still says error. I think that has succumbed to the cold, like my newest tablet, my Apple iPad mini which will not charge up in these cold temperatures. Yes, I have these devices in my bedroom. Yet no problems with my Android devices which I am relying a lot on now. If I put the iPad mini on an electric blanket, it hugs it and then starts charging. The same effect when that large living black furry blanket sits over it, or I use him to lean the iPad mini against, and it sucks warmth , like a vampire, from that cat.

I lost my woolly hat, it fell off somewhere in the bungalow...so I am now wearing my furry Russian hat with ear flaps...

As well as an electric blanket on my bed, and me wrapped up like a pregnant yeti, I have the large oil 13 fin radiator on, and the ceramic heater going. And then I look at my smart meter, only to see some words scrolling across it. I look in shock. I am stunned. No, not the electricity I have used, I cannot even see that because of the words scrolling across it. "You have exceeded your weekly allowance..." over and over again. I am rooted to the spot, and my brain is playing a new blockbuster film, called "You have exceeded..." ...you have exceeded your weekly water allowance...you have exceeded your weekly allowance of 1.2 eggs...you have exceeded your weekly fuel for your car...you have exceeded your online data...with dire penalties for doing so...slowly you are being squeezed out of existence.

That b***** smart meter display now has a cloth over it so I cannot see it. That message "you have exceeded..." is giving me nightmares for the future, and I couldn't stop the message continuously scrolling covering the entire screen...

I presume this is just because I have used more electricity in this cold snap like we all are, but who the heck decided I have a weekly budget? Based on what? My direct debit?

I don't use much electricity. I have always been economical, and I prefer cold air (not quite this cold though). The smart meter was telling me off for using £7:23p worth of electricity this week!!!!!!!!!

YouTube video on my nighttime TrailCam...

This is cat Jade and she appears to be actively stalking the fox I call Foxy Loxy...the eyes in the dark are Jade's...

Brilliant!!!

Sorry I didn't respond to this and some other posts yesterday, but the site didn't show me one page of messages yesterday.

Very dramatic!!!

Love it @jjraak

Morning team.

Almost halfway through my 'December Challenge" and so far not broken ANY Bones.

New meds being tested here.

Slow release Metformin was advised & so I changed from my more standard version.
Due to one other new med for BP.

(Been a tad high since accident.

Likely the immobility, worrying amount of drugs, conflicting dietary needs & lack of much exercise, but I'm not discounting the stress & turmoil of the year...or the creep of old age )

So hopefully it's just part of a holistic treatment regime to get me back somewhat closer to where I was pre accident ..I pray.

Anyway, while I never had any of the more common adverse effects of Met, it's probably not of much use me saying that being on a less intrusive version I still tolerate it well (no adverse effects so far )

But I would say, while the tablet (torpedo shape) does slip down easily enough, it is visibly bigger then my previous version (round pill).

Bonus point, as I may have mentioned in previous posts, HBA1c is up..
(Could have been much worse. ™® JJ.Inc)

But reading up on my BP meds it seems that, that too can help reduce my BG Levels .....So I'll add that data as it comes along

Today's FBG's a "steady as she goes, Mon capitan".. 6.7

A day doggie sitting the furry nephew....so who knows where the day will take us ..

Be safe all.

Brilliant @Krystyna23040
I am so glad you have a treatment plan.
You must be feeling so relieved.

A hug for both of you x

The new meds regime sounds very promising @jjraak

Broken no bones this month...SUCCESS...

Have a good day with the furry nephew!

All in all, an excellent report!

£7.23 - how can that be excessive? Looks like they have you on the Rishi Sunak King’s new suite contributor support package by Henry Herbert of Bloomsbury - never mind the width (or height), feel the quality! Hope you find your hat although the fury Russian ones are fab as long as it’s not turned inside out and mistaken by someone else as an intruder cat. Smashing artwork - steer right to miss that planet.

All in all a great success - I am now on my third go with BP tablets - first lot didn’t work, second lot didn’t do much but provided much entertainment with side orders - this third one - too early to tell, only day 2.

Good morning everyone on a let it snow, let it snow, let it snow start here in the dark and dangerous north. Luckily, as a man of leisure, I am in no rush to get out there, dust off the car in a mad panic and slip and slide to work in some crazed Top Gear production of Swan Lake on ice, with cars and other more interesting vehicles. Tracked vehicles are always interesting on icy roads - pull hard on the break tillers and voila, a 15 ton toboggan. Art bit - finished the pathway - just need to add some colour and sky. It’s pre-international bin day today so do take it easy out there when setting out buntings. If you don’t have buntings, other birds will do but do feed them generously. Talking of which, koffy!

Somehow, this pathway is beginning to look like "The Golden Road" which runs down the east side of Harris. It is a narrow road, of course, not a path to walk on, but the shape is similar and it overhangs a steep drop down to the Minch. A very hairy drive - not to be attempted in today's kind of weather. That path is not to be attempted in icy weather either.

Don't blame you for covering your smart meter. What a cheek, to put such a message up. Just confirms my decision to stay clear of smart meters for as long as possible, although I don't think I will be able to do that indefinitely.

Great creative. Red planet coming close to earth. Not sure which one it is. Maybe Mars?
