It'll never last Here there will be roast lamb shoulder for lunch - "home produced by Chris on the Euston Estate near Bury St Edmunds. Food Fairy has a cut finger (no, I didn't have here felling trees. No 1 son has done the chain saw courses) so no studding with anchovies, garlic and rosemary but used in the spiffing trivet . I will watch the football later, especially if No 3 son makes it. There has been some wonderful football despite being held in the wrong place (probably?) chosen for all the wrong reasons. I would prefer France to win, captain is a Spurs player, but their superstar has won one WC, is younger than Messi plus my instinct is Argentina needs a lift more than France. Here, in what seems like the dystopian Narnia for now, how about Psalm 144 vv 12-14 for a manifesto? . I’m in, now how we gonna get this done? Thanks to t'internet for that explanation of why the BVM's response meant she wasn’t struck dumb and Zeccariah was. Have a simply wonderful 4th Sunday in Advent - no candles here fire risk. Gentlemen, roasting your chestnuts on an open fire , even with vaccination and masking, could seriously damage your health and put the NHS under undue pressure. Someone in the district near me has a generator going, and it stinks. Making my stomach feel sick...

Talking with the assistant in the charity shop yesterday where I bought two great all wool crocheted blankets. She was saying many people in this area had turned off their electricity and gas, and one person had even turned off their water (really???) and was utilising rainwater (enough of it), and that same person was in the public library in the day to keep warm (there's a loo there) and charging all their devices and phone at the library...

Hug for the smell from the generator and the cold. Good news on the warm blankets. Thank you for the ambivalent creative - bleak or the promise of light and new life to come? Tragedy for those reduced to turning everything off. Some libraries are in multi use complexes and do have showers and offer hot food as well as food banks so that poor person could keep clean, warm and have food as well. Two links seem to twin well with your creative, for me anyhow. Why is UK in such a mess? Where is this hope of things improving? As I posted earlier, I'm in. How do we get this done between us? Not by more of the attached.which is not resolute Olly, just insane according to a misquoted Einstein.

I had no idea until recently with you posting lyrics, that there were so many meaningful words and phrases within songs...
 
Our library, is just a small library building on its own, no showers, nor food available there, no cuppas either...
The food bank is now at the Sally Army on a Friday morning. There used to be one in the docks, but that one's shut down...
And so has the Trussell Trust shut down the shop they originally used in the HighStreet.
But you can still make donations of food for the Trussell Trust (I do), at the funeral parlour...

What a marvelous piece, speaking honestly of the nature of our current leadership.

While many might see it as anti Tory, I see it as anti THESE tories.

Both (all parties) two sides of the same coin previously, just one shinier then the other in certain departments.

But under Johnson, it's become a mafia based soap.
And the risk the brigand of honesty, pillager of truth, would even be given the feintest of thoughts, let alone considered a saviour....AAAGGHH.

You're welcome. As for all being the same or Starmer just being a more compassionate version, any marginal gain has to grabbed with both hands. @gennepher at least Hancock lobbied hard for this which is supposed to be a blueprint for the future. As for song lyrics. I'm glad they are useful. I think God uses family, sport and song lyrics to speak to me most clearly. He seems to use family ,creativity, friendships and wildlife for you. Whichever way He uses it is personal and just right for that person which is obvious.

A great aim, Iain, apart from the thousands of sheep and the poor hard-worked oxen. A bit heavy on the environment and a bit heavy on the oxen. But, for the time it was composed, it was well worth aiming for.

FBG today 8.4 - climbed before breakfast to 11.9 but now down to 7.9. Pretty reasonable for me.
 
Thanks @ianpspurs and the 4 miles was in two slices interspersed with a stop in a cafe for refreshments. Don’t worry about the bacon butties up here. We know it’s called a bacon butty but that is just a generic term for anything grass fed shoved between 2 slices of locally baked bread, packed with low carb sawdust. We always buy in the local shop, for local people, where milk is turned to butter by the butcher’s wife by just frowning at it. Sauce? What sauce.
 
Some people are finding it very difficult with all these price rises. A lovely winter scene you have made.

A delightful day out.

Lauren , myself & Frankie hit the Xmas market at Chiswick house.

A good spell as Frankie enjoyed the social aspect of running, chasing , being chased & generally putting his nose where polite society doesn't , and was amenable to others, so interested

Then onto the market stalls themselves .
A nice way to reduce the weight of anyone's wallet with of all things doggie Christmas pudding ...

Various livers, chicken, etc crafted into what I could only describe as miniature 'Cakes', the kind of which you'd find in patisserie Valerie & like minded top end Cake shops .

Sure to barely touch the sides, but it makes the girls happy.

Pricey but I think worth it for the treat.

The biltong was also nice, but I couldn't really tell the difference from the ones I can buy more locally, more my taste buds fault then the quality of the product, so I skipped that & doubled up on the Droëwors..nom nom.

A squint at nature under ice rules, poor ducks & co, muddling around the small portion of lake not iced up.

A very naughty hot chocolate & a nibble of Laurens fabulous chocolate brownie, finished of a lovely outing.
