I have to agree. I don't like to think it and I would be very unwilling to take cow's milk out of my diet - more so butter and cream but I may have to consider it if it helps to control my crazy BG.Coconut milk - no. I can’t for the life of me think it makes any difference unless someone is lactose intolerant or says that they are to be trendy. Also, I believe that coconut milk has fewer nutrients than dairy milk. While many brands of coconut milk provide calcium, vitamin A, vitamin B12 and vitamin D, these nutrients are all fortified. I wonder how it gets to our shores from such places as Indonesia and India - are we propping up another industry over our own dairy farmers?
Staircase shaping up nicely there. Is Rapunzel locked in a room at the top?Good morning everyone on yet another international bin day here in the dark and dangerous north. Far more work getting done by our bin collectors than by those suits in Davos, is that why Jacinda is resigning? Just done yet another lateral flow test - still negative despite my best efforts to look the part. Mrs Miggins is turning her attention to the garage and has already sold the now surplus bike rack, which is a good thing as taking bikes on holiday only for them to laze about all day was so counter productive. Also, it was one of those that connects to a tow bar and such fun when reversing. Art bit, more texture to the staircase to who knows where. Have a great day if you can, I shall begin mine by cleaning out the wood burner but first, some koffy.

I'm the same - coffee never gives me a boost and I can quite happily drink it at night and still get a good night's sleep (for me - about 3 hours). It is so interesting how we react to different foods. Our bodies are so complex. There is definitely no 'one size fits all '.
For instance, the majority of people seem to find drinking coffee late in the day affects their sleep. If I can't sleep I drink a cup of coffee and it helps me fall asleep really quickly and my fitbit shows that I get a really good night's sleep. So my cure for insomnia is most peoples cause of insomnia.
Yes you are right @dunelm. When I looked back at last year at this time my blood sugars were also higher than normal for me. Not as high as this year though because I didn't go so far 'off-piste' over Christmas last year.Tricky time of year I think for lowering blood sugars, mainly due to circulating bugs and extra medication - just a thought - no evidence! Well done Archie - cling tightly to that radiator.
How lucky we are. A work colleague some years ago couldn't even drink one cup of coffee without having dreadful palpitations and was horrified at the amount of coffee I consumed.I'm the same - coffee never gives me a boost and I can quite happily drink it at night and still get a good night's sleep (for me - about 3 hours).
Yes, I found the two.lovely cats.Fbg 6.1
The new ginger cat stray is still here...
On the wildlife nighttime camera it shows he will not leave his spot on the swing all night, not even for the bathroom. He seems determined to hang on to this spot.
He doesn't seem to get much sleep with all that busy nighttime activity going on. And when you can't see him on the video, he is tucked in that spot by the wind chimes.
Ghost Cat, the large ginger tom visits, and so does Jade for her cat biscuits on the other end of the swing. I put those cat biscuits there for Jade originally so she could snack while sitting on the swing all night!
Foxy Loxy is mooching around all night from sunset to dawn.
This garden is his nighttime home!
The new ginger stray looks as if he is staying, but he doesn't have any cat friends yet. I will name him Merlin.
Creative was done in ZenBrush3 on my tiny Pixel 4a phone screen, and then finished in iPainter, there is no Procreate on Android
Very small cats (maybe too small), but I am experimenting still...but I can see them because I know where I put them!
Dark and sleet outside...
Another cuppa from my eternal flask...
Have your best day ...
Edit: I can see both 'hidden' cats on my tiny pixel screen, so maybe a success to do the painting on my Pixel phone?

Found them! Are they hiding there waiting for birds to land, or are they so well cared for that they aren't hungry enough to hunt? Brilliant painting by the way.Fbg 6.1

Neil drinks coffee (always real, ground coffee - he won't touch instant stuff) but he find it pushes his blood pressure up. Since he has a bit of a problem with low blood pressure, he finds it a useful tool. It makes absolutely no difference to me whether, instant or freshly ground. How lucky we are. A work colleague some years ago couldn't even drink one cup of coffee without having dreadful palpitations and was horrified at the amount of coffee I consumed.
Smashing painting of two cat mountains. Is that you in the boat?Fbg 6.1

Safe journey, Ian. Hope the roads aren't too bad.Morning all. It is bright, sunny but cold here. I'm shortly off across The Fens to be infused which is neither painful nor it seems giving me side effects. I'm also very much hoping for it to continue for a long while. Have as good a day as you can and unfortunately for you I may be back later.
Thank you @Krystyna23040Yes, I found the two.lovely cats.
No cat hunts in my garden @AnnbFound them! Are they hiding there waiting for birds to land, or are they so well cared for that they aren't hungry enough to hunt? Brilliant painting by the way.

Should have added that any sugar is a no no for Neil that includes fructose - so no fruit either and few vegetables because they both have fibre in them - his Crohn's control diet means nothing with any noticeable fibre content. His only vegetables are mushrooms and sprouted seeds. He keeps trying others, but hasn't found any other possibles yet. He does take supplements though, so he stays reasonably healthy most of the time.Neil drinks coffee (always real, ground coffee - he won't touch instant stuff) but he find it pushes his blood pressure up. He does have an allergic reaction to any lactose - be it from a cow, a goat or a sheep - we've tried them all. He also has problems with most animal proteins but can take Lactofree Cheddar and can eat some fish. Fish is a medicine for him because tinned mackerel or tinned sardines, if in brine, can help to control his Crohn's disease when it flares up. He doesn't take any medication for that condition - just controls it with diet.
