Predictive text and predictive grammar is the most absolute annoying thing ever.Just noticed that predictive text has inserted irrelevant into my post. Predictive text is so annoying sometimes.
Sounds like a grand trip to the seaside @dunelmGood morning everyone from another predicted 10 degrees today but I shall still be wrapping up in layers are we are off out, out. One of mum’s friends is picking us up for a trip to the sea side and a sea food restaurant where all manner of creatures can be chased around your plate to the sound of ooh la la and some galic shrugs. 5.8 on the scales of doom this morning so best not have any more Leffe - yes, I know but hey! Art bit - not a lot done but I don’t mind. Hope your day is kind to you. I simply must have some koffy.

Sounds like a great day out. Have fun chasing those fishy things around your plate and enjoy looking at the sea, but keep warm - it's not exactly equatorial out there.Good morning everyone from another predicted 10 degrees today but I shall still be wrapping up in layers are we are off out, out. When I used the "Word" word processor, predictive text could be a problem, but that was a relatively old version and it wasn't too much problem. I currently use the "Libre" word processor - not quite as "clever" as the current "Word" and it doesn't have predictive text (or if it does, it doesn't turn on automatically and I haven't found it yet). From what I have heard, the up-to-date version of Word is a pain in the neck.Predictive text and predictive grammar is the most absolute annoying thing ever.
And I typed an email to offend the other day, and it was absolutely correct when I typed it, because I spellcheck it myself, but between those few seconds before I pressed the send button it has changed a lot. And when I went to read it from the sent folder it was not what I had said. And I had to send an immediate apology....
Look what it has just done there in second paragraph "And I typed an email to offend the other day..."
What I just actually wrote was "And I typed an ego to send the other day..."
It has altered it again...
NOT "ego", "email"...
I am convinced either the programmers or AI are having a laugh at our expense...
My friend typed me a reply...and AI had some fun with that...
I think @dunelm biggest issue is avoiding being bundled into a rubber dinghy, not hypothermia, imho.Better keep some to dip your feet in when you come back from your paddle, dunelm.
Hi Genn.Because it is peace of mind that it's not going to come at 10 pm at the dark of night, which mine often tended to come late in the evening.
Definitely it is having a laugh at our expense. The worst one was when a friends dog went deaf and I sent a text saying how sorry I was that her dog was now deaf. Predictive text changed deaf to dead. Luckily my friend thought that it was funny.Predictive text and predictive grammar is the most absolute annoying thing ever.

Really gives a feel for the days weather .
Same here. I am often by front window if sun is shining. And I see a lot of white/unidentified vans delivering from late afternoon. They are trying their hardest, the drivers, to make ends meet. And what is problematic for me when a white van stops and someone comes out after dark and up my driveway, I don't answer the door. I'll wait till the driver comes back to the white van, and then I go out and they've left it outside my door, the Amazon parcel.Hi Genn.
Because I've been tinkering with scooter in street, I see the delivery drivers .
Very few seem to come in the Amazon wagons, most look like van owners freelancing
I wouldn't be surprised if many are either doing it part time after work of sharing use of a company van (a few are liveried up with signs for the owners other business )
So many of them arrive, towards the back end or later of the day .
Liking your plan for winters darker nights ...worth the money in group purchase for the peace of mind
Thank you IanMorning all on a very sunny day here in what isn't really anything I understand as East Anglia or The Brecks as a whole. It is just a very odd/unique little area. Not exactly a surprise given all the contributory factors. My bg was 4.8 from the blood samples yesterday but it was "collected on 08/02/2023 11:40 from Venepuncture (Serum) " (yes, like Hermione I checked this out earlier for a little light reading) and "resulted on 08/02/2023 22:32." I wasn't technically fasted - I had some almond milk. Given the method and time delay before analysis anything up to .5 could be added. Seems as though a have a loose handle on this bg malarkey. @gennepher good news on the parcel and the sound plan for the darker evenings. Thank you for that creative which has a kind of art noir beauty. I'm going slightly native. @dunelm not a bad fbg after #Leffegate.and thanks for the art. Enjoy the seaside and seafood. We once had an amazing day and meal at Lacanau. Celeriac chips were duly eaten yesterday but the plan to avoid salty sausages was scuppered by the logistics of feeding 2 grandchildren to a tight deadline plus their parents. Try again today. Enjoy your day as much as humanly possible but don't pretend you are living your best life just for social media.
the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? Some excellent examples of doing just that on here. Also the member to whom this refers: we don't really need to lock our doors, or wonder who is there late at night. To name but two. Respect.FBG at 3.20 am was 9.6. A bit of a wobble down then up to 10.9 but now, after breakfast, it's 7.8.
Fairly bright day here at the moment, although it was very wet and windy when Em came at 7.30 this morning, and even when she went to school at 8.30. At least the wind was behind her as she went up the road so it must have been from the south west. The constant wind is affecting the temperature in the house. The kitchen is warm enough, but the rest of the house is pretty cold.
There are advantages and disavantages living here on the Islands - one disadvantage is the transport problem when the weather is bad, or when the ferry breaks down; one advantage @gennepher, is that other than in the town, we don't really need to lock our doors, or wonder who is there late at night. I do have a set of keys but they have never been used other than when we went away to the mainland for something. Even then, we left the back door open for Alistair to get in with the post. When we first came here, even in town, nobody locked their doors, although the children's swings were padlocked on Sundays - children were supposed to be indoors being taught about the Bible on Sundays, not playing outside.
