What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

7.1 this morning. Not too bad as in Saturdays I have to eat dinner later.

Did 13K steps and resistance exercises with 16 carbs yesterday but it definitely looks like my body also needs the 18hr fasts at the moment. Cannot do that on a Saturday as I teach non-stop between 9.45am and 6pm.

We are off to a rather chilly Blickling Hall today. We did think that perhaps it would be nicer to stay indoors in the warm but the dogs vetoed that idea.

I love lighthouses...
Maybe that could be my next project? Imaginary lighthouses....

Enjoy your road trip @dunelm
Have fun!!!

In areas like the Highlands, and the hilly parts of Wales mobile phones are worse than useless.

Forgot to check prices on veg.
4 vine tomatoes and two red peppers.
Used one of each. Pictured here are the unused produce with the prices for full amount.
Yes we have some available, but at a steep price. MrSlim is researching polytunnels and greenhouses...

According to Dr Lustig exercise is not always the answer in diabetes T2. It is what one eats as well and that is a complex answer and not just cutting carbs.

It is always a problem in this health business, What Guru should I follow? Answer no one in particular.

I know the food industry has seriously damaged our health since I was young when only a few were overweight.
And they have put out the lie that a sugar is a sugar and a calorie is a calorie!

And big pharma just love it and they get trillions just treating its effects.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and those who are cherishing their 3rd childhood.

Blood sugars this morning were 7.8, as in the other day me, me’s and myself know why.

We, all of me and Mrs J didn’t get home till 1:00am this morning, ah the joys of meeting up with friends and indulging in a home made curry.

Not sure about today, but a mid morning nap is likely and a post lunch nap is also likely. The joys of ageing are such that late nights are a challenge, best not accepted.

@dunelm I have fond memories of the Pitt Rivers museum, I spent many an hour in there as a school boy. The place was a treasure trove. Yes it really did have shrunken heads. To read the place has been wokeified horrifies me. Oxford a tourist trap with an enlightened view on cars. As Jeremy Clarkson said it’s cheaper to pay the parking fine than pay the car park charges.

Stay safe and warm all. I shall look into growing tomatoes in Mrs J’s flower pots….

Good morning all.

Still drifting in the Sea of Six
Ho hum

A tiring week

3 day week for me.

E-biking into work, the run over isn't all on pedal assist, but I am grateful for the extra power , the last bit is pure uphill.

So a great workout all round

Gym 2 nights, so really noticing lost muscle being rebuilt

Lost 5 pounds since starting back at work, so that's nice.

Very rusty in the office, having to ask some silly questions, but I'm picking it up quick enough.
I just think confidence is the real enemy.

But I had some success yesterday, challenging situation, undertaken successfully.

Nephews, when I was in wheelchair dubbed me R2D2...

Now my walking is just a little bit wonky, seems I've been promoted ....

So here's a pic of me on holiday, with sunscreen tips .

Gotta love a family that can help make ya laugh out loud at life <heart>

Now that sheep could be a close cousin of some of ours.

Hi to all from a sun drenched but chilly Little America. Interesting start to the day here. The pork from the aspirational farm shop butchery we will eat for lunch needed to be prepped. I looked at the label and espied an error. £42.50 is aspirational+. No 1 son came and agreed that was indeed the ticket price. We weighed the piece and concluded that was exceptionally aspirational even for that particular vendor. Took it back and was refunded the overcharge with profuse apologies. Quite the talking point as to how the error ocurred. Bob the butcher may need a chat on the morrow. @gennepher thanks for another sheep and cat creative. @dunelm the start of another splendid piece of art. Shame about the tooth issue but I hope both yourself and Mrs Miggins have wonderful road trips. Oddly, being born in Cambridge (I'm with Sinéad) I have only ever been to the outskirts of Oxford. @lindisfel and @Annb hub direct only landlines here from April so 2025 could be possible. @Krystyna23040 giving dogs a vote is an interesting idea. @jjraak busy week but wonderful that you have made so much progress - bravo. The Greek Passion Lamb yesterday was spiffing. Today is Sunday lunch with No 3 son and two grandchildren then football watching with my Chelsea supporting son. No latin name for today in the C of E. Have a week's worth of poems for Lent if so be you are minded to read them. I'd recommend the book but YMMV. BFN.

Angry sheep - watch out!
