What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentleman.

Blood sugars this morning were a straight 7.0 and a prime number.

Mrs J has instructed me to say thank you for the good wishes and kind comments, I would also like to add my thanks. Mrs J is now up and about, but still not back to normal. 5ft 0 1/2 inch and quick with her fists and feet.

Apparently today I am being taught to use the washing machine, diagrams and extremely simple written instructions will be required. I shall be hiding all sharp implements.

Now here’s the not good news I tested +ve this morning, not so good and I am now waiting for the NHS to contact me. I felt really rough this morning, but feel not to bad at the moment.

Going back to the washing machine, I wonder if I will fit into that tasty red number, I shall give the suspenders a miss.
Must check I have enough koffy.

Oh dear. Poor Alf.
Hugs x

After a wet start the sun is now shining here so hugs for the snow @Annb. @dunelm I'm glad TGIB recovered and increased her vocabulary. Thanks for the sketch - a nation imploring the heartless cad(s) to have a heart? Two days running I, who rail against people seeing meaning which isn't there in art and literature, have gone native. @gennepher wonderful Herdwick - thanks. @alf_Josiah mixed bag in that post. Good that Mrs J is up and about but not good that you are +ve. If you are given Paxlovid there is definitely Paxlovid mouth :arghh: and myself and Joe Biden had Paxlovid rebound - all clear after the 5 day course then +ve at about 7 days. @jjraak :woot: :woot: on roaming those sunny uplands. @RFSMarch good news on signing up that client and I hope the note works. Rather than the poohousery of the purveyors of fruitcakery, which @dunelm captures so well, intentionally or not, defining, besmirching, demeaning and running our nation into the ground I much prefer the spirit this encapsulates. As a plus it is quite a (an? stop it now) harmonious piece of warbling, innit. Lyrics here.

Thank you @ianpspurs. It seems like the dirty rotten scoundrels at the beeb are having a night of the long knives with classics and choirs look like they may be raided upon like Vikings rampaging on Holy Island. Yeh! What gives folk a good lift? Choirs of course. OK - slash and burn - how silly.

The shops are pretty empty today. This time, it isn't the ferry that's the problem but the snow on the mainland, stopping lorries from getting to Ullapool. On top of that, what was there was more expensive than it has been even recently - usually I spend about £60 twice a week on groceries but today I spent £65 on the reduced amount that was available today. No milk,no eggs, no butter, no fish, no veg, no kitchen rolls. All Neil came back with was some onions, some ice cream (for Em), some bacon, some soft cheese, some bread flour, some halloumi, a bottle of tomato ketchup (for Em) and some chicken thighs. I think that was quite an expensive shop.

I don't know what I should say about a man of your advanced years having a suspender fetish! ;):)

Hope you both get over COVID quickly.

Oh no @Annb. That is not good.

Marjorie went to Carlisle for her Tai Chi class today .
When she got within a few miles the bus started emitting clouds of black smoke and broke down. The people on the bus had to get on the grass verge because the bus was full of fumes.
It was very cold for her and most of the others were youngsters. They all got on the next bus from Wigton which was an half hour later and she got into the Tai Chi just before they locked the downstairs door.

We had some short sharp snow showers this pm that gave a white covering and an hard frost is due tonight.
It's about time it started to get warmer, with thes new hearing aids we are looking forward to hearing all the birds again this Spring.

Have a peaceful night folks,

Poor Marjorie
She needs a rest today.
A grass verge in freezing weather is not for someone her age.
I would most certainly need a rest the day after.
You molly coddle her a bit today, even if she says I'm fine. And make sure she is warm today.
