What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hi SlimLizzy
At Silloth on the Solway coast there is a house on the sea wall fully exposed to the South Westerly gales off the sea. I have been surprised how their greenhouse stands up to the gales but it is one built on the geodesic dome idea.
They are probably quite costly.

Enjoy that coffee @dunelm
And working on your sketch...

Clocks going forward tonight? Ah, didn't know. Means some of my clocks will be the right time now...I just have to remember which ones...

Fbg 6.8

On nighttime wildlife camera...
Badger & Fox & Cat
A determined badger (he gets the catfood)

Creative is a digitally painted #6 Lighthouse in Procreate.
I painted it when I woke up in the night, but when I looked at it this morning, it was a Leaning Tower of Pisa...
Fortunately, there is a feature in Snapseed, where you can pull the picture (whichever corner you need) slightly over in the other direction, and in this way I straightened the Lighthouse!

Why did I wake up in the night?
I was asleep and Midnight was asleep on top of me and I could feel he was agitated. I was half asleep and I put my hand on him to calm him down, but I could feel he was growling. So, I reach my other hand out to pull the light switch and staring at me was a cat I had never seen before. The cat was stealing Mdnight's cat biscuits by the door.

Who the heck told the stray cat population to come in my bungalow through the catflap, go through the kitchen, go through the hallway, go through the front room, go to the next hallway, and into my bedroom where they would find Midnight's dry cat biscuits? Who told them?

Oh, sort it out, I told Midnight.

And he did. He politely got off the bed, and followed the strange cat until it left out of the cat flap. And I followed Midnight to ensure that happened...hence I was wide awake by now...

The wood pigeons are clearing up the peanuts I put on the bird table for the blackbirds. The male and female blackbirds are clearing up the ground by the swing where the badger, KissyKissy, being an untidy eater, scatters lots of cat biscuits.

Maybe a little nap now and a nice hot cuppa tea.

Have your best kind of day.

I am about to put a steam mask on my eyes...

6.2 this morning. Really pleased with another 6. Blood sugars definitely going in right direction.

Today I am working without even a five minute break between 10.45am and 6pm.

Must give the person in charge of my diary a final written warning. Oh, hold on, I am in charge of my diary. When will I ever learn that I must schedule in breaks.

6.6 at 1 am. Went to bed just after 11 pm but couldn't stay there long - too sore for that, so up it was + pain killers and sit in the chair for the rest of the night. Still fairly stable at 8.10 am at 7.1. 3 cups of tea so far - that, I expect, is the reason for the slight rise.

Em will be here most of the day today, her Mum and big sister have gone to the mainland to buy a car for big sister, who passed her driving test a few weeks ago. They won't be getting home until tomorrow, Alistair is at work today, so Em needs to stay with me until he collects her this evening. Have to think of something to do - baking is out due to short supplies now that Neil is under the weather. I daresay my little Amazon tablet will be useful for taking up some of her time.

Yes, have a very stern word with the person in charge of your diary!!!

Morning all from you know where on the Feast of The Annunciation 2023. Yes folks, only 9 shopping months to Christmas. If you can find them it is probably time for some to put the sprouts on particularly in areas like this with no NHS dentists. There is a keen wind here on which I'm far from keen. My fbg at 5.24 am was 4.4 rising inexorably to a dizzy 5.00 by 7.24 am. @gennepher thanks for the latest lighthouse bedecked in vibrant colours. Well done Midnight. @dunelm thanks for sharing the latest development of your art. @SlimLizzy hug for the greenhouse issues. @Annb hug for the pain, winner for being a top, top grandmother. Em's blessed to have you in her life and her big sister is blessed to have a car. @Krystyna23040 yes you should have breaks but you wouldn't be the unique person you are if you changed. Today two sons are clearing MIL's kitchen so either 2, 3 or 4 grandchildren will be here which fits nicely with the feast day. @alf_Josiah is/will today be the day? @lindisfel I hope the antibiotics are starting to work. Everyone else, do whatever it is you do with love and consideration.

Here in Covid Central energy is sadly lacking, but Mrs J is being very supportive and so she should be, I caught covid off her grrrrrrr
Now it’s time to go and make a nuisance of myself elsewhere.
Have a great day all, remember grandchildren are a blessing arriving and departing oh the joys of age

Edit
I try to avoid politics and politicians of any creed.

Thank you Ian.
Enjoy your grandchildren today, and every day...

B G is still under control. I made pancakes for Em's breakfast b ut my method is very hit and miss - I just throw ingredients in to the mixing bowl and work it out as I go along. This mean that I have to make a tiny one as a tester. That did put my BG up from 5.5 to 8.9 for about 2 hours. Not good. But it is back under 6 now.

Sadly, Em's under the weather as well today. Nothing to worry about - just one of those things that happen to little girls as they grow into womanhood. When I was her age, and in the same situation, a doctor told my mother, "Don't worry, it'll be fine once she's had her first baby!" I was 10! Hot water bottle, blanket, big chair and the Amazon tablet and she's perking up a bit.

Cracking artwork

Good morning everyone from an hour into the future here in the dark and dangerous north. Don’t change the clocks - everything still looks the same, unless of course you have been offered a 10 grand a day bung by some fictitious Korean firm. Oh, hang on, that would make you an MP and Lead By Donkeys. We have had a cheese fest going on all week here and today is the last day. Street music, hot food but importantly loads of cheese and associated Paraphernalia in the community centre. Can’t be missed or even mist, weather depending. I think coats and brollys may be needed. Art bit, finishing off details ready for some colour and surround sound. Have a wonderful day. According to the Pastafarian Calendar it’s Make Up Your Own Holiday Day - yipee! I will celebrate with a cafetière of koffy.

I still feel out of sync with this clock change...

Cheese Fest sounds good @dunelm

Solid structure in that drawing...
