Lovely clear sky here and lots of bird songA glorious start to the week in North Cumbria with a sharp frost on the ground and winter in Spring is back for a couple of hours.

Frost here too...looks pretty, but sun has come out...sun is prettier and cheerful!A glorious start to the week in North Cumbria with a sharp frost on the ground and winter in Spring is back for a couple of hours.

The birds are singing much louder this Spring but it could be the hearing aids I got in Feb?Lovely clear sky here and lots of bird song
Fair play, that's a decent walking distance. The funicular was closed yesterday when we got into town - very high maintenance these old Victorian contraptions. Never mind. Walked home, so about 4 miles.
Could be the hearing aids, but I have had to turn down every setting on my cochlear sound processor this year, because those birds are the loudest they have ever been...The birds are singing much louder this Spring but it could be the hearing aids I got in Feb?

And lots of hugs too.Late start totoday. Up at 3.30 am - BG 10.1. That was a surprise. Back to sleep (in the chair) under the influence of pain killers and clawed my way bqack to wakefulness at 8.30. BG down to 8.4. No mofre changes in routine planned until this last change of basal dose time settles down.
Another Zoom "Move More" class at 10.30. Still suffering from the last one, but I'll do what I can. Breakfast first.
Hugs for the infection and vanishing test strips, and the dubious app...03.04
8.30am ish FBG 5.9
Will run out of test strips tomorrow. Really annoyed with myself that I didn't order any to pick up while I was in UK recently. Ordered on 25. 03 but all the usual tracking information is no longer available and I am referred to an app. Which once it was downloaded, installed and opened could only tell me my test strips had been shipped. Obviously they have not arrived at my daughter's yet and then she has to post them to me. So will be some days before I can test FBG or any other time. Meanwhile I am getting security alerts about this app that I didn't want in the first place.
Thoroughly fed up with this infection
Yet another Tom has turned up to visit Kiki. This one looks familiar. I am sure it's one who used to lurk nearby and attack Errant when he went outside. He has got fat in the intervening years. Not at all a desirable suitor to my eyes and Kiki was not impressed either. So after howling all night (according to MrSlim ) he left this morning shortly after Kiki fluffed up and hissed at him through the door.
Amazes me. Since the demise of Errant have seen only our neighbours cats Oreo and Cochon. One Tom appeared about a week before her op. All the others after. Only one that might have been a stray...Skinny, scared dark ginger.Hugs for the infection and vanishing test strips, and the dubious app...
Thumbs up for Kiki's obvious distaste in undesirable suitors.
A good job they didn't all appear awhile ago @SlimLizzy

Cat & Badger & Fox
The fox looks longingly at those cat biscuits...
Creative...yet another lighthouse...
My idea of putting a drop of peppermint oil in front of each cushion on the swing appears to be still deterring the badger, KissyKissy, from taking food or blankets off the swing. But the cats are still feeding off their dry biscuits. Most of the stray cats were coming in from the side of the swing to get at their cat biscuits anyway, and it hasn't affected the cats. Marmalade has just jumped up the front of the swing.he is not a coming in sideways cat!
Can I declare this a win? 3 nights on the trot.
I don't know what the fox is doing though, not until I see the current clips in a few days.
Me...last cup of tea from my flask...blue skies with white cotton wool clouds, sun, and a cold wind. I shall stay snuggled a bit longer in bed (with my living fur blanket) waiting for this day to warm up a tad!
Have a great day!

Yes, you are right about secrets hurting people. It was all about 'saving face' and not about being honest and truthful. Living a lie like that must also have damaged them.It has taken awhile to assimilate and process all this @Krystyna23040
And why was it so important to keep a secret? And have no intention of telling me my entire life? Did they not think about things like information I gave doctors about my health problems, but all that information was incorrect because that person was not my birth mother.
And it makes me cross because my daughter in Australia had asked me over the years about health problems of my mother for her own health records. But it was incorrect information.
It was if I don't matter and never did, but saving face was more important to 'them'.
Secrets hurt. They hurt people and they damage people.
She must have felt so good with that big weight off her shoulders. It certainly looked like a big weight off her shoulders when I was watching her on Skype @Krystyna23040

That's perfect, @Krystyna230406.8 this morning. Back in the 6s thank goodness. Hopefully will start edging towards the 5s. Will be lovely to get back onto the MacGarrett plains (not sure if I have spelt that correctly @jjraak )
Thank you so much!Awesome pic.
Really liked .
The world is a crazy place...Vitamin B12, dementia, iffy Yorkshire tea, peeping Tom badgers and wonky light houses, just what is the world coming too?
It’s enough to drive one or all six of me to look on the bright side of life,
Hand and footnote don’t mention idiot boxes and also a post office courier has just dropped off a box of testing strips.

Not too bad @jjraak - the funicular is still closed and there were people working on it today. Such a fine day that I walked down the cliff steps and had fish and chips. The walk back up the cliff steps was a bit like the last push on the Eiger. I had brought my car down to a place about half a mile away just in case but neverthless it was 3 miles.Fair play, that's a decent walking distance.
