From talking to my sons and hearing their children Millennials and Gen Alpha see her as Queen. Gen Alpha has no idea who Dianna was - C of E academy strongly pushing King and Queen line. No clue about the Catholic one in Winchester's line. Millennial parents have bigger worries but children excited and see it as important. Seems to mirror other major fault lines - not just quiche. Also, trans Atlantic crowd here in L.A (and in media) hugely amused by whole thing especially quiche and that pledge.Dissents likely to be increased by bringing Camilla out of the shadows, especially given the likelihood the media will over flow with comments
& they'll find every step is overshadowed by the memory of what Princess Di, did or would have done better.
If I actually had been sensible today and taken it easy it would have probably been the first time ever.Hug for the after effects of the tummy upset. Where is the yeah rite emoji when one needs such? Mental image of Mr K glancing at that and rolling his eyes while thinking these may look realistic but ......
Apart from knees feeling as though someone has hit them with an axe, absolutelyu fine. Don't think the knees has anything to do with the vaccine.Hope you are okay today x
Funny was for the quiche linksFrom talking to my sons and hearing their children Millennials and Gen Alpha see her as Queen. Lookin' good.Good morning everyone from another overcast and damp squib of a start here in the dark and dangerous north. Must be all that spinach being squeezed out throughout the land for Coronation quiches causing so much dampness. I wonder if there is a quiche line somewhere that divides the quiche eaters from the quiche dissenters? Will quiche dissenters escape to the new world I wonder and where exactly is such a place. No quiche, no King! Ah, the importance of quiche. I shall not be indulging in such frippery instead it will be a traditional Yorkshire afternoon tea, a high tea if you will, not a Picky Tea. Parkin, Fat Rascals, Curd Tarts and rhubarb fool with York ham, crab and cold leftover Yorkshire Puddings covered in jam. Blood testing kits will be running for cover. Art bit - that’s the details inked in. Hope your day is good to you. I have already consumed koffy.

Hugs for the egg sagadon't have time to do a painting or finish off the YouTube wildlife vid this morning. Because I need to go on an expedition for eggs. I need eggs to help control my diabetes. They are very important. And there were none in the shops for the last week, and I have none now. The last I bought last week and you were restricted to two half dozen eggs boxes per customer. And there were only a few boxes in the shop anyway. Morally I could not have gone back later and got another dozen eggs. I might have been depriving important supplies another customer needed

All the best for your egg search
Good luck with your egg searching expedition @gennepher
Morning all on a not quite dull, not quite bright start here on delayed black bin day. FBG on Weds was 4.9 lab verified so Swipey's 2.9 a tad orf. Abbott are sending a new one. @gennepher good luck with the egg hunt.
Never liked 'Horse Face'.Quite liked the cartoon saying.
"Not my quiche"..lol
Sure to be a joyous day, but can't help think him being willing to make changes, he missed one
As king, no issue, though I suspect Will & Kate to be more loved once Will is king.
Big C however from consort to queen, may plague them both

So not my quiches, quichette either...seems apt ..mmh
You are doing amazingly @jjraakAfternoon fellow EGR-ers*
(Extra Glucose Refuseniks )
Back at gym & it's going rather well.
Always spend an hour after rehab doing my own little cross training routine.
Last night one of the ladies joined me after class for a bit on the Nordic skier ( elliptical trainer ? )
General chitchat as we exercised
And while it's not ended my stamina issue, I was impressed I managed a PB of 15 mins nonstop, at a decent clip too (setting 5)
Think being distracted with conversation I just pushed through that comfort zone end into a little extra time...nice
Noticed too that my stint on rowing machine seems to be becoming easier.
1500m (3x500m) completed now in an average of sub 8 minutes.
And now I'm also finally managing to understand how to isolate certain muscles for exercise, ever days a school day.
A little oversharing maybe, but I noted last night I felt 'Good'
And it popped into my head that there's more undamaged with me, then there is damaged.
Hadn't felt that in a long time .
Enjoy the good in your day, however it goes.
Peace & love.
Thanks @Krystyna23040@gennepher great that you are back in the single figures
Stay safe all while panic buying supplies for tomorrows idiot box coronation marathon. Here in Tilehurst Towers Mrs J has booked her seat on the sofa.Hey @alf_Josiah .
Just to say 'silo' starts on Apple TV tonight .
(Yes, I seem to to have a little media mojo coming back )
And while you mentioned you'd like to read the book.
I wondered if you had read world war z
It seems that every time I go out in the car and/or sit in the wheelchair for any length of time, this happens to my knees. It must be something to do with keeping them in the same position for an extended period. Experience tells me it will last another couple of days and then I'll get back to normal. No worries. Thanks for your concern though.Gruesomely described
Made me grimace
Sounds awful
Hope that feeling improves dramatically for you asap
Alistair tells me that some folk were putting bunting up around the entrance to our local church (Free Church of Scotland) but today, when he went past, it had all been taken down again. No doubt due to disapproval by some Elder or other. Free Church and Free Presbyterian Church don't actually like to celebrate anything. Even though Charles is popular here, celebrating his ascension to the throne is not an event worth getting out the bunting for. I think Easter is the only thing that is celebrated. Deaths and burials are very popular here. Easter, of course, has the added bonus of the Resurrection so, worthy of a little joy. I think I may be a bit biassed.Never liked 'Horse Face'.
Still don't.
She can never redeem herself in my eyes...
I know it took two to tango...
But Charles is legitimately King, and his moment has been a long time coming.
There is nothing going on round here. No bunting, nothing. One charity shop made an impressive display in their window. And one old lady was impressively tastefully dressed in red, white, and blue (not me). And what I found even sadder was someone/s had spent hours and weeks knitting a whole pile of coronation bunting and hung it round the railings and lamp posts where the town Christmas tree normally is. They must have used 100% wool because it had shrunk to odd shapes in the rain...
The sooner William and Katherine come to the throne...I think will be better...
You may remember this from the Advent poems - seems to reflect your area. Knox would approve. This is what we heathens down here are doing. Cromwell would not be amused. Local lad for me - I taught lessons in his old home.
