Very interesting. However, the thirst safety valve doesn't operate for me most of the time and I do end up dehydrated and collapsing before I realise that I have forgotten to drink anything much for a few days. I do also retain fluid in my legs and the lower part of my body for which I take diuretic pills. Not that drinking more, or less, or taking the pills or not, makes any difference to the swollen legs and feet. Also drinking less seems to encourage even higher BG levels (no real evidence for that - just the way it seems to me). There is, of course, fluid in food but not much in 2 small meals a day.Oh dear, another dietician hanging onto that water drinking myth that probably stems from a decree from the U.S. Food and Nutrition Board issued back in the 1940s. It suggested that everyone drink 2.5 liters (84.5 ounces) per day — so not far off from today's standard. But even back then, that same recommendation clarified that a majority of that water comes, not from a glass, but from "prepared foods." It’s pretty arbitrary but anyhow, This article offers a plain explanation.

Stay safe all while having a great day, 7th covid jab for me later.
Great little ruin, like that Truck Driver's career now...Good morning everyone on a day of free entertainment on the beach here in the dark and dangerous north. A truck driver decided to park up on the beach for a kip. Makes a change from numpty car drivers; “I’ve got a 4WD so it’s not a problem” - well good luck with that then on the sinking sands. Lucky for him/her the tide doesn’t hit that bit. According to the words on the side of his vehicle, he is delivering excellence! Wonder how much the recovery will cost and how it will be achieved. Car in for a service and MOT this morning. Art bit - detailing completed. Have a wonderful day if you can. I need koffy and then will ponder upon when to put the bins out for tomorrow.

"I'll be with you in Apple blossom time..." reminiscent of my youth in Kent. Thank you for that. Enjoying this floral period of your work.Fbg 8.6
I had some ginger biscuits in the night. Hence this rise. I have been supporting my friend, particularly in the night, who went back to the Netherlands to be with her dying mother. My friend was telling me of the angels and light beings her mother spoke of in the room. But my friend could see nothing despite her mother pointing them out. I could see it all in my mind as my friend was describing it all. Her mother passed away peacefully in the night. I painted an Angel and sent it to her.
Wildlife nighttime cameras...
Cats & Fox & Badger
The hungry wet fox.
Last night I managed to fall back asleep after talking with my friend, Midnight was outside I presume, and I was woken up by a cat licking my hand. I turned on the light, but it was a tortoiseshell I call Merry. She was bedraggled, wet, shivering. She belongs to a neighbour over the road who chucked both his cats outside permanently it seems, once they got a dog. I dried her off. Gave her food and a blanket, and went back to sleep. Then in the very early hours I got the final message from my friend, and that was when I painted the Angel for her. I managed to get back to sleep, but a cat jumped on my bed. I reached out to stroke it, thinking it was Midnight, but it was the wrong shape. I turned on the light. It was Amy, but she wanted me to follow her. I followed her to the kitchen, where there was no cat food again. Something had managed to take all the biscuits together with the foil tray. I have ordered new trail cameras for the kitchen but they have not come yet. I sorted out Amy with some food.
Went back to sleep again. I felt a cat on me again. Reached out in my half sleep to stroke it. It was definitely Midnight shaped, so I fell back asleep for another couple of hours, then Midnight woke me up. It is daylight by now. He wanted me outside. So, I went. No foil trays of cat biscuits there either, the trays had gone with the cat biscuits for the nighttime stray cats. The regular strays were starving, hanging about in the bushes. Sorted them, came back to bed with a new hot flask of tea.
I am ready for a night's sleep, and the daytime has only just begun...
I cannot go to back sleep. I am expecting some medical supplies today. And a special delivery letter with something expensive inside that should have arrived by 1pm yesterday is still wandering around this country according to tracking and thus looks doubtful about being delivered even for today.
I need some Kip, I have no choice in this matter, my eyes are pulling me under...
Have your best day...
Oh, Creative is apple blossom done between Procreate and Snapseed...I did that in the early hours too trying to fall back asleep...
ZZZzzzzzz.......

I wasn't aware, but that's a massive number. We have now seen the demise of Nightingales in Lincolnshire with their disappearance from Whisby nature reserve at Lincoln this year. They have been the most northerly Nightingales for some years. They have now disappeared from Cambridgeshire but still should be present in Norfolk and Suffolk in very small numbers.
Their numbers like most birds, particularly song birds, have gone down by 80% to 90% since I was a lad.

Sad news for bird lovers and I guess for us all although I can't claim to know how that impacts the ecosystem. Reading your post prompted me to google reasons for their disappearance - some interesting reasons suggested. We have now seen the demise of Nightingales in Lincolnshire with their disappearance from Whisby nature reserve at Lincoln this year.
