Really good that you have a hawk watching you as it is so easy to overdo the exercise. All the time I have a 'hawk' watching me telling me not to do too much.So I can resist temptation.
Me too @gennepherMy head would be defying age and gravity @lindisfel , and leapfrogging over the stiles, gates, and boundary hurdles to reach those ponds and wildlife area...but my body would be left far behind, leaning against the first hurdle...sigh...
It is that 'pushing' yourself that keeps you going @Krystyna23040I really do think that I must do that asap. About 22 years ago, on a training session, we were asked how many classes and 1:1s we ran each week.
I did wonder if I should lie about how many I did, but I am hopeless at lying so told the truth. The teacher was horrified and she said that she guaranteed that I would be burnt out within 4 years if I didn't cut down. Not happened yet, but I must be careful and not take on.more work than is sensible.
A Dragon X Grim Reaper cross you have real problems AlfSo do me, me’s and myself thank you.
@gennepher - that is exactly the advice I give to my clients. It is so important to listen to our bodies. This week I definitely pushed too far and I have been severely reprimanded by my body.It is that 'pushing' yourself that keeps you going @Krystyna23040
But it is a fine line to when you take on too much.
So, you just need to be alert and listen to your body and act on it when you are going to take on that bit too much.

Keep well and of good humour Alf.Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who missed their passage on the good ship lollipop due rail disruption.
Blood sugars this morning were 4.8, ho hum what a pain in the posterior.
I’m sorry to report that me, me’s and myself are being deprived of access to the internet for the next week or so. Please look on the positive, one less abusive post to read.
Stay safe all.

After a walk on Saturday my body just wouldn't go at all on Sunday and I had a job walking back up the slope to the house after walking into the hamlet. Its disappointing when the body won't go.Me too @gennepher
I think we here must all be in a similar situation. Our bodies are not doing what we would wish them to do any more. It's frustrating For me, I keep wondering if I should just give in, but I know I won't. Maybe giving in to short term benefit (taking the easier options) has led me to where I am and I keep warning my younger folk not to do what I did, so I can't very well give in now. After a walk on Saturday my body just wouldn't go at all on Sunday and I had a job walking back up the slope to the house after walking into the hamlet. Thank you for your post @gennepher. You are so right - we cannot do now what we could in our 20s. I also have the fault that I criticise myself that I am being lazy if I factor in 'me time ' but I also - just like you - know that I get more done if I do factor in rest time.Extra hugs @Krystyna23040
We can't push ourselves with the same intensity as we did when we were 20 years old. Our bodies, at the age we are now, don't quite have the same bouncability back.
I have a few upcoming things the next fortnight which I need/have to be ready for. I also pushed myself the last couple of days, and also today. I am paying for it now.
I need to reassess how to get through the next fortnight in the best possible way, and factor in the rest/naps I need.
I have found from past experience that I can get far more done, the more me time I factor in for myself. I need to be strict in that, just as you need to do.
I do have this fault where I self criticise that I am lazy. I know I am not, I don't need anyone telling me I am not lazy. And you do not want to suffer from the burn-out you mentioned earlier. I have a friend who suffered from burn-out. She teaches Reiki, and she used Reiki healing on herself to push and push beyond her limits to achieve everything she wanted. The obvious happened. Total burnout, but that was not the worst, so much else went wrong in her life as well at the same time. It took her years to recover.
So be mindful, you want to keep the best health you possibly can
More gentle hugs x
I always thought those ruins in the valley at Rievaulx were really spectacular, it must have been something special before Henry took a liking to it.Good morning everyone on what might be a smashing day should I decide so. I have already hung washing on the line @ianpspurs @gennepher - this could be habit forming and then before I know it, become a tradition. And we all know how dangerous those things are. There could even be a flag involved and arguments like which way up do you hang a piece of Piet Mondrian art. I must do something about it by ignoring that particular white good if I know what’s good for me and to prevent a rift in the force. Art bit - colour added. Hope your day is kind to you. Best make some more koffy.

Good advice - but when will May actually arrive? The month, not anyone with that name - yew!Morning all from a sunny but some way off Summer in L.A. Swipey felt I should wear 4.7 today even after rainbow birthday cake - 7 gms which I absolutely did weigh at the table. Granddaughter was satisfied I had eaten some but she was busy admiring her Princess dress and making tiger noises as she was wearing tiger face paint. We have her cousin today (too poorly for school) who has been 4 for almost a year so is full of advice on that topic. @lindisfel hug for yesterday but a timely warning and I'm guessing a few well aimed words from Marjorie are better than the probable alternative. @gennepher sound advice on pacing oneself. @dunelm thanks for sharing the wonderful art. As always adding colour transforms an already splendid offering. Have a good day but don't go casting clouts just yet.
Ah now there’s a thought and there is quite a bit of it still standing there with nothing particular to do.I was always thought those ruins in the valley at Rievaulx were really spectacular, it must have been something special before Henry took a liking to it.
