What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks both Gennepher and Ian for reminding me. I'd forgotten to order brushes for Em's birthday present (a mixed lot of art supplies) so I've just ordered some hake brushes and a selection of other painting brushes to complete the set. She's recently discovered acrylic washes and enjoys the effects she can create. So far, she refuses to put anything more detailed onto the wash - just enjoys the effects she can create. The next step will come in good time.
 
Went the footie had a nice few hours, met some old friends and colleagues.
Never stopped raining!
Anyone want my cold?, thinking of selling it on ebay! Bet you I can't give it away!
Still coughing, still runny nose, not right! Heating on! In July!
The cricket is back on, with a cuppa, then tea to be cooked, pork chops for me, gotta love 'em!

I have quite a lot of paintings which are just colour effects, and no drawing on them @Annb
 
Good morning everyone on an overcast but dry start here, somewhere south of Watford Gap. A pretty lazy day yesterday but this morning I shall be journeying up to Birmingham to see the grandchildren prior to their departure on another exciting camping trip. Devon I think it is this time. I need to put in repeat prescriptions first though while I’m thinking about it. They won’t be ‘approved’ until tomorrow and then it’s probably Friday before they will be available at the point of delivery in the pharmacy. Don’t you just love all this time saving modernisation? Art bit, another version of yesterdays, painted a few weeks ago. Hope you all have a pleasant valley Sunday. I shall drink koffy and contemplate having a shower.


 
Spare a thought for all those holidaying in Cumbria, we have a second day of continuous rain.
The grass is growing fast and so are the trees and hedges. The temperature is unlikely to break above 15 deg C today. The heating will need putting on whilst sitting this am.

Mother used to reckon in Lincoln that if there was rain before seven it would be fine before eleven.
Which was much the case in the East Midlands, not so in Cumbria when it can rain for days on end.

Morning all from where it is dry and allegedly likely to stay that way with a top temperature of 22C. Not especially summery but pretty good compared to some parts of UK and certainly much safer than Rhodes or other places with up to 50+C. @dunelm thank you for sharing another stupendous piece of art. Have a safe journey to Birmingham then a magical time with those grandchildren. @Krystyna23040 if this weather extends to your part of EA it should be ideal for a walk then coffee and doggie ice cream - are sausage rolls suspended in "summer?" We explored a recently opened quite woke retail and leisure park near Ely (#3 son had wedding in the Old Hall - wonderful view of the Real Fens ™ and Cathedral) with a relocated and very aspirational butcher yesterday. - more than one type of Waygu is definitely aspirational imho. Today we have retired dairy rib of beef for lunch - very trendy and woke apparently. JKP talked me down from the Japanese Waygu steak - for now. I did buy her two dresses - well, Barclays missing Ts and Cs letter did - though (still plenty headroom for the steak). The purpose of the trip was to scope out the place for summer hols trips when grandchildren minding and to see what the Christmas event may be like. Looks very promising and the tea/coffee is good so we will certainly return. Christmas? Are your sprouts not on yet?

Our Group Practice asks for 7 days' notice for prescriptions but usually the local pharmacy has them in 2 days. The problem our pharmacy has is that, being a small, independent local b usiness, they come far down the list of priorities with suppliers so often can't get the medicines needed.
 
 
Myself, JKP and MIL use Lloyds online who are very good at notifying us in advance what needs ordering at least up to now. Local pharmacy leaves something to be desired. Pharmacy in the practice won't dispense to those who live in the town but they will give an emergency script.
 
Some of the bigger chains can't get the meds either. Our problem is that the surgery pharmacist lives in Lancashire and it is a different pharmacist each time you go and you can't get your meds even if they are waiting for you on a shelf if he/she not there.
Some weeks we can have more than one day without a pharmacist and you can't even get over the counter drugs.

6.9, being stubborn, I hope with the cold!

My pharmacy is next to the surgery, the wife is on blister pack, delivered to our house every four weeks, but the system is working find but the likelihood of issues with availability, since brexit, changing brands, changing pharmacy companies, cheaper versions. And it was a major health concerns when covid hit, that we did not have enough of vital meds.

And it won't get better with changing rules concerning imports and availability, because we voted for a system were we have introduced self imposed restrictions and tariffs for trade! Never mind the increasing red tape and paperwork!

As @lindisfel has already posted, it has barely stopped throwing it down. It is the miserable of miserables out there. Constant rain, as you will see if you have the golf or cricket on! Typical North West summers day!

Have a damp sunday! Splishing, sploshing, splushing, splyshing, sprinkling water out of the grey, grey, misty sky!

Busy today, having a sleep now...just woke up from it.
No time to do the video or painting until now.
Tomorrow has to be better.

Creative is ink painting with FW Acrylic inks and hake brush and water.
Put in Snapseed to write my name and date...

Ready for another nap...but I might have a cuppa first...

 
Thank you for sharing the video and creative. The creative is amazing and has a Narnian feel to me.

We were both really tired so had a lovely relaxing day at home. We met up with fellow dog walkers during a leisurely walk around the park and then went home for coffee in the conservatory.

Sausage rolls definitely not suspended in the summer.
