What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hopefully mate, he is right and I don't think too much stenting is good anyway! What is stenting? I've always used staples for my papers and documentation!

Reminiscing, as my body has said enough, obviously with the hours spent since climbing out of pit with Dawn arriving. Who is Dawn? Why are there so many things with female names?

My taurine capsules arrived from Amazon today. I only bought a small pack to see if I could tolerate them. Neil says he was thinking of getting some himself so we can both trial them. Apparently DIL drinks quite a lot of sugar free Red Bull, so she shouldn't need any supplements.

Em came in from school and was showing me how she draws hands - makes quite a good job of a difficult task, in my opinion. She has decided that, if she is to be any good as an artist, she will have to study anatomy. Sounds like a plan to me.
 
The wind got up at 1600 and it was quite bearable sitting outside on the garden seat at front of the house in the shade.

It's amazing how fast the nights are pulling in, perhaps it will be very cold for September soon.

I see the last snow patch at the back of Braeriach in the Cairngorms recently melted away again, most of the melting in the last 300 years has been in the last 10 years...it was reckoned to be the only permanent snow in the United Kingdom, but not so now, there isn't any.

Went to bed at midnight. Libre woke me at 12.30 am with a reading of 3.5. Got up and had a fruit pastille to bring BG up to a non alarming level. It woke me again at 2.30 with a 3.4 reading. Had another fruit pastille and went back to sleep. Woke at 4.30 with legs and hips complaining so I got up, took a reading (7.4), took painkillers and dozed off and on in the big chair. Currently 8.9.

Took one of the Taurin capsules before bed last night to see if I would react to anything in it. I didn't and I doubt if just one of the pills would have caused my BG to drop so I guess I'll give it a few more days and try again to see if it does, after all, have an immediate effect on BG.

Trying very hard to stay awake now - not entirely successfully. Keep falling asleep over the keyb oard and ending up with a long line of \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ to delete. Back to the chair, I think.
 
A very rare bird has taken up residence on @dunelm's home range. A Brown Booby from way down south.

Misty this morning and this incredible weather will soon be breaking down with storms this weekend.

Good morning everyone on a spiffing start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.8 on the scales of Oris which I put down to the splendour that is the dearth of wifi recently. A fun packed week daaan saaaf where people argue about the order of jam and clotted cream and call each other ‘my lovely’. Meanwhile, oop north, the grass needs cutting but there is a farmers market to go to first, it being the second Saturday of the month according to calendar manufacturers and people who go to work. You can get expensive and possibly high carb sausages and point to things, saying, “how much!” Thanks for the heads up with the Brown Booby @lindisfel - can’t let Mrs Miggins know, she’ll say it’s me! Art bit, started this morning. Hope you all have a splendid day, with much movement and minimum pain. I shall drink koffy and finish hanging holiday washing on the line.

Good morning one and all from an already warm enough for some L.A. on a day where we are promised *30°C+ here. Thoughts and prayers with the people of Morocco and the families of Mike Yarwood and Mangosuthu Buthelezi. @dunelm good to know you enjoyed your trip. Thanks for sharing the latest sketch and enjoy the farmers market. Stop worrying about the price - that mattress must be very lumpy and heavy by now with all those farthings and other assorted coins. Mine is far less lumpy after yesterday's new tyres for the Venerable RR. @lindisfel good news that you could sit out and enjoy the fine weather yesterday. Could you watch the proms on iPlayer (headphones essential), record/sky+ it or watch elsewhere? @Krystyna23040 such a busy lady but I'm pleased for you that you found time to stop and chat. Hopefully Mr K, myself and others will end the day with a good England performance and result in RWC 2023. @Annb hugs for the bg ups and downs and the pain.I hope the taurine will help - my version came yesterday, they are the size of "hoss pills." Family barbeque today minus the Winchester branch so not quite this - hot tub/nannies paddling pool will work overtime. I know I'm blessed to have family near and the wherewithal to host such special times. I'm not humblebragging just looking forward to a time when we all enjoy sitting every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree. Cooler here today - low cloud hanging over the fields and the bay. Not quite at ground level but a few feet above the ground (maybe 40 or 50 feet). Enough to cool the air temperature anyway. It must be clearing because I can see the cloud side on which means there has to be a clear space above us. DIL and Em gave me a present of a new jumper yesterday which I have on right now. It's just the right weight for the temperature. Looks a bit odd on me, but who's looking? It was a kind thought.
