What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Bright and colourful artwork. That'll cheer the place up on these miserable autumn days. Slightly disconcerting eye watching from the middle though. Glad the woodworking project is coming to an end. Successful I hope?

Hugs for all the stress @SlimLizzy
Hoping that your zoom call is productive for you.

Some extra hugs for you and the Duchess @lindisfel

Tell Mrs J it is beautifully brilliant. I love it @alf_Josiah

You have a good day on the keyboard Alf!

Fbg 6.5

Blowing a gale here.
Friend cancelled our meeting in England today. Her hubby not well.

So what do I do now?
If I get a cancelled day, I do not catch up on mundane stuff that day.
So, what exciting stuff can I do?

Midnight is pleased I am not rushing out.
But he is not pleased that Jade has taken his precious prized spot on the swing. He usually sleeps on it in the daytime.
Midnight spent most of the night asleep on me last night, and Jade now has his spot on the swing this morning.

I had already breakfasted early.
So having a second cuppa tea now.

Nighttime wildlife cameras
Fox and Pa Badger & son watched by Cat Midnight
Fox looks at me through my bedroom glass door at the end of the video, and although you can't see me, I look at him...
60secs

Now his son is a teenager, Pa Badger often takes his son out with him. When he was a baby cub he was forever scolding and cuffing him...

Creative.
Well, I was painting in the garage yesterday with a few ideas, and then I thought, hang on that is an unintentional painting.
So I took a photo. Several actually. Managed to extract the object after many failed attempts from its background, and place it on a black background. Can you guess what it is?

It is my black Chinese ink that I poured into a china teacup so I could dip my old credit card in to create drawings of trees etc.

I think it is amazing, and I am highly delighted with it!!!

I took several photos from different angles, and I have ideas of making a digital painting out of it...

Have your best day....

What adventures await me today?

Serendipity is the word. Brilliant. Looks like a little coppice in a cup.

Enjoy your free day - whatever you decide to do with it.

Smashing piece of artwork by Mrs J and well done to perceiver

Smashing. Very Japanese asthetics - sort of inverse ensō.

Good morning everyone from a very blustery start here in the dark and dangerous north. 6.5 his morning and a positive Covid test - boo hoo! So that is probably why I have been up most of the night. Art bit - something started yesterday. Hope your day is kind to you. I will try for another koffy.

Hug for contracting COVID. Hopefully it will be mild and short lived. Thank you for sharing the art.

6.8 today.

We are in the process of returning everything back to the kitchen and pantry that had been removed to the dining room in order for new flooring to be laid the oven is already back and reconnected to the gas supply the washing machine is now back in it's proper place the fridge, freezer and tumble dryer will be moved back later today hopefully.

I remember when stationed at RAF Cosford the medical officer was actually a civilian doctor he was Belgian and addicted to Gauloises cigarettes and was in the habit of taking a cigarette out of the pack breaking off the filter and sparking it up while examining you for what ailed you which he did one day when I reported sick with a bad chest infection you can imagine the effect that had I came out feeling ten times worse than when I went in, also he was convinced that the guy who was running the airmen's mess being of German extraction was a spy even though this was in the sixties this lead to some very entertaining confrontations between them.

Glad to know your kitchen is getting back into shape after all the disruption. Any more renovations planned?

I'm only checking BG a couple of times a week now. Very pleased today with fasting BG 5.7 as last night my main meal was grilled pork chop with broccoli spears, cauliflower and a few runner beans, but preceded by 3 raspberries, 1 alpine strawberry, 2 walnuts and six unripe hazelnuts, plus apres-diner of one glorious glass of red wine. Still very low carb but as an experiment, successful.

6.4 today on a very windy, deluge of constant stream of falling water into my garden mixing with foliage and litter from the main road and bin emptying this morning! Chores done, shopping ordered.

Have nothing new to part,
So I will depart,
Into my space,
I know my place.

My best wishes to you all as always!
Have a windorious, wonderful wodins day!

Hope this COVID is mild for you @dunelm and you test negative asap.
It apparently has infected a lot of people in Cumbria.
Best wishes
Derek

Am intrigued to hear what exciting activity you did today @gennepher
