What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Central Heating on, that will not do @dunelm
You need one of those fur fabric ponchos with a hood, and waddle all day like you are covered with a blanket...

Great sketch...

Good happy national bin day Morening posters and painters. To whom skipping the light fandango while turning cartwheels across the floor is a distant memory.

Blood sugars this morning were firstly 7.2 and secondly 7.7 , I shall go with 7.7 on the premise that bigger is better. Really? Me, me’s and myself don’t think so.

Yesterday’s encounter with the religious zealot is as follows, the same one as last week. He moved slightly into my path and tried to hand me a leaflet and was pleased when I wished him a friendly good afternoon and was going to say something when I asked him if he would like to go forth and multiply then me, me’s and myself carried on walking. He will learn…..eventually I hope.

Here in Tilehurst Towers Mrs J is issuing ultimatums, I think it may be time for me retreat to my shed / workshop. It might also be prudent for me, me’s and myself to let her do the shopping without my very helpful suggestions.

Now it is time to continue with my day.
Best wishes to all, stay safe, smile and look to the positive in life and if you are of a religious leaning, as that well known now sadly departed comedian Dave Allen used to say “ May your god go with you “

@gennepher and @dunelm
I really do enjoy your artwork, keep up the good work.
It is also pleasing to see fellow greaser @jjraak is reading posts, I hope your recovery is continuing along bearable lines.
Mrs J has left Tilehurst Towers to do the shopping, so it is safe for me to linger a little longer, but instructions have been left and unfortunately cannot be ignored.
Now I really must go.

Happy birthday to your granddaughter Dunelm.
Must get expensive when their 19!

Sad about your 1930's table @Annb

People have different things they value, one has to make it clear it's on loan and one hadn't gifted it. Somebody gave our youngest a tele, it was rubbish and I took it to the tip after looking it over. it must have poisoned his mother with burning plastic fumes, they were not happy I had tipped it. I think we all have our point of view

Smashing piece of art despite the elusiveness of what you are visualising. Naughty badgers. There are quiet a few wooden ones in nearby Brotton village which was mentioned in the Domesday Book as Broctune.

It would be good to see @jjraak posting again he really does consider what he has to say and how much his input is missed by us all

Thank you @ianpspurs. Leg of lamb - I like it boned out, laid flat and slow roasted with spices, Moroccan style.

Thanks very much Alf

@gennepher hug for the badger nuisance. Winner for sharing the amazing art. @dunelm I can see how a guy that enjoys spice may go for the Moroccan flavour but however one flavours it surely the muscle used for walking all day is gonna be tough as Old Harry - and don't call me Shirley. @lindisfel yes, @jjraak is missed as is @Muddy Cyclist but the heart (and mind) has its reasons. Here are some recipes people may or may not find useful. Enjoy them if you use them - possibly while you can as Trump II, The Revenge, may well happen and the UK may/will be staring down the barrel of Kemi or Suella in 5/6 years time. What's going on now is Succession. We and our loved ones are collateral damage in a dialogue twixt ambitious people and the wilder fringes of the Tory membership. If they gave us Johnson and Truss anything is possible

You got let off lightly then!
I face the sea and the wind comes hurtling off the sea to my bungalow,,.
I have no idea why, all my lot are saying the same, what storm?
Usually along the back footie field, the wind rips through between the river and the nearby hill especially from the west/ South west. And some neighbours fence always bears the brunt and blown down.
As I said it was needs her the other day!
Maybe Snowdonia did it's job by protecting us!

Thank you @lindisfel - a contribution towards driving lessons is the way it’s going
In the form of the week long course and test seems to be the going rate so you have escaped lightly - for now. The visit to tell you she has passed her test may be the tricky negotiation especially if she suspects a fund for the car - the new racing bike for passing 11+ - has been laid since birth. Painful memories of hassle from both sides of the negotiations involved there.

Thank you Ian

I have had an eighteenth birthday Monday, grandchild 3 have two more next week, numbers 5 & 8.
Another number one Halloween. And three of the other grandkids in December, two on Christmas!
Big family means lost of birthdays!

6.8 pre counselling!
Another quiet but cold day. Doing my exercises for my back and sciatica earlier, it was only 6 degrees!
I do fear along with @lindisfel , that too many people are really gonna suffer with heating! My agnostic prayer mat is on the side of a warm winter, but if we get a horrible had winter, I can see major issues!
They just don't understand or don't care!

Will be back later!

My best wishes to you all as always.

That is really sad @SlimLizzy
