What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks Ian.

RishGPT's claims that there is a war on motorists seems to be at odds with observable data as well as the fact the policy in Wales is exactly the same as Conservative controlled Cornwall.

That would also appear to be the case regarding UK being on course to achieve net zero - no data can be found to support this hence none has been provided. This from a man who's word cloud is brutal. If he just said we, the Tories, are a shambles after austerity, Brexit and our last 2 leaders but I'm going to help my core supporters out I'd at least respect that.

Somebody was saying it was the same policy initially for Conservatives in Wales, labour just adopted it.

They have linked softening up to motorists and getting kids killed in built up areas is going to give them more votes after the vote for poisonous fumes in the London bye election. At the moment their out Blairing, Blair.

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and those who might remember Sunday night at the London Palladium.

Blood sugars this morning were 6.4

Tilehurst Towers has been renamed Bedlam central, yep the grandchildren are still in residence and they have discovered my hiding place in my shed / workshop. It’s amazing how nature has determined that young people have children while they have the energy.
I would go for an afternoon nap, but……….

Stay safe all and if I survive be back sometime tomorrow.

@ianpspurs Thank you for asking after them they seem to have gotten over the incident now .
Hi John,
You mentioned earlier the unpleasant situation in Liverpool when you were young. Helen was saying it was the two bishops, Warlock and the cricketer, I think it was Shepherd (Ian will put me right) who were friends who largely brought that nonsense to a better conclusion.
I never realised it got into the football teams like in Glasgow.

I now live in Birkenhead, but was dragged up in Wallasey!
My football bias has always been towards the whites of Rovers. However, because of the low cost of going to footie in my teens and Rovers playing Friday nights, I would go and watch particularly the blues and from peer pressure to the reds!
I fulfilled my boyhood dream to be a part of Rovers staff, and consequently going to Wembley (three seasons running) and being out on the pitch for the warm up. Seeing Wembley behind the scenes is incredible and wondrous.
I have some great memories of following my team and have met some incredible and famous people, (not the same), and become known by the supporters and staff. The number of football stadia is somewhere around 150, ish, and there is a few, in the premier that I haven't been to. Emirates, spurs new edifice to name two.

It is so good to see that you have found your dietary balance and the hypoglycaemia has gone. The realisation that you don't need a lot of food to be healthy goes so much against the pandering of Mrs L and my mother, both of them in their prime would help me to achieve the over eating bit that could potentially have been the precursor to my health issues.
As a youngster, playing sport all the time, and then on my feet all day (and on nights) would help keep my weight down. But inevitably, something had to give.

I wonder if the art school was Bluecoats, in the city? Took exams there!

Three days in just decorations for the season!
two prior days for cleaning and preperation.
all under the negative shaking head of Mrs L.
but it's always been about the kids!
I mean what is it all about anyway except an excuse to take time off work and party???
It is about religion, but the meaning of it has been lost especially in the marketplace and to get you to spend more than you have?

6.6 yesterday.
6.4 this morning.
Spent yesterday with family and had a nice day out!
I say nice but the anxiety had me on tenterhooks as Mrs L was indoors having a restful day after Friday.
It is a horrible feeling / sensation to be away from the house and of course her BIL came and watched the box at ours. But it was still there and all for nothing. Nowt happened! Of course!
And as soon as we approached the house, it went away and after a cuppa and a bite, it went away completely!

Until I found out my team got a hammering! Then my swearing was not pleasant! I should know better!

My best wishes to you all!

Have a super Ryder cup Sunday!

There was local tragedy and chaos in the county and peninsula on Friday!
The motorway was closed until yesterday, which was over 24 hours, and with so much else going on the gridlock was felt up until yesterday evening.
A teenager was killed and other teens had to be ferried to four local local hospitals including Alder Hey children's hospital, for those with critical injuries. Three still being in hospital. Over forty children were involved in the accident, as the bus/coach hit the central reservation. The coach driver was believed to have had health issues whilst driving and was found to be dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
I just can't think what the kids are going through that were on the coach, nor the families and everyone that has been affected.
Shocking, horrible, so much anguish and heart breaking!

So sad for the bereaved families and those worrying over injured children. Hope and pray that all, including the one who might have life changing injuries, recover well both physically and mentally.

Oh for the vicissitudes of following a team, it must be like missing out on a rare bird!

Marjorie feels like that following Manchester United ATM and young Dylan, Arsenal but their doing better. I purport to support Newcastle.

I remember this vaguely!
There has always been the differing religious spats in the city as such, but the supporters of both the clubs, has never in my experience been along those lines!
With a large Irish presence for a few centuries, the usual Catholic and Protestant differences are there and some times go beyond norm! But it is not as bad as in Glasgow!
I believe that paddys day and billys day are another excuse for a drink or two, more than what they are supposed to be about!
And being the city that it is, the diversity of all the religious beliefs, making it all seem unnecessary!
People around here are more worried about feeding and heating themselves. About the healthcare and the community.

I forgot to include the hospital staff coming off the picket lines to care for the injured!

Correct on Lord David Sheppard.

Both Cathedrals are impressive in their own way but I think Paddy's Wigwam has the edge.

If I walk about 100 yards from my front garden, I can look across and see them both!
And regardless of how and when, the old red edifice, is aesthetically and architectural far superior from across the river!
But I do get the modernity of the wigwam, which is huge inside, like the tardis! Ha!
