Thanks Ian.Good morning all from a mild start to Sunday in what I am pretty sure must be the least exotic area of the Exotic East. If one uses the area covered by BBC Look East news greater London and the East Midlands sneak in so I may be doing it an injustice. @gennepher thanks for sharing the creative. So much of the Suffolk part of this area looks and feels to me exactly like that creative except Newmarket which is Cambs really (see attached). Ignore the calendar, no need for heating yet - doors open, t-shirt-n-shorts weather here at least. @JohnEGreen I hope that your bg goes down and that Judith and Melanie aren't too shaken up or pained by the highly unpleasant man's appalling driving and behaviour. @dogslife good to hear from you. @dunelm thanks for sharing the creative. @Annb take it easy with the Autumn cleaning, enjoy the baking then rest up for Stir Up Sunday - Nov 26th this year. Duck for lunch/main meal this very day since hereabouts the whereabouts of geese to buy is a mystery until later in the year. Y'all have a good day now.
RishGPT's claims that there is a war on motorists seems to be at odds with observable data as well as the fact the policy in Wales is exactly the same as Conservative controlled Cornwall.

That would also appear to be the case regarding UK being on course to achieve net zero - no data can be found support this hence none has been provided. This from a man who's word cloud is brutal. If he just said we, the Tories, are a shambles after austerity, Brexit and our last 2 leaders but I'm going to help my core supporters out I'd at least respect that.

Hi John,@ianpspurs Thank you for asking after them they seem to have gotten over the incident now .
I now live in Birkenhead, but was dragged up in Wallasey! You come from Birkenhead then Lamont, what team did you support and work for?
I don't drive if I feel unwell, I general eat eggs fried in olive oil at breakfast and cheese and egg omelettes at lunch time. I do eat very small baked potatoes at lunch time but I am not going out much now.
May main meal is at night where we eat loads of steamed veg and clean meat and fish but not salmon. Marjorie eats farmed salmon but I would not touch it with a barg pole.
Occasionally we push the boat out and have a meal or takeaway.
I eat Greek style full fat yoghurt and berries or perhaps half an apple. The Lidl strawberries have been particularly good this year
But I stopped having hypos when I changed my diet about eight years ago.
Its difficult, I also have to have a very low salt diet.
We don't go out in the evenings now, but I used to go to art classes run by local artist and former teacher Brian Campbell...he went to Liverpool Art School.

Three days in just decorations for the season! The children in this family are given gifts at Christmas and the festival is celebrated by the younger members of this family. Neil and I stay clear, once the gifts have been handed over. I do enjoy seeing the children having pleasure, as does Neil but I'm afraid, in terms of games and feasting, we are damp squibs. Christmas is not really about decorating the house or giving gifts, using commercially produced, fairly useless or short term items. Anyhow, it's still September and I refuse to look at adverts for all the overpriced things I could buy in honour of the not-very-sacred event. We may, or may not, celebrate in our own way. Food is always an issue in this house with all the things neither of us can eat, so it can't be a feasting day. It's not that we are Scrooges, just we prefer to think about what the celebration is really about.
So sad for the bereaved families and those worrying over injured children. Hope and pray that all, including the one who might have life changing injuries, recover well both physically and mentally. There was local tragedy and chaos in the county and peninsula on Friday!
The motorway was closed until yesterday, which was over 24 hours, and with so much else going on the gridlock was felt up until yesterday evening.
A teenager was killed and other teens had to be ferried to four local local hospitals including Alder Hey children's hospital, for those with critical injuries. Three still being in hospital. Over forty children were involved in the accident, as the bus/coach hit the central reservation. The coach driver was believed to have had health issues whilst driving and was found to be dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
I just can't think what the kids are going through that were on the coach, nor the families and everyone that has been affected.
Shocking, horrible, so much anguish and heart breaking!
Oh for the vicissitudes of following a team, it must be like missing out on a rare bird!6.6 yesterday.
6.4 this morning.
Spent yesterday with family and had a nice day out!
I say nice but the anxiety had me on tenterhooks as Mrs L was indoors having a restful day after Friday.
It is a horrible feeling / sensation to be away from the house and of course her BIL came and watched the box at ours. But it was still there and all for nothing. Nowt happened! Of course!
And as soon as we approached the house, it went away and after a cuppa and a bite, it went away completely!
Until I found out my team got a hammering! Then my swearing was not pleasant! I should know better!
My best wishes to you all!
Have a super Ryder cup Sunday!
I remember this vaguely!Hi John,
You mentioned earlier the unpleasant situation in Liverpool when you were young. Helen was saying it was the two bishops, Warlock and the cricketer, I think it was Shepherd (Ian will put me right) who were friends who largely brought that nonsense to a better conclusion.
I never realised it got into the football teams like in Glasgow.

I forgot to include the hospital staff coming off the picket lines to care for the injured! So sad for the bereaved families and those worrying over injured children. Hope and pray that all, including the one who might have life changing injuries, recover well both physically and mentally.
Oh yeah!Oh for the vicissitudes of following a team, it must be like missing out on a rare bird!
Marjorie feels like that following Manchester United ATM and young Dylan, Arsenal but their doing better. I purport to support Newcastle.
Correct on Lord David Sheppard.Hi John,

Both Cathedrals are impressive in their own way but I think Paddy's Wigwam has the edge.I remember this vaguely!
There has always been the differing religious spats in the city as such, but the supporters of both the clubs, has never in my experience been along those lines!
With a large Irish presence for a few centuries, the usual Catholic and Protestant differences are there and some times go beyond norm! But it is not as bad as in Glasgow!
I believe that paddys day and billys day are another excuse for a drink or two, more than what they are supposed to be about!
And being the city that it is, the diversity of all the religious beliefs, making it all seem unnecessary!
People around here are more worried about feeding and heating themselves. About the healthcare and the community.
There was a guy in charge of the normal electronics at the hospital, he was reckoned to go sick on a Monday after Carlisle lost at a weekend.Oh yeah!
why do we do it?
If I walk about 100 yards from my front garden, I can look across and see them both! Both Cathedrals are impressive in their own way but I think Paddy's Wigwam has the edge.![]()
