Thank you @gennepher
Pleased for you that your are picking up. That 250yds can be slowly incorporated into the day.I had a walk down the road before lunch and although I was too slow for Marjorie I made a mile all but 250 yds. A bit painfull but I am picking up.
Alan came this pm and tidied the garden up for me. He was telling me a single mum came to the food bank the other week with five kids not knowing how she was going to feed them.
The need is far greater than ever, how did the world get in this mess so long after I was born?
Where has all the compassion gone on the part of those in political control?

Wonderful colours in nature at this time of year. We are so lucky to be able to walk through managed but mainly wild woodland that takes you either into town or a bit further, the beach.I took this beech tree in our front garden this am.
It's particularly colourful at ATM whereas all our Ash trees have lost their leaves
Well that’s creative but owl it disentangle itselfFbg 6.7

That badger who has a fetish with the swing coverings...
Creative - no time to do a digital painting this morning, and so I took yesterday's owl and did a double exposure with my net curtains in the front room...
A ghostie owl...
I need a quick nap now (I woke up too early!) and a cuppa tea (already had my coffee)...
Have a good day!

Good to see you, have a good day.4.8 for me have a good day everyone
Welcome @Paule Foster, to this little slice of paradise. Drum stick lollys - just the name spells danger!6.9 this morning- still a bit high from last night. I had one of the kids drum stick lollys left over from Halloween figuring it was only 9 carbs & I needed a boost before bed (or I get a hypo alarm) - I spiked immediately up to 10.6! The highest I’ve been for months. So definitely no chewy sweets
It reminds one of the millions in horse flesh as well as human life that died in the meat grinder that was w.w.1Good morning everyone on a bit of a Dreich start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.7 this am. It’s all go today - well in a few minutes. Mrs Miggins has snaffled an 0830hrs appointment at the GP surgery so it’s like getting up in the middle of the night for her and she is still time lagged from the latest craze of turning the clocks back an hour. This practice of course has very little effect in the great scheme of things - the universe still hurtles along with no looking back. My dad (think 1929 Lea Francis barn find requiring a lot of work) needs an eye operation but because he is 94 and decided not to have stents after a heart attack, the surgeons say it’s too risky. Mum is putting drops in twice a day. I hope that he doesn’t lose the sight in that eye as reading gives him so much pleasure and after selling the piano last year there is not much else apart from his daily walks and a glass of Leffe blonde. Art bit, I thought to continue the theme until the 11th, will have to wait and see. Hope your Mittwoch is good to you, best finish my koffy.

Lemonade with sugar - wonder if family doctor was on commission? Chicken broth - very nourishing. I make ours by saving a couple of carcasses in the freezer and then pressure cooking them for an hour. Hope the antibiotics do the trick for your sister. In some parts of the UK, getting an appointment with anyone in a GP practice is dreadful and one does wonder if it’s some sort of Boris’ cull ideas.Hi @Paule Foster, made a similar mistake yesterday. One small glass of lemonade with sugar. BG up to 9.6. Tho hours to go down.
Lemonade was recommended by a family doctor years ago for the sugar gives energy, add a pinch of salt and it helps to prevent dehydration.
This morning FBG 4.5 is that too low?
I thought the light headed feeling was from lack of food. Still no appetite so trying a Ukranian remedy for anything -chicken broth. As it is a drink it may work. At least should be more nourishing than the lemon and ginger tea I have been living on.
My sister in UK is ill too. She has been unwell for several days with a heavy cold and cough. Enough to send her to bed. This is what she said
"After a really bad night and feeling like I was getting worse rather than better I managed to get a doctors appointment today. Initially they said three weeks, then could I fill out a triage form online. Eventually I got in to the practice and they have prescribed antibiotics for a chest infection. I should be better soon. Thank you for all your get well wishes"
I'm quite sure that if she wasn't an assertive character she would still be waiting for an appointment.
Fingers crosses for your friend’s MIL - hope no bones broken.Oh well, my plans got scuppered for today.
My friend's MIL had a fall. She still lives independently in First floor flat and still manages stairs (no lift) and takes taxis to meet with her friends. She is nearly 100 years old. My friend will tell me more later. My fingers are crossed that all is okay.
It is pouring with rain today and so I am glad I am not going out or driving.
Back in bed...
The damp outside does me no good with this cough etc, but I did need to do some food shopping. I'll just be creative with what's left in the fridge. Just thrown some pork in my Remoska, and when I smell that from my bedroom it will be cooked...then snuggle back in bed again...
Thank you @gennepherHugs for your dad x
Art bit is beautiful and poignant @dunelm
