What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 6.7

Busy today, so this is a quickie.

Wildlife nighttime cameras.
Two videos for Nov 5th
Cameras either end of swing.
Fireworks and cats and wildlife.

And I have acquired a new black cat wanting food this morning. I hope it wasn't displaced by the fireworks...

Creative, not finished, but this is what you get, I have too much to do...

Have your best day...no time for a cuppa...

Good morning everyone from a bracing start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.7 this am. A gift yesterday from those smart folk at NHS HQ; my annual agility test, in a nice presentation box. Not as intense as the old one which used three lollipop sticks. Just been and posted my thoughts on the subject in time for the 9am collection. So, that’s the pinnacle of excitement for the day unless Mrs Miggins comes up with something after dropping The Girl In The Bubble off at school - do we say school now when we are almost 4? Art bit, some trees and a few poppies (no, productive toxt, not puppies). Hope your day goes well for you. Might have another koffy and then do my exercises.

Another member of the secret garden club? Owl looks splendid - will have to wait to see if it’s already finished or nay.

Usually wonderful artwork but multiplied in this by tens or more. Appropriate for the day and for the season.

Smashing - has the rain and the wind calmed down?
Not so much wind but still frequent torrential downpours. One of our neighbours found the missing panel from the greenhouse in their garden. Great relief as replacements are astonishingly expensive.

As I said earlier I watched the Hunger Games last night. Right on cue this gel's chums seem to be throwing her under the bus. Blue on blue is always nasty. May the odds be (n) ever in your favor Suella. Kemi also messed up by misreading figures :D

The article is one of Crace's better ones. She looks just like a sulky year 9 (14 year old) waiting to be suspended.
I do really love that article @ianpspurs

Really happy that a new independent vet is opening on the 20th November in our village. Less than half a mile from our house.

So no more trips to Swaffham for Archie's monthly Librella Jab and no more 28 mile journeys to Kings Lynn to see the out of hours vet.

We know the vet well as she used to work at the Swaffham vets. She is a really good vet and the practice is doing all its own after hours visits.

The answer my friend is blowing in the wind!

It was intended to be ironic rather than funny, sorry... the waste of life with the scourge of war continues.
Are the poppys fallen or have they got new life?

Have been quite unwell for a couple of days. Hot and cold. Headache, my glasses feel too heavy and hurt my face. weak and fatigued. Dizzy sometimes. No appetite at all. Havent eaten for three days now. Spent most of time sleeping.
No FBG today.
Feeling a bit better, got up, put washing on, small undemanding tasks.. MrSlim said its good I am recovering as he needs help to move the chest freezer!!!!

Good morning all from what was a dry, bright, sunny start outside. @dunelm thank you so much for sharing the very poignant artwork. @gennepher thanks for sharing the owl and pace yourself through this busy day. Those videos show the noise last weekend. I cut the front lawn yesterday, probably for the final time this year, as it is brown bin day Thursday and the weather was good. I do like well cut grass. JKP wants to prune some things today. Will Colin Firth give the King's speech or that other guy? Can a keto toad in the hole be made edible? I'll leave it with you as you strive to have your own very best aspirational day with or without baby/puppuccino - low carb obs. Too woke?.

You shouldn't be moving stuff when your ill. Perhaps he needs to use a pair of wheels to help him..

I don't like the way my s.i.l. let's Helen lift stuff.
Men didn't do that in the world I knew.

That's stuck with me and when my dog died I laid down with him, cuddled him for hours until he passed, broke my heart but I couldn't let him go with out me there as I promised him from the time we had him
a hug for the loss.

But a win because even if it's 'expected' of us, it still takes some strength to be there, giving that level of devotion...respect.

I think it's part of the pact we make with our pets.

That promise to try & understand each others weird little ways.
To feed , care for & defend each other, in whatever way we can.

Pers bring a joy into our lives money just couldn't buy.

And that pain at the end...?

Sadly that IS the price we pay for such an unconditional love.

May no pet ever be alone when it needs that love the most.

Hugs & hope the memories of your dog helps brighten less sunny days .

I love your owl @gennepher. Good that it was a little quieter last night.

Had to edit my post as predictive text substituted oil for owl.
I think those type of 'glitches' means we're safe from AI.

I mean, skynet sends it's little AI minds out in to the world, trying to impersonate humans, and that matrix glitch has it posting "STOP OWLS"... :hilarious: :hilarious::hilarious:

Yep, I think we're safe ...

For now.:bag:

For now - yes. But just think of the havoc that could be caused by an AI system insisting that it is right and the human is wrong. We do see evidence of this in faulty prescription systems used by some pharmacies ,and other examples. Human intervention is not possible, it seems. Same with some cars - they can only have settings adjusted via the intervention of another computer, not directly by a human. :nailbiting:

Rain seems to be heavier and more frequent this year but pleased for you that you don’t have the expense of replacing the missing greenhouse panel.
