Muddy cuddles - are you actually Peppa/George Pig? #1 grandson loved that episode. We bought him a dinosaur wet suit so he could roll in them. Time to spend some of your Christmas money5.5 this morning. Last day of my holiday.
It has been lovely to have that extra time to look at new stuff. Have got some really interesting new exercises for classes tomorrow - which makes it interesting for me as well as class members.
The park is beginning to turn into a quagmire with all this rain. The good thing is that there are lots of puddles to clean my boots in. I do love splashing around in puddles.
It is not right, all this shoddy workmanship @lindisfelBefore Christmas I spen a lot on my Octavia, a big service, cam belt change and consequenceals including MOT.
The tyres only 1mm and the were from new after 45000 miles. Its running had been faultless.
I drove it three miles home and it rested, like the Almighty.
The day after boxing day we took it to Lidl grocery shopping three miles. Then we went back home and coming out Wigton the clutch pedal dropped down and stayed on the carpet the servo on the drive to the clutch had gone I imagine some careless person fixed a pipe good and proper. I drove it home with out a clutch because I knew how to do it. Two clear turns left.
The problem when I got through a zbend across the river I put into first and put the right winker in in our narrow road.
Some idiot behind decided to over take this stupid old man I turned into my drive and came up my hill to the cottage and there it stand until green flag takes it to my garage not open since before Christmas until tomorrow.
I had an amber warning of wind this morning, but it is quiet and still as the grave out there...A day busy doing nothing
So thought I'd skip food
All went well until I felt a little hungry late on
A particularly nice cheese (black bomber ?) Lauren bought that cried out to be eaten, a pot of artichokes from marks, ( delicious), but omg
'bread stick "....who thought THAT was a good idea.
My 'ok, only one' proved infinitely fallible.
Lesson about Ying & Yang V balance and consequences sorely learned 10.8..
Lchf snacky things now back on the shopping list, and no more fasting, back to 2mad, for me.
That will have to wait tho', off out with our Steph, destination unsure...lunch or dinner somewhere.
Tomorrow however IS another day.
End of the world, winds predicted here in London this afternoon.
Hope I don't end up in Kansas.
Have your bestest January Tuesday, folks.
I fully agree with your assessment on the tendering process. Two tales of woe this morning so hugs for @lindisfel and @gennepher. Derek, I hope the Octavia is soon restored to full functionality. @gennepher the sorry tale of #heatingandinsulationgate continues. Sounds as though the workmen were sub contracted via the competitive tendering process which seeks to know the cost of everything and the value of nothing. Very unfortunate that the workmen seem not to have been good ambassadors for Islam which is generally more caring and community spirited culturally than English people in general, imho. @dunelm and @gennepher thanks for sharing the art. @gennepher I'm in awe of your ability to share love in light of recent events.
Lovely new year art.Fbg 6.8
Still busy, cleaning up the mess from the boiler people. Got both my air purifiers going (but I need some new filters, I keep finding bits of the loft insulation everywhere).
I was not informed that any work was being done in the kitchen as part of the boiler installation at the other end of the bungalow. And so, I have now had to throw my toaster away and more stuff. The toaster was under where the vent was cut in the kitchen ceiling, and I cannot get all the bits of rubble out, nor the bits of loft insulation in it...I reckon all this and more (including outside CH Specialist) will have cost me several hundred pounds by the time I finish the clean up...
Each time I find a new thing they've messed up/damaged my heart dies a bit, then some words from me (I probably need a filter for that to clear the air)...
Because they assaulted my senses, when they barged in with no ID, and no explanation of who they were, and all I knew, was a group of strange men who spoke no English invading my property. It was only when they ripped the boiler out that I realised they were the boiler people. It was the first thing they did.
My friend has been giving me lessons on how to write about this incident in a politically correct manner...
I definitely need a filter for blue air...
Anyway, because my senses had been assaulted from the very start, and because I had no idea the loft insulation was being done on the same day, I was unprepared when the guy in hazmat suit and mask came in carrying loft insulation. But what didn't register was the implications until now, while I'm cleaning up, was the fact that he carried the loft insulation, not
in sealed bags, but rolled up on his shoulder with polythene on one side of the loft insulation, so there was a lot of it exposed, caught on my lampshade as he was bringing it in and the lampshade was swinging wildly with bits of loft insulation on as I have now found out. The kitchen light has the same thing bits of loft insulation still on it. I am currently trying to get the kitchen fit enough to prepare food in and I haven't been eating properly the last few days because I cannot prepare anything currently.
So, you didn't want any more words on this...well neither did I.
I need to be a recluse again...badly...I have disconnected the doorbell, locked the gate,
Any one I need/or I have authorised to gain entry will have instructions to text me from the door when they arrive. It is the system I used to have years ago after I had a spate of rogue callers. Anyone else can go and whistle up .......
Nighttime wildlife videos
Cats Midnight & Merlin & Jade & the Fox & that infernal destructive Badger.
The badger had previously, moments earlier, chewed through the ropes at the back of the swing which is why he pulled the cloths off so easily. All you see in the earlier clips is the swing rocking, apparently by itself, but it is the badger doing his evil deed at the back of the swing.
I have a plan to try and stop him, but I think he will just chew through wire as well.

Wot, no mini skirt, it is fraught out there!Good happy Tuesday Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.
It’s as stated a Tuesday therefore Loretta is let out to play.
Blood sugars this morning were 7.5 . Like others me, me’s and myself must get back in control, but I have found out mince pies are not a health food, me, me’s and myself wanted to write mince tarts, but seeing the word tart could cause offence and it’s my pandering to woke day, Loretta wrote pies instead.
Vicious stares as stated by a few, Mrs J has a kill at a glance chip installed and it’s best avoided. You have been warned.
Looking at the weather forecast for today fishnet stockings, white socks, trainers and a crop top might not be a good choice of clothes.
Stay safe all, stay dry, above all else, always look on the bright side of life.
Time to go and apply nail varnish.
Loretta
Edit @gennepher, your builders sound like builders from hell, I would have been sorely tempted to hasten their journey, I have a big crowbar and it’s clean, the blood has been wiped off from previous outings.
Great song choice - proper blast from the past. Good man yourself.6.7 this day of lots of rain, and I mean lots, thinking about an order for an ark again. Footie pitches are floating
So float on people!
Float On by The Floaters.
And my name is Larry............I
Quite a bit of shopping, fresh stuff as always, noticed straight away, prices are up, not by 5p, but rounding up to a pound etc.
The only resolution I can only subscribe to is, to try and be a better person!
If only everyone thought that way????
Anyway, things to do, the garden is growing I mean, yeah it's growing strong. Love is growing stronger!
A song there somewhere.
My best wishes to you all as always.
Lots of photographic evidence needed - wrecked toaster, rubbish all over, dirt, unusable kitchen - you get the drift. I would want an investigation and payment to replace damaged goods and a cleaning service. How dare they. Thank you for your creatives.Fbg 6.8

Thank you @Lamont DLovely new year art.
Can't or shouldn't be remiss with girl power.
You tell em, like it is girl! Go get em!
I learned that some forty or maybe more years ago, than I'd like to remember!
I know my place, as Ronnie said.
Some good news on the tech. When I had a laptop, I had no files at all on it but did have two external hard drives - labled A and B. I used A and then backed that up onto B each night. You can get huge storage now on quite small devices. Just a thought. I use several cloud sites now as I only have an IPad.8.9 at 0300 today. Up to 10.4 now - that's after breakfast and insulin. Probably not enough insulin.
Neil did manage to get a new operating system loaded onto this laptop and I did manage to access the Find My Paste website, but the new one wouldn't recognise my backups and wouldn't let me get into my e-mail. So he has put my original operating system back on. Now I can access backups, files and e-mail, but not the family history websites. Until he can work something out he is going to put the new operating system onto a 2nd hand laptop that I bought a couple of years ago as a standby when I thought this one was failing. So I'll have 2 laptops on the go, one for e-mail etc and the other solely for family history stuff.
Wish I was as technologically savvy as Gennepher but of Neil can't fix it, what chance do iI have?
Hope everything has settled down a bit now Gennepher. Once there has been an upheaval like that, it can take ages to sort out and clean up - the cleaning part being the worst. I hope you have other buddleia that you can replace the broken one with. Clearing up your garden will take some doing as well.
I don't have a basilisk stare. The best I can do is peer thoughtfully over the top of my glasses, and that only works if I'm reading or on the laptop because they are reading glasses.

Thank you @gennepher - koffy at Cafe Chez Avec always seems enjoyable.Interesting...
Enjoy that coffee...
Good driving skills. A couple of skills to practice on a motorcycle is to be able to change gear without pulling in the clutch and how long can you ride using anticipation rather than using a brake - makes for smoother riding (note: brake useful in heavy traffic to let other road users know you are slowing down but apart from that). Before Christmas I spen a lot on my Octavia, a big service, cam belt change and consequenceals including MOT.
