Thanks very much for the positivity @SlimLizzyI love this drawing and that your brain is cooperating with suggestions now. It's really just turning your creativity in a different more practical direction. Don't wear yourself out though.
Watched quite a lot of the first episode but wasn't impressed and turned it off. Did watch the current series of Death in Paradise though and quite enjoyed that. There's a new series of Beyond Paradise coming as well but I wasn't impressed by the first series so probably won't watch it. Glad you and Mrs L enjoyed The Marlow Murders Club.Back late here, been another busy day, but I spent time watching a new series on the Drama channel with Mrs L. Called The Marlow Murders club.
I enjoyed it.
Wrote by the same guy, who wrote the original Death in Paradise series way back.
Have a good nights rest everyone.
Afraid it doesn't work for me - cauliflower and broccoli reallly don't agree with me.Cauliflower mash works well as a topping, esp with a bit of cheese added.
Thanks IanMorning all. Nothing useful to report on my T2 or events dear boy, events but I enjoyed the football and family meal yesterday. @dunelm and @gennepher thank you for sharing your art. @JohnEGreen I hope progress is being made on the correct dose of warfarin so you can go home. Enjoy as much of Monday as possible.
Finally got through to the podiatrist clinic. No appointments available. The next list of appointments won't be available for a couple of days, so call back then - early because there are loads of people trying to get appointments. Just as well I won't be walking far.BG at 0430 was 9.5. No idea why that was.
Not achieved much this morning, been trying to get appointments with various people: solicitor is sick (bad kidney disease) so try another one; other one is having a day off and will try to call back tomorrow; third one, I used to work for and I know how useless they are so didn't try to get an appointment; dentist (been waiting for them to give me an appointment since October but they couldn't give me one until middle of May); podiatrist, lines are too busy - told to phone back later; tried that but the lines are still too busy so same message. At least I did get an appointment for the dentist although it won't be with my usual one. I'm lucky to have a dentist at all - Neil was deregistered about 14 years ago because they couldn't handle the volume of work and hasn't been able to get onto anyone's list since then.
Better get on with something around the house, if I can stand for long enough - legs not good today.
Edit: dismayed to learn that, after trying saurkraut 2 days ago Neil had a bad reaction which involved such pain in his joints that he couldn't move for a while - sounds very much like arthritis although it may be something to do with his Crohn's disease (inflammation in connective tissues). He stands a fairly good chance of developing arthritic conditions; has all sorts of autoimmune problems, like me and like his dad. Both of us developed arthritis both rheumatoid and osteo.
Your tale of woe over trying to make appointments does seem to give the lie to claims that the machinery of everyday life is thrumming with optimum efficiency. Hug for Neil and his post Sauerkraut issues as well as your legs not functioning as desired. All in all a day for the nurturing love of the invisible hand of the almighty. Peace be with you. Finally got through to the podiatrist clinic. No appointments available. That's a shame. (C'est dommage en français. ) cauliflower is such a useful ingredient for LC cooking.Afraid it doesn't work for me - cauliflower and broccoli reallly don't agree with me.
Beyond paradise first series was very amateur for a BBC spin off. It seemed the budget was really low. Surprised that Kris Marshall did not want it improved.Watched quite a lot of the first episode but wasn't impressed and turned it off. @gennepher and @SlimLizzy - Mr K says exactly the same thing when I have a tidy up.So I am not the only one @SlimLizzy who makes a worse mess in the process of tidying up...
Thanks.
It puts our little health concerns in the shade: we have just heard that a friend who is a missionary in Africa, and who lost his also missionary wife to cancer 2 years ago, is back home and undergoing radiotherapy treatment for cancer of some sort. What are a few aches and pains compared to that?Your tale of woe over trying to make appointments does seem to give the lie to claims that the machinery of everyday life is thrumming with optimum efficiency. Thank you @SlimLizzyGreat colours. Can see you had fun with them.
Thank you @gennepher@dunelm
Good morning everyone on a ready steady go start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Off early this morning, traveling down to South Yorkshire to attend a funeral. Art bit - too much paint. Hope your day is an interesting one. Best get some koffy and go....

My week is out of sync. Didn't talk to Australian daughter on Skype Sunday morning, but this morning instead. So today feels like Sunday...
Daughter tells me on Saturday they discovered a venomous snake under their bed. So they phone the snake catcher. Sorry, said the snake catcher, we are all blind drunk, trashed. Maybe ring again on Tuesday....
Disbelief from daughter...
She gets a long pole, gets wriggly snake into a yellow contractor's bucket. Gets it down the creek where she released it...
Nighttime wildlife video
A busy night

Creative...another sketch from that cafe last week...
Have your best kind of day...
A cuppa and a nap for me first...
