Just looked up Achnasheen - looks like the Desolation of Smaug for the eyes of children.5.9 at 03.30 today. Haven't checked since but no alarms from the Libre, so it has neither gone too high nor too low.
Em has gone on a school trip to Achnasheen - left at 05.00 to meet with the rest of her class at the ferry terminal. She was excited but suddenly dropped her cheerful mood and told me she was frightened. What of? Being away from home. I reminded her that she would be with teachers that she knew and with her class mates. "But they're not family. My Mum won't be there!" There was real panic in her voice. She's still going though, with gritted teeth. It's actually only for 3 days, so she'll survive but she suddenly seemed so young and vulnerable.
Don't know what the attraction of Achnasheen is. Last time I was there, all it had to offer was clouds of midges. Worst place I've ever been for the little monsters.
Thank you @gennepherGreat lonely tree @dunelm
Hope the rest of the day improves for you.Well, I am now at the hospital, for 8:00 am...
Not a parking space for anyone. Hundreds of cars driving in a perpetual loop for non existent spaces. Car parks at gridlock.
My appointment is for 11:30 am.
Two hours of driving round and round, and the gridlocks in the car parks taking longer and longer to get out of, and there is now real danger of my car being damaged because tempers are very high.it was now now 10 am.
S*D it, I said to myself. Came out of the hospital car park, drove back to the Expressway, to the Marble Church. It was spitting rain. I didn't check if there were any parking restrictions, I didn't care at this point, I did put my blue badge in the windscreen. It is a public highway, the parking for the church, so legally the car cannot get towed away. Worst I'll get is a fine. And that will be far cheaper than the £140 quoted by taxi firms ..I 'll find out when I get back
Set my scooter up, the battery is 8 years old, fully charged, but what is the range now? As long as it gets me to the hospital, then I'll have to hitch a ride on a car transporter to get back to the car...
The mobility scooter got to the hospital...I was wearing a large bright yellow poncho, blowing behind me, to cover me and scooter from rain ...I felt I was ready to take off...
I decided I deserved a second breakfast. Eating that now....
Then clean myself up! And off to book in for my appointment...
And I haven't even started the stress of this appointment which I have been fighting for, for nearly 8 years now.
So I was going to attend this appointment by hook or by crook ...
Next appointment I will get here for 6 am....
Hug for all the hassle getting to that appointment. I hope it went well when you finally got there. Parking here is chaotic enough, but there it sounds absolutely horrendous. I think all new hospitals ought to be built with multi-storey car parks which are not run for the benefit of private companies. It's not as if people visiting hospitals really want to be there.Well, I am now at the hospital, for 8:00 am...

Thank you @ianpspursMorning all from L.A. where, though it is by no means a proper summer's day, one can leave the door open and probably sit outside wearing only one fleece jacket for an outer layer. @gennepher thank you for sharing the magnificent creative but hug for #parkingate. Hospital parking space seems to be a national issue itself never mind the cost. @dunelm thank you for sharing the tree. This series of trees has made me aware of how artists see the natural world differently to myself. My first instinct when seeing trees is can I one make money from the excess produce or for fuel? Both of which were the main concerns of people in my home area. Unusually, I feel it is time for some tea here. I do hope you can enjoy your Monday as far as circumstances permit.
Gave a hug...awful way to begin an appointment.Well, I am now at the hospital, for 8:00 am...

But giving a big WIN here for the way you dealt with it .
Starting to think your middle name is Granite, you stay so solid when life gets tough and others might start to crumble .

The magpie has just dropped a feather.
Cat Midnight is in 'I'm taking no prisoners' mode today. Just had to rescue Cat Amy because she was not backing down...then I found a pile of ginger fur in the kitchen...so Midnight dislikes ginger cats today...
Nighttime wildlife videos
Just badgers. Two Badgers playing
