What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you @ianpspurs

Cannot the wildlife go and be a pest elsewhere....
They'll go where there is easy access to abundant food. For them you are an all you can eat heaven. Deep down I sense that on one level you are content with that. Could you maybe have an area where the plants were solely for the animals and hang the aesthetics?

The happiness and joy we had been feeling over the riddance of the toxic government and the optimism and hope for a better future I’m afraid has been tempered for us somewhat today with the news that Judith’s sister has been diagnosed with Leukaemia a bit of a shock and rather upsetting.

Thoughts and prayers with you all John.

Morning all from a damp L.A. on reset Saturday. A day for me to analyse how best to integrate what I think I learned from yesterday's face to face with my oncologist - quite positive actually. Currently drinking tea and watching rugby with football later. #3 son and grandchildren coming later. Since it is a key policy plank in my manifesto to rest and heal I am richly blessed. @gennepher hug for the spoiled plans and wreckage but wildlife is just that: wild, very much alive and determined to remain so. Thank you for the gorgeous kaleidoscope. @dunelm enjoy the koffy and walk. Thank you for sharing the art and alternative view on all the sport available to view. A tad juandiced (choleric even?) imho so I gave a hug as I wondered if there was some pain involved in the mood. Meanwhile, new Guvnor at the Kings Head. Nice chap, dad was a tool maker. Apparently wants a load of bricks which is quite a change from the last five who recruited a load of pric**. @JohnEGreen hug for the impact of your political environment. What I think we learned from reading the runes is that contemporary UK is a modern, European Social Democratic nation despite the ludicrous paper dragon posturing and spreading disinformation in Clacton trying to drag us down and back in time. So hang in there and rest in God's peace. The "woke" spoke - they aren't going away. It wasn't a call for Reform or vote for Starmerism. It was the majority "rainbow coalition" that took back control of their - OUR actual country - big emphasis on all our actual lived experience not the dystopian one that only exists in the cash register mind of the awful, avaricious faux Trump tribute act. Y'all take care now.
I agree so much with that!
isn't it particularly humorous?
That all over the media.
is the issue of PR.
The right didn't want it, until they believe it would work for them.

The really stupid thing is, it still wouldn't have worked this time around.
but then, there was so much, tactical voting, that the results worked for Labour.
for a change!
Even the boundary changes didn't work for them.
Shame!

So sorry to hear that, John. My thoughts and prayers go with her and with you both.

7.0 on this very damp squib Saturday.
I'm either talking about the weather, the footie, Mrs L or my inability to get out on this typical British summer's day?

Have a wonderful weekend
Best regards to the thread people.

It's when those Badgers have had an all night party (the mess) that I have to clear up after @ianpspurs
All the plants in the ground are the animals', they've made that clear. I do have hanging baskets which the badgers and foxes cannot reach, but the squirrels can reach and I discover I have a baby oak tree forest in them...

I am very sorry about that @JohnEGreen
Hugs for you all

Thank you @ianpspurs - no pain. Just a bit of fun. I like mountains, open spaces, forests, quiet places. Never seen the point of watching sport of any kind, even the sports that I did participate in (rugby, hockey and water polo).

Not good news and thoughts are with you and your family.

I too like those places, you can sort your head out, it can add clarity.
However, I have always supported my home club.
And, when my club was being really rubbish, it's more than once, I was asked why do I do it?
Because...........!
Well, I found out, it wasn't the actual sport on the pitch, believe it or not, it is the experience of being there, the whole thing, from the journey, to the places, to the social part and sharing it with like minded people, to the being a part of it all, the emotional journey. The highs, the lows. The expectation, the promise of being better, even the disappointment. The whole thing. The thrill.
It was nearly as good as playing.
And when I got the chance to be a part of my club.
It became personal.
It was hard at first to distinguish the difference between being professional in my work, and being too emotional.
I was warned to behave a couple or so times!!!!!
Well actually, it it wasn't for another member of staff, I would have done something really stupid at Wembley, when we won there!!!!!!!!!!!!

Raining here.
The small birds are congregating in my garden this morning. My back garden is full of them...
The badgers do not appear to have partied last night...
I have figure out where the new three birthday bushes are going to go, and how to protect them against the badgers, but the bushes are now are living in the bathroom under the shower at the moment...

Nighttime wild life videos.
Two different Badgers & a Fox...

Creative...kaleidoscope using Laboscope...
Sunflowers and a solar butterfly light in the garden...

Time for a cuppa and a nap...

Have your best day...

Smashing kaleidoscope, hope it stops raining soon

Good morning everyone on an all things bright and beautiful start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Lovely walk through the woods yesterday morning about 5 miles. Met up with daughter - breakfast at lunch time! Then the eldest son in the afternoon before he dashed back home for something important on the jelly vision box. Supposed to be an appointment for a Lung Health Check this morning but got cancelled just before I left the house - its Sunday, the scanner isn’t working, the person with the hammer and oil can is nowhere to be found! So, tomorrow then. Mrs Miggins is still sleeping, blissfully unaware that her appointment today has also been skilfully changed to Wednesday by her loving and caring husband without having to wake her - I am pretty sure it will clash with something that I should have dragged out of the ether. Never mind, I live a dangerous life and quite like hospital food - well, any food really, apart from andouillettes sausages, Balut and tripe. Most things are edible but not necessarily palatable. Art bit - a tree. Undecided whether this is finished or not. Hope your day is a good one. I shall make koffy and enjoy the stillness of the morning.
