There is a food fair on in town today - lots of closed roads. Not sure if we will go. Last year there were long queues. I think there may be some wafting through or around in order and a visit to a hopefully not too busy beach. We can take a picnic - the grandchildren are not that interested in fish and chips - or chips of any description really and much prefer fruit, sliced veg and probably an ice cream. Art bit - succumbed to adding a bit more. Hope your day is a good one. To paraphrase Musonius Rufus, when we are ill, we must take a great deal of care to bring ourselves back to health. I shall make koffy and sit in the garden.

I have just woke for the bathroom and managed 2 hours
Sleep so far!

I fell asleep before I posted this.....wrote it about midnight!!!

Am now on 2nd trip to bathroom at 2 am and to refill my drinking water bottle. Going back to sleep again...but water bottle now empty, just drank 350 ml. I need plenty of water because of Sjögren's syndrome, even in the night.

To sleep now before I read anything.....I woke up with iPad still in my hands...right, putting it off and aside now....night night....

Had an urgent call yesterday evening from Alistair. DIL has developed shingles in her feet! Apparently it looks like an acid burn but she went to A&E and they said it was shingles. Nothing they could do about that. Alistair were looking for some calamine lotion to try to calm it down. Unfortunately, I didn't have any. Eventually, after a rummage, we found some echinacea tablets which might have helped a bit, but they were out of date. I had suggested they call 111 to get some advice and when I tried phoning to offer the out-of-date tablets in case they wanted them, I got no answer from either phone. No further news yet. I would have thought that A&E would offer some sort of dressing and prescribe some anti-viral medication, but they didn't.

The scan I had in February that resulted in being admitted to hospital because of the leaking AAA stent was actually to enable them to determine a plan of action to deal with the PAD but so far have heard nothing back from them about it so I am thinking of trying to contact them over the coming week they did say to contact them if pain gets worse but so far have resisted doing so.
I have a number of appointments booked for wound dressings at the doctors for this week coming.
Last week had several blood tests done yesterday had a message from the surgery asking me to book a follow up blood test but not telling me which blood test needs a follow up should be interesting when I go last time this happened the nurse had no idea what test was required and had to guess
Anyway have bored you all enough with my trivia hope every one has a good day ta ta for now.
