What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

A good plan but do check your fluid intake, water is better inside you than inside a water bottle. Dry chicken can play havoc with bowel walls I seem to remember.

Thank you @ianpspurs

Kuratake - very nice, I have one of their refillable ink brushes, the thickness of which feels so comfortable for my fingers.

Need is an interesting word. What metric will be used?
For any metric there will be dissenters. I am waiting without holding my breath to see what this shiny new government will do about the 1 penny knife edge over the line income for completely stopping care allowances which is pretty ridiculous. I find it bizarre that my war pension payments fluctuate depending upon inflation and yet …. What an inequitable mess.

Better off pensioners have been cosseted for their reliably Tory votes at the expense of the young and vulnerable. Of course this lot will make mistakes but I'm inclined to see things through the prism of the NABATs (Nothing's as bad as Trump) - swap Trump for (Populist) Tories. Have a think about Britain under Kemi or who comes next and further down the insular Populist road and one easily sees these as the good old days.

Wonder if he's either been peeping at @Krystyna23040 new fitness video or prepping himself for some floor work in Paris.....mmmhh.

Your two trees seem to be getting along famously @dunelm ... or are they? If you're rooted to the spot, I suppose you haven't much option!

Monday's FBG, 4.4 mmol on waking at 6.00 am.

03:30 bg 4.4 O2 85% awful pain in left leg not sure what to do.
I did try googling nhs leg checker for you, but each time I get nhs wales leg checker , no good fo you, you need England.
You do have a gp I believe, phone them.
Then you have done something.

You have several ongoing things at the moment from what I understand. And you don't know if the leg pain is an indication of something developing in one of those things.

When I lived in England 20 years ago, there were nhs walk in centres (we don't have then in Wales), and if they couldn't deal with your problem, they could direct you to the nearest appropriate place, or even give you an immediate referral.

Sorry I had a bad night, not quite with it this morning...yet...

Bit low on the O2. Is this related to other issues? - look up pursed lip breathing and deep belly breathing. Can you stand walking on that painful leg? If so, walking in the open air to get the pumps going and some pursed lip breathing outside may be of some help. I have some mild emphysema as well as asthma and the pursed lip breathing is easy to do - breath out through pursed lips and then in through your nose with mouth closed.

Good morning everyone on an all things bright and beautiful start here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.8 this a.m. 7 miles yesterday - down through the woods with the miniature scooter gang - a bit of foraging although at this time of year such things as nettles and plantains will need cooking - berries coming along but still green. Some seeds and then sea lettuce in the rock pools down on the beach. Ice creams for the scooter gang then along the lower prom and up through the other woods. Called into the post office on our way home. I bought a card some months ago, a print from a local artist. Posted it to my mother - should arrive in time for her birthday - quelle surprise. Lunch - the girls went shopping and then down to the beach again to search for hermit crabs - brought a bucket full of shells home. Art bit - we painted our hands with sumi-e ink. Enjoy your day - I need a bit of pain relief this morning and some good koffy to gee me up a bit.

Is the thought to restrict the payments to those who actually need it?
Actually, that is a good point. I have felt a bit uncomfortable about getting the winter fuel allowance as I would have preferred for people who really do need it to get a bigger amount that would really help them - rather than someone like me who has a pension, and also has an income from running my classes, getting it just because of my age.

Yes, I totally agree with you @ianpspurs .
