Thank you @gennepher. Weight/bmi, sats level, heart rate and BP all good according to the medical team. I dad a chance catch up with a nurse from the small local outreach clinic I used to attend - lovely Greek lady. Just awaiting the full bloods feedback which should drop in overnight/early tomorrow. No scheduled visits until November. You take care.

Thanks @dunelm. The Zoe30+ won't be for oysters, probably use as a salad topping - if I ever learn to enjoy salad . Lemon/plain or something simple. This may be a goer although certain dwellers of the D and D Norf and N Norfolk are possibly more apt considering the moniker. I'm ever so 'umble Mr Copperfield as someone is wont to say, forget who

Had oysters in Spain a couple of weeks ago - just a squeeze of lemon - smashing. My French brother in law used to make oysters-Rockerfella - I wasn’t blown over to be honest but didn’t tell him. Such a wonderful man.

but I get the reasons.

this time forty years ago, I was in a maternity ward, (no don't go anywhere near what you are thinking) I was watching the Olympics, which was on the television, the suite for dad's was new! This was the day that Daley Thompson won in L.A. It was in the early hours that my middle lad was born, my third.
So to celebrate, match tmorrow, and the lads can have a scoop of two, I'll be having tea. Except the younger ones of course.......
can't believe it's forty years!

Watching a couple of ex players on the television now. On the new sky +
tHe footie's back yay!

The wind has been crazy this afternoon, quite a few flowers have lost their flowering petals, but the sun was warm, managed a couple of hours in the garden. Lots of early autumn leaves in the front garden.

Early bed I think.

Precious memories from forty years ago. Many happy returns tomorrow to your middle lad, enjoy the football tonight and tomorrow - new precious memories to be made. We don't put up with you, we learn from and are inspired by you. Now I've said that you'll have to get a bigger hat. La

Much sympathy to you and Judith for both the loss and the shock. Death is never easy and being unexpected makes it more difficult. My thoughts are with you at this sad time.
 
We enjoy Teifi @JohnEGreen, an organic, unpasteurised cow's milk cheese with a complexity of flavour that to my mind makes it irresistible.

I first discovered Teifi, pronounced Tavey, at Neal's Yard Dairy in Covent Garden some years ago. It made an instant impression and has become a firm favourite.


Friday's FBG 4.7 mmol on waking at 6.00 am.

All went well with the arrival, meal, games and bedtime for little ones. However just as adults were retiring an unexpected incident of projectile vomiting caused chaos for a considerable time.
You try stripping the bed entirely, mopping the floor and remaking the (double) bed in the dark while being as quiet as possible so as not to wake the sleeping baby.
Meanwhile mother is bathing the vomit covered child who is howling at the indignity and refusing to have his hair washed...
Things can only get better from here.
 
That's the best news possible @ianpspurs. Sounds as though all is well as can be.

The girls are delightful. So grown up now at 12 and nearly 14 (birthday end of the month)
The baby an absolute star, smiley and almost walking.
The little boy is fun, full of energy. Constant demands of "play with me" but so loud! Mum says he has no volume control.
Day out at local market and park much enjoyed by all who attended. MrSlim is still in considerable pain from his ribs. Exacerbated by spending two mornings mechanicing the mower, taking off the deck to fit a new drive belt and then jolting himself about on it for a couple of hours once it was fixed.
He says he is getting depressed at his slow recovery. It's been less than two weeks since he fell! Playing Molkkï with the children exhausts him. Anything more strenuous is out of the question.
I don't think watching all those super fit athletes at the Olympics is helping.
The horde departed late morning. Camping trip with cousins.
For about an hour it was peaceful, then it was too quiet. They will be returning here on the 13th. Just in time to celebrate a first birthday.
 
MrSlim does need to take it easy @SlimLizzy

Sounds like you are all having a great time.
Happy birthday for the little one when they come back.
