What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good advice. As for Laura K I'm assuming that isn't a version some on the Genghis Khan wing of the previous government may have used in their Trumpesque devotion. O/T slightly, I've just had lox, cream cheese and keto bagel - hold the red onion. #

Very spiffing indeed

Hope your medical treatment, doesn't surround you too much @alf_Josiah. My boss wouldn't care if I was ill!

Art brilliant.
Don't use olive oil or Popeye.
Grandkids are great (ratbags) especially when not running you ragged, not spending too much of your money, and at home. Love em tho!

Weather is very peninsula like.
A bit of rain, a bit of sun, colder than anywhere down sarf. Cloudy, windy,
So I'm watching the footie cos of that.

Mrs L needs a cuppa.

All looks fine and dandy for the new box - good man. I'm also watching football on TV . Palace were my local team from 1974 to 1986 and I helped with a team coached by Roy Hodgson who had been a supply teacher, they were rather good. One lad went to Palace and one to Southampton. Also watching The Hundred on this device in between steps either indoors or as sheltered from the East Anglian sun (sunny 23C here, hotter in our garden) as possible due to Doxycycline.

Mr K raises the bar for all males of the species once more. He's the Mondo Duplantis of husbands and all we can do is trail in his wake and applaud. No out of stock sign in Newmarket so JKP made me buy 4 bottles despite my protestations. She said it was rude not to and I never argue with my driver.
JKP is definitely a winner for buying the 4 bottles as it may end up out of stock until the new crop is harvested from October onwards.

Did a bit more research and apparently it is also very good for dogs, especially older dogs like Poppy.

Oh no - I think another trip to Aldi is on the cards.

Was going to start going over my videos of my recent training but I was still in holiday mode today.

Also, had started reading a new book and I can't put it down. It is so well written. I don't often get the chance to read fiction. Am so pleased that Mr K recommended it to me.

I like my fiction, what book pray tell?

yeah and I've been flicking.
citeh gonna win the league.

My youngest was a mascot for Rovers back in the 90's at Paace, when a certain Steve Coppell ran the place.
it was when the wombles were ground sharing with em.
cos of the connection, as Steve was a youth at PP, I believe we got special treatment. My lad has the programme on his wall framed obviously with both teams players signatures.
Aldo was our gaffer then.
It is a special memory for me and my lad.

Funny story.......
Not long after, we again at Selhurst park, in the league cup evening ko.
Went to penalties, finished at around 11.30pm.
Most of our supporters slept in London that night, as the last train was at 11pm.

I think we didn't get home on the coach around 4.45am.

Poppy is already a very well looked after dog but that would/will be next level. We give ours a raw egg and cod liver oil every morning but not EVO. I paid for the EVO, JKP finds the taste is too strong. Don't go crossing the border looking for EVO or even go into Thetford :playful: Good on you for reading not doing work today.

Is there no end to that man's talents?

Raw egg and cod liver oil really good for dogs.

Hope you find the taste of the EVO OK.

It was so lovely to relax and read today.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Blood sugars this morning were Welsh cake inspired 8.6 and secondly 8.9 ho hum. I did enjoy those cakes a rare treat.

I wrote a couple of months ago that my posting on this thread would be a trifle irregular for various reasons then Mrs J broke her wrist and me, me’s and myself became her dogsbody and someone to shout demands and instructions at, thankfully Mrs J is recovering nicely and her general irritability I have learned to live with by not listening and if I do listen immediately forgetting what was said.

Well, unfortunately I have to undergo a course of medical treatment starting tomorrow Monday 19th that will last 20 working days and make me very tired and grumpy. Mrs J will say no change there.

I shall attempt to read the posts on this thread. I believe this called lurking.

Now it is time for me, me’s and myself to sign out and prepare for the imminent onslaught of the grandchildren. It is the grandparents duty to set an example for the grandchildren, not necessarily an approved by their parents example.

Stay safe all.
Here's hoping your course of medical treatment proceeds smoothly @alf_Josiah and doesn't make you too tired to lurk on this thread every now and then.
Lurking here has its merits, if you can keep up that is (I can't).

Sunday's FBG 4.6 mmol on waking at 6.00 am.

Thank you for sharing a fascinating nighttime video and a kaleidoscope despite feeling dog tired.
You need your beauty sleep @gennepher. You've a deficit to make up and deserve a rest.

My research was about ancient religious practices. I suppose it's not actually research, or at least not primary research because it was just getting information from other people's work. They were the ones doing the research. Anyway, there seems to be an idea amongst experts that the first monotheisitic religion was that of Aten - the religion imposed on Egypt in the 1300's bce by Amentohep. No idea when that began but, Abraham introduced monotheism to his tribe around 1950 bce in Mesopotamia. Something wrong in the timings somewhere. Unless the Egyptologists weren't thinking out beyond the borders of Egypt. Actually, I'm not sure that Egypt's territories didn't include Caanan at the very least, at that time. More work to be done on that, I think. Fascinating subject though.

BG was up at 10.3 by the time I did check it - around 05.00. Now I've taken my basal insulin but also had a cup of coffee and it is at 12.3. Going to be another day struggling to keep it down to a reasonable level.
