What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I have had the same experience, but when I phoned the surgery and explained that I needed to know the exact result so that I could understand if my changed diet was helping, they did tell me the result.
In France, the system automatically sends all test results to both patient and doctor. Much better system, I think.

Some bad news, an old colleague of mine from the football club has died suddenly.
He was in charge of the kit before I succeded him, after he was voluntarily removed from his job.
I did travel with him and stayed in hotels etc.
Sad.

One of my lots wedding anniversary.

Mrs L is driving me nuts. I have passed the end of the tether. Am on the supplementary extension of the tether.

#8 called in this morning, at least I can get some play time with him.

Quick visit again.
Weather just cloudy.

Not in the slightest. Some of us warned of its likelihood in the run up to the referendum way back in 2016.
Some things are so predictable, you don't need a crystal ball!

Friday's FBG 4.6 mmol/L on waking at 6.00 am.
 
Morning all on a dull start to Saturday in L.A. where we are promised 24/25°C later. My fbg could have been the 4.9 Libre showed unless it was taken on a Truth and Socialonmeter when it would either be as low as a Kamala rally crowd or as massive as The Felon's. My Libre sensor was made in Atlanta Ga so it only accepts results I like and they must be shown on the far right of the screen. In other news no one has given me any designer suits, I don't wear glasses and Nige has helpfully redefined the words bigot, provoke and riot. Who knew we'd all been so wrong all these years? @gennepher thank you for sharing the latest amazing kaleidoscope. I liked the large version better: whatever the visual equivalent of cleansing the palette is that piece did the job. Enjoy Saturday but not too much if you are Travis Head and pals or Thomas Frank and co.

Good morning everyone on a damp squib of a start to the day here in French Froggy France. 5.4 this a.m. and the promise of lots of rain. Good job we took advantage of all that glorious sunshine yesterday. Soup making - a spicy veg soup - blitzed in my mums Thermomix (very cheffy) and then brown lentils and coconut milk added. All bagged up, 10 portions, in the freezer. Market today. Mum want’s a plant for the garden and a browse round the stalls. Lunch out I think. Art bit, more ink splodges. Hope your day is a bit dryer than it it here. Smashing kaleidoscope @gennepher. Best get on, washing to fold and koffy to make.

The diary Secretary has been at it again and has put two 1:1s in my lunch break today. Must get rid of the diary Secretary. Oh no - that's me isn't it

Good news this morning. AVogel have now, at last, got my allergy herbal tincture back in stock. Have ordered 4 bottles this morning. Nothing else I tried works like the luffa drops do. What a relief.
 
Sounds as though you have a busy and wet day ahead of you. Enjoy the market and lunch. Thank you for sharing your art. Take care with that folding of washing, it is a dangerous job. Not physically dangerous but it does have a habit of surfacing in "discussions" for years if some obscure processes aren't precisely followed - so a friend told me anyhow
 
BG at 03.40 was 5.5. No alarms during the night, so all was well, even though the night wasn't very long (01.00 to 03.10). Made up for it after taking pain killers, by going to sleep in the kitchen chair until just after 08.00. BG still at 5.7.

My left hand is back in operation today so things are looking up.

Heavy fog here this morning. Not surprising after the odd looking sky we had last night - strange shade of yellowy peach, merging into a purple shade of grey.

Weekend here for some reason.
#7 & #8 here for a while, then on to training for #7, whilst #8 and cars to be played with.
Mrs L is not being uncooperative today, yet.

Lots of eggs boiling for later and probably fridge for tomorrow, with some salad.And

Cricket is on.
So is footie.
Arrows catch up later.
Kitchen duties inbetween.

Weather cloudy, but still quite warm. Believe Boris is to storm onto our shores, hopefully not up here.
But forecast next week is full of rain again. Probably wind as well.

Gotta go, #8 wants to play and Mrs L wants a cuppa.

Thank you @ianpspurs. Fortunately I got to grade 7 in hospital corners. Of course fitted sheets had still to be invented at that time but I tackle those by pretending that I am packing a parachute. Some folk in the laundry police get a bit picky about that but like cake, you can’t eat a fitted sheet.
