What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks for watching @LivingLightly and for the compliment!

There are some folk who are crepuscular even in daylight - dull but strangely quiet distinct.

Good morning everyone on sun shining against a dull sky sort of start here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.4 this a.m., surprising after walking over 8 miles yesterday - three trips into town for a variety of tasks which could not be done at the same time - post office, lunch, evening meeting. Still, donning a raincoat seems to deter rain - the opposite of umbrella sales. Art bit - pouring blue and green onto black ink on wet paper - used far too much water - needs practice. Hope your day plays nice for you. The heating has come on - humbug! Best have koffy.

@dunelm I love the turquoise, whether too much water was used or not !!!

5.7 at 05.20 today. Tested before breakfast and it was 7.5. Now it's 11.4 despite taking insulin. Another one of those puzzling days.

Dull looking day today but dry at the moment. No wind - the trees outside the window are completely still. Cleaner's day today, so I can't hang around.

Morning all from L.A. where there was a fresh start to the day weather wise. Hedging and ditching season weather next 2 or 3 days (3-5 weeks early) and the clowns have 2 more cricket matches scheduled. Shiver me timbers and refunds all round seem likely. At 5.30 my fbg was 4.4 and Hive thermostat told me it was 20 in my hallway so no heating as it is set to 15 overnight then 17 until 8.15 before soaring up to 18. Coats and heated blankets are available for the profligate:#22billionblackhole.com. @dunelm thank you for sharing the art, extra water or no. So much for you taking it easy yesterday. @Krystyna23040 how is Trev these days? I'm fascinated as to how predictive text ends up with that. @gennepher thank you for sharing the video and another majestic kaleidoscope. I took this one as a kind of sepia photo of a piece of Celtic religious art: nurse will escort me back into bed soon. Enjoy/endure/mix and match your Wednesday.

@ianpspurs I typed Rec and predictive text changed it to Trev. I changed it back to Rec and pressed the post button and somehow predictive text changed it back to Trev again without me noticing

Yet I have typed Rec in this post and it didn't try to change it to Trev. Perhaps it is off causing havoc somewhere else

Trev is an amusing family story here. Oldest grandchild was given an Easter Bunny by us when he was about 2 (too long in the checkout queue at W so granddad got bored, a few things have been bought that way, especially at Christmas and Easter), When asked to name it he said Trevor. Now, nearly 12 he still has it on his bed and it is known as Trev. To this day neither his parents nor anyone else know where the name Trevor came from - rather like your predictive text.

With Mr Slim being away there are now no biscuits, cakes or icecream in the house.
There are a few potatoes left and a lot of fruit in the freezer. Going to throw out the plums that left a nasty mettalic taste in my mouth.
Shopping today. Resisted the fresh sweet Corn in Lidl. The only place I have seen it here. My French friend had never heard of frozen seetcorn and tells me maïs doux (in cans) is only ever eaten cold here
Gradually eating up the home frozen produce. Think proffesionaly frozen will keep better for a period of some months.
Yesterday dinner was roast lamb, crushed baby potatoes, French beans and red cabbage. Followed by unsweetened stewed plums. All except potatoes from the freezer.
This week has been minimal cooking. Going to search out another packet of frozen pumpkin soup for lunch tomorrow and the day after - everything is packed in portions for two!

Winner for the fbg, aided by lack of temptation and running down the freezer. Is running down the freezer part of preparation for the possible move or just clearance ahead of this year's harvest?
