What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Marina Hyde is a good writer @ianpspurs

I have used the mobile phone as a bluff get out of a awkward/dodgy situation. And I cannot even use a telephone because of my deafness.
I believe women have to be more aware of their surroundings than men have to be, for their own safety.
Bluff and a mobile phone can go along way....

You use anything at your disposal....

Pity I didn't spot made should be male - rather makes the point about men and their attitudes. Sorry.

Thank you @SlimLizzy. The support from Mr K has been so helpful.
The ankle support he got me is really brilliant. Pain levels have dropped by about 70%. Have also been icing it.

My sister was here doing admin again this morning. She told off off for overdoing it and walking too far yesterday. She said that she wished she could have stopped me. She had tried but I had insisted that I was fine.

Hug for that - for your sister as well. Fine line between being a strong independent woman and what less charitable people may see as stubborn. I may know two such examples and this thread is also particularly well stocked. Anyone know the proper collective noun - a Truss maybe?

Fbg 6.8

Wildlife nighttime video.
Fox and Badger arrive together & dig for food together

And same vid on TikTok

Creative..in my tidying up I found a pice of rag paper with different colours on it, so I worked on making it into a picture...I shall call it "Between Worlds".

Time for bed soon so Sweet Dreams

How irritating to have inappropriate music added to a nighttime wildlife video!
Thank you @gennepher for sharing this painting on scrunched up paper, soaked with beautiful colours.

Thursday's FBG 4.4 mmol/l on waking at 6.00 am.

Morning all from a one degree cooler L.A. on all Saints day 2024. Now we have entered the dark, cold season. I suppose the order has been given for the big red button marked compulsory jollity to be pressed and forty odd year old music to be played in shops and on radio. Just remember to either dig out your sweater by Dec 12th or buy a new one - even up there in the D and D North granddad. Too soon to have the tree(s) up and a wreath on the front door or indulge in one of these? @gennepher thank you for sharing the video and the creative which was a clever way to re-purpose the rag paper. I think I see the reason for the name but I may be reading well beyond the lines. Yesterday went as smoothly as possible for me especially as during my scan it was announced that there was an issue with sending the images to their destination and the system would need a reboot after this last scan - of about an hour. Enjoy all/some/as much as possible of your Friday, I have salmon and a Greek salad so at least some part of today will be a Fairground attraction event (JKP is a dab hand at the essential crispy skin element) - what's yours? 5.8 this morning. Back to normal fbg today.

Ankle improving. Am surprised how quickly it is getting better. Am still hobbling but it is not anything like as painful as it was yesterday morning. The ankle support has been really important as moving with support seems to really help the healing process.

Thanks @ianpspurs
And for the lyrics..

Yes, it is a fine line @ianpspurs.

A friend reminded me of the saying - bad things come in threes. So, first there was Covid, then Poppy's seizure and now my ankle. Hopefully no more

Beautiful piece of art, a real treat
