Best wishes for JKP. I have had several of those explorations including polyp removal and found recent techniques have improved considerably. Prayers for a good result.Morning all from a bleak L.A. where events elsewhere mean hanging onto this is hard but essential. Thank you @JohnEGreen for originally sharing. JKP has her colonoscopy today and we all three have coughs and sneezes. The wild boar may have come into the vineyard and looks set to root out the vine, goodness knows how the temple will be defiled but as bleak as Friday, ok Wednesday, may be, Sunday's coming: that's the Advent hope. @SlimLizzy great self restraint in avoiding those cakes, not buying wine and keeping your success from Mr Slim. I hope you find a solution to the care of Kiki. Enjoy your day everyone and if it isn't too needy to ask your thoughts and prayers for JKP and for the U.S of A wouldn't go amiss.
Same here Alexander would be a 7th great Grand uncle of a 1st cousin of mine.Tom's ancestor was not Alexander himself, but his brother. But the connection is there. So you are related to me and to my husband. Nice!
I had one a few weeks ago and had a polyp removed it was not too bad a bit uncomfortable but that’s all.@JohnEGreen and @dogslife thank you for the thoughts and prayers for JKP. I hope the process isn't as unpleasant as some say and your post has given some comfort @dogslife. Hopefully this is merely to eliminate the very worst case scenario. She did not find the prep at all pleasant.
Glad to hear that John. Just heard all is done, on the way home and to quote, "nothing sinister" found. Thanks be to God.I had one a few weeks ago and had a polyp removed it was not too bad a bit uncomfortable but that’s all.
We may be closer than I had thought. The story goes that Mary Bell, was the wife of Alexander's brother - I think his name was Thomas, but I'd have to look that up. It was a fight with her that caused Alexander to be brought before the kirk and which decided him to go away to sea. I gather he was a troublesome young man anyway and fought with lots of people within the family and the fight with Mary was the last straw. Tom was directly descended from Mary and "Thomas".Same here Alexander would be a 7th great Grand uncle of a 1st cousin of mine.

Hug for feeling that you may need to be a hermit but hopefully your mind will come up with a solution, I do hope so. Thank you for sharing the video and kaleidoscope as they always appeal to me even though me and art are not natural allies.Fbg 6.8
I gave yesterday's experience in the disabled toilet some thought. I did not quite go with the bar staff telling me oh it was just somewhat wanting to break open the lock to get in to use the toilet, despite it being occupied.
That corridor to that disabled toilet is in a deserted part of Wetherspoons, and no one would've heard me had somebody attacked me.
With hindsight, I cannot use that disabled toilet again and in consequence I cannot use that Wetherspoons pub.
I realise I am an old doddery disabled bent over lady, who probably looks like she would be a pushover if someone decided to mug her. Yes, I would give a good account of myself if needed. But I would much rather not be injured. So reluctantly, I have decided I'm going to have to curtail my activities outside the house. Which may basically see me turning into a hermit.
A lot of disabled toilets here, are not placed very well for the security of the disabled people who need to use them. That unfortunately is my deciding factor in going out.

Right you are - John. I knew Thomas was wrong but it was all I could dredge from my memory. The family lived in Lower Largo, Fife - and some are still there, I believe. At the time it would have been a very small fishing village.I believe Mary was married to his brother John which is the line that I am connected to directly.

@ianpspurs, glad to hear that the procedure is all done and it's just a matter of relaxing and waiting for the result now. In my case they did find some polyps which they took away during the procedure and no further treatment required. Trust it will be the same for JKP.dunelm said:
Good morning everyone on what may be a bleaker day that just the grey sky here in the dark and dangerous north. Late up this morning. It’s pre bin day today so the first (and the last) thing on the list is empty all the little bins into the big bin and then, in the cover of darkness, trundle the big bin up to it’s designated position on the grass verge by the road. Yes, we have a grass verge. Some of which has trees on it - very quaint. Mrs Miggins will be getting the larger of the upstairs bedrooms ready for our pal who arrives from LA tomorrow - no, he didn’t vote as he is not a citizen of that place - merely a green card holder. Art bit - this year’s Remembrance. Hope your day improves as it trundles along. I should make Kory.
Thank you for sharing the art - very apt. Enjoy your time with your friend from the USA. The use of Kory made me chuckle as our friendly American neighbour has that first name but with a C - we take in lots of parcels. Blue bin day here tomorrow, I used the squasher yesterday - great fun. @gennepher thank you for the good wishes. All done, safely home and relaxing.
Thank you @Annb. They did find and remove a polyp and as a precaution sent samples for analysis but felt nothing would come of that. She is sleeping now as the prep and early - for her - start meant she had very little sleep. @Lamont D lovely neat and tidy garden and everyone understands your circumstances so post when you can or just lurk in any downtime. Besides, the lovely Debbie said it well - just swap we for I. so sorry to have missed the post about the polyp.Thank you @Annb. They did find and remove a polyp and as a precaution sent samples for analysis but felt nothing would come of that. 5.6 this morning.
The good thing about classes in my local halls today is that they are smaller halls than my Norwich hall - so don't have to walk as far.
Yesterday I didn't go up the road for a coffee at the pub but took coffee with me and relaxed and read in a comfortable chair in my venue so was able to rest my ankle for longer - which was much better for it.
I found the preparation quite unpleasant too@ianpspurs but worth it to make the test more accurate. I hope all went well today.@JohnEGreen and @dogslife thank you for the thoughts and prayers for JKP. I hope the process isn't as unpleasant as some say and your post has given some comfort @dogslife. That is wonderful news @ianpspursGlad to hear that John. Just heard all is done, on the way home and to quote, "nothing sinister" found. Thanks be to God.
That is such a shame @gennepher. I do hope that you find places to go where the disabled toilets are safe to use.Fbg 6.8
