What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you for the good wishes for our granddaughter. Last report was that she needed a little more oxygen and JKP and #1 son were crossing Cambs to collect then take her and her dad clothes and essentials. Hopefully they are taking the main roads not our usual Fen road route with huge sugar beet harvesting machines and 50 foot drains. Has your water problem been resolved?

Good afternoon @gennepher. With regard to the letter would it be worth contacting your usual Health Centre for more information or maybe asking them to contact the relevant department for you? I hope it gets clarified for you soon. Best wishes

Yes, it makes a huge difference @gennepher. I do a lot of twisting and turning to correct class members when they are on their mats and had been so careful not to twist the sprained ankle last week - until the Friday classes. I won't make that mistake again. It spasmed so painfully I couldn't put any weight on the foot.

Another quick visit. Sorry I've not done the reading of posts and such like.
6.2 on the Richter scale this a.m.
Been painting and the usual, preparation for the big switch on next week!
As usual doing too much. But what can one do? (Sounding posh there?)

#7 asked me yesterday while having a conversation about what sort of presents she wanted, and what was appropriate for a young lady (8). She asked the question of my age.
Then on hearing it, #7 exclaimed that I am older than her teacher.
Which I acknowledged.
And then said. You are very old.
I know, I replied.
You must be the oldest one, I have ever known...
Thanks, so much...
Which war did your dad fight in? #7 enquired.
World War two..
Wow! #7 with wonder. That must be hundreds of years ago.
I had to laugh.

I will go in and see if they can do something @dogslife
Thanks

That's children for you.

A year and a half ago, my cleaner asked me what age Neil was. 56 at the time. "He's the same age as my mother". She could hardly believe me. That makes me feel very old.

Cat Jade is watching the pigeon again...
No badgers or foxes are visiting in the night yet during this cold spell even though it has got warmer now. I do hope they're all alright. But if I recall it was a few days after a cold spell previously before they came back in the garden again. And I was a bit worried then.

Have a good the rest of the day...

@Lamont D
You could try bicarbonate of soda drops for your ear, I know they can be very effective if the problem is a build up of wax.
my mum would use bicarbonate of soda for all sorts of domestic and with stomach issues.
but I have never heard of it for your ears.
it ain't wax tho.
thanks @SlimLizzy.

Thank you for sharing the video and creative. Jade just looks on as that pigeon struts its stuff, no attempt to have it for dinner.

Best wishes for your granddaughter.
Hope she is responding to treatment.
Despite the total chaos within the NHS, hospital is the best place for her.
If it is anything like the children's hospital in Liverpool (Alder Hey) Then she is in great hands.
My best wishes mate @ianpspurs.

And just to add, on a footie topic, what a great win yesterday.

Thanks on both counts mate. She is likely to remain there tonight but as you say, she is in the best place. Take care.

6.3 this morning.
Off to Norwich for classes. Thank goodness that the storm has passed.
We got off lightly here in Norfolk.

Yesterday was a lovely relaxing day. We had lobster as a special treat for dinner. Today is a good day also with a nice long break between classes.

But if I recall rightly, it was a good few days after a cold spell previously before they came back in the garden again. And I was a bit worried back then. I am bit more worried this time, but I have no way of finding out...

I have just checked out with a fellow You Tuber and her badgers have appeared in her garden every day during the snow and ice...

Got stuff to sort out...

Good morning from L.A which is absolutely not the New Jerusalem nor the setting for one of those dystopian/post apocalyptic films I so hate. I don't know my fbg. I am, though, blessed to be able to choose the type and brand of tea I want, feed our dogs particular food, cod liver oil and free range eggs, sit here with them in the warm, drinking said tea, listening to my morning playlist. Little things mean a lot (stripped back, non Axa Ad version - *lyrics at the bottom) more so for me in my present context but especially the mystery of my faith. None of the foregoing blessings (or trials) will last forever, that's both just the crack in everything and where the light comes in. @jjraak I think that was the gist of your PM reply. People being people tend to be all Carter family. (Carried that song in my head 50+ years) Meanwhile, our Granddaughter is looking better overnight, thank you all so much for the good wishes, so she may be discharged later but dad is feeling the worse for wear and in need of decent food. Cue JKP taking on another Mamma Bear mission. @septua thanks for the Compline information yesterday, I downloaded it to listen later. @Krystyna23040 good news on the break between classes and the lobster which made me think of the attached - in a very, very good way. @gennepher thanks for the creative and video. Pigeon is the nickname of the Spurs player Richarlison (yours is fit far more often and didn't cost £60 million) This post made sense as it left me, can't say how it will travel though - no how did we do questionnaire for y'all though. Enjoy Monday your way, I'mma seeing mine as now we see darkly through a glass. Much like Keto "swaps" deep down there's no disguising the truth. *Lyrics

Hi @jamesbrook23
Welcome to this thread!
It was a hard day. I would normally choose to take it easier, but sometimes, needs must!
Sunday was more relaxing thank you...
I hope your day is treating you well.
