There's a thought!Hugs for both yourself and Neil: good news on his timely return with some shopping. There seems to be some guilt regarding feeling the back pain, why? We have a resident expert on almost all things reduced movement and physiology related but isn't there such a concept as referred pain (and injury)? Might not "powering through" leg pain make back pain worse? Them's my onions anyhow. Take care and give those feelings of guilt the old Spanish Archer today, preferably forever.
Pain in the back(side) or lower back is a central hub for the blood arteries and nervous system.Neil got home, safe and sound, about 20.30 yesterday. He'd even managed to do some shopping in Inverness on the way home. However, he was feeling awful after taking a different kind of medication to clear his bowel before the procedure - something in it which he reacted to. He's still feeling a bit off this morning but he can just relax today and get over it.

About to take my 2nd lot of painkillers to try to get my back pain under control. Why is it that I can cope pretty well with my leg pain but the back pain seems almost unbearable? Odd that. I don't feel that the back pain is any worse than the legs, although not the same kind of pain. I suppose that makes the difference.
I went to school with the daughter of a nature cure practitioner and his advice for curing a headache was to put a rubber band, tightly around a finger. Same principle.Pain in the back(side) or lower back is a central hub for the blood arteries and nervous system.
I have similar in my neck which is a pain in the ....!
The pain can be more prominent in such areas and is felt more in those areas.
The story of how acupuncture came about.
A soldier was hit with many arrows and he told the doctor, that one or two or more, he didn't feel until touched.
I have witnessed Mrs L, be in pain with her back, couldn't stand straight, and has banged her knee on a coffee table. The pain more of less transferred to the knee, and the back was ignored she limped, with a straight back!
You have a headache, you bang your hand, headache goes but your hand hurts!
Sounds as though you are home and having the time of your life Alfred. As Churchill may or may not have said, keep bu****ing on. Please pass on my/our sympathy to Mrs A J.Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.
Blood sugars this morning were 5.0
Yesterday’s hospital session was a good one with the hospital reinstating all my stopped medication taking into account the results from the mornings blood tests, effecient or what? Follow up tests are planned for next week.
Now here’s the contentious bit.
Mrs J likes her Christmas decorations especially if they are illuminated. As me, me’s and myself are not able to assist, read that as supervised, during her foraging expeditions, Mrs J is free to browse, chat and whatever Mrs J wants. Are you getting a clearer picture?
Mrs J returned from her foraging / hunting expedition this morning, proudly showing me, me’s and myself her latest acquisition, illuminated of course for the mantelpiece which is already groaning under the weight and photon bombardment of her existing ornaments. Words have been said, and I now know my place!
Mrs J has retired to the dining room to work on her latest masterpiece and has already been claimed by one of her fiends. This particular artwork is not to my taste, but art in whatever form is subjective, something to remember when offering opinions….by me!
It is now time to go and complete my allotted tasks.
Stay safe all.
pain is subjective and can vary depending upon the situation. Introducing a second pain which may be perceived as greater than the first activates something called Conditioned Pain Modulation which inhibits the original pain. If it doesn’t work it may result in a chronic pain disorder.I went to school with the daughter of a nature cure practitioner and his advice for curing a headache was to put a rubber band, tightly around a finger. Same principle.
That is really interesting @Lamont D . I also have loads of allergies. I also had horrid IBS for years and years. As you know, I have this weird condition, it is all to do with how my body can't process certain foods.
Since I was young, my battle with finding how I can be healthy, without feeling weird, vomiting, crazy itching, stomach cramps and a lot more.
There is in the modern diet, many, many, supposedly safe, supposedly healthy food, that isn't.
Allergies for instance. So many.....
Then there is the food lables, a lot of ingredients in bold. .......
And industrial additives.......
And.......
But, one thing I have learnt, is that, the world could not feed itself, if the food giants stopped producing **** food. If the FDA or EU adopted more stringent rules on food standards. The cost would skyrocket. Cos there would not be enough fresh food.
Though I do believe, there is more **** now, then there ever has been. You just have to be aware of it.
Also, the numbers of children, being understood to have food issues is also on the increase.
I'm certain there are many among us, that suffer from CPM, or a chronic pain disorder, from the suffering of our loved ones.pain is subjective and can vary depending upon the situation. Introducing a second pain which may be perceived as greater than the first activates something called Conditioned Pain Modulation which inhibits the original pain. If it doesn’t work it may result in a chronic pain disorder.
And instead of planting more fresh food, the new fields of crops, are the ones that go into our food, that we know are definitely not good for a large proportion of the population. That is really interesting @Lamont D . I also have loads of allergies. I also had horrid IBS for years and years.
Since eating this way the IBS completely disappeared and my allergies are less problematic.
I do agree that there is more **** now, than there ever has been
Really good that MrSlim is back home. Hopefully you will find the perfect home very soon.12.12

Kiki does not approve of her new bedding and indicated this by throwing it on the floor. Choosing to sleep on the hard chair rather than the new fleecy cushion.
MrSlim has been hard at work fixing the glass door back into place. A very tricky job involving special screws and a small steel plate. Now it just needs an invisible repair to the plaster surrounding the fault. Today he will replace the kitchen sink tap. It was dripping when the purchasers came and manageable, but it is far worse now, releasing a stream of water from unauthorised and unexpected places which then manage to ooze into the undersink cupboard. A two litre container was dangerously full when I arrived back after five days away.
We viewed the huge house MrSlim has been hankering after yesterday. It's in far better condition than either of enormous wrecks he had me check out previously.
Why does he always fancy the very large houses?
This house has double glazing and central heating - which needs a service at the very least and a new boiler at worst. There is nothing in the kitchen, except the sink and an open fireplace. MrSlims reaction? Oh good, an indoor BBQ! Many of the rooms have beautiful unused fireplaces.
It's been empty over a year and has obviously got damp as a result, but MrSlim is confident he can sort it out with more insulation.
Sadly the walled garden is north facing.
With so many tall buildings surrounding it am wondering if it gets any sun at all in winter. The main difficulty for me is the size. We are supposed to be downsizing. Currently we have a little over 135m2 living space.
This house is over 200m2. Ten rooms.
Ridiculous for two people.
BUT
Good points:
No major work needed, except possibly the roof. There was some storm damage, a few slates off. Which the agent assures us will be fixed by the current owners. Due to the style of the house, the surface area of the roof is relatively small. Due to the height of the roof, over three stories, it would have to be done by professionals, thankfully MrSlim agrees. We can factor this cost into the offer, if we make one.
We both like the town it is in, although we noticed yesterday there is more passing traffic than expected. This town is much nearer our best friends. Right in the centre of town, shops, pharmacies, bank and restaurants walking distance.
The rooms are generously sized and nicely proportioned. MrSlim thinks he can keep his tools in the cellar, there is a garage, which needs a new door, around the corner.
There is another possible house, in a different town, slightly further away from our friends. But a much more practical size and condition, for very little extra money. So MrSlim has sent a viewing request for that one as well. I was told it there were negotiations in progress and not offered a viewing, maybe I should have insisted? The house still shows as available. Am wondering if this is an agent trying to make me think there is competition and make a hasty offer? Have had this comnent several times from agents which makes this scenario seem more likely and so far not seen any of those houses marked as under offer. Or perhaps the website has simply not been updated? We will see what response MrSlim gets.
Meanwhile there is storm damage to clear up here.
It is such a relief to have MrSlim home.
Yes, you are right @ianpspurs. Our bodies are interconnected through myofacial chains. It is so complex.Hugs for both yourself and Neil: good news on his timely return with some shopping. Yes, that is so true. I was just 21 and had a splitting headache. I was barefoot and unfortunately caught my little for and broke it.You have a headache, you bang your hand, headache goes but your hand hurts!
in life, as in sport, you work on your weakness, to help with recovery.Yes, you are right @ianpspurs. Our bodies are interconnected through myofacial chains. It is so complex.
How we use our feet and legs can even cause problems as high as our neck and shoulders.
No one part of the body works in isolation.
Love the art bit @dunelm and the song. It is now going round and round in my head.. Art bit - we need more housing Angela, “with a pink hotel, a boutique, and a swinging hot spot”.
