What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

It is a very nice scarf actually, but I don't wear it because it irritates my neck so I use it for throwing over things to keep them hidden.

Yes because my eyes are so dry because of sjogrens, I need to rub my eyes in the morning to open them. So that is on my list of questions now for the nurse after theatre or whoever gives me information. She wouldn't know it was as bad as it was. She probably think. Oh you can. Just whatever you can do.

Actually I do have a sleep mask. I. When I go to the bathroom in the night I just lift it up to my forehead and I put it down when I go to back to bed again, But last night I completely forgot to put it down again after I'd visited the bathroom.

I actually have some good news. Not over the accommodation yet. But couple of hours ago I got a text from the hospital to say my operation would be at a later time than they had initially suggested and it was with a Chinese doctor. The previous cataract operation was with boss man, the man who was very rude to me and kept shouting at me at my last but one visit, and just treating me as though I was stupid. And I did put a concern complaint over him. .. And so I was a bit terrified of being operated on by bossman. Took me ages going through all the hoops again and with Dr doctor... and all the security...But I got there and I now have operation confirmed...

So now I'm very happy with this new choice of cataract surgeon.

It is just up to son now to sort this accommodation.

Happy Skippy dance from me...

Edit.. if there are any strange mistakes on here blame spell check it changed it as I pressed post...

@Annb hug for feeling shaky and the obvious impact of whatever ailment is at the root of that. @JohnEGreen a very wise choice to eschew the sunbathing today. You both sound ideal candidates for the 2022 word of the year (which may well be the apotheosis of an oxymoron for LC Keto devotees) I think we originally called that a duvet/sofa/cheat day or just being a student. Peace be with you both

BG was 9.3 at 03.20. Something to do with the way I've been feeling recently - no other reason I can think of. Still very shaky and moving around pushes my heart rate up ridiculously so makes me feel rather "off".
Sometimes when I feel shaky and my heart rate is weird I need an electrolyte drink. The one I chose unfortunately had quite high levels of sugar, so not ideal, but might be worth a try.

What a smasher of a kaleidoscope. No idea about eye rubbing. I use viscotears which seem to work better than some alternatives. Only thing I can think of is to sleep wearing mittens. Hope the hotel dates get sorted.

Thank you @ianpspurs. Always an acquired taste Jacques Brel but I quite like this version in English. Granddaughter at a ballet show - you have to be there.

Am I goblin-like? Not sure I want to be. Enforced lazy days aren't what I enjoy but have to put up with.

I have locked up for the night and got into bed. But I've got a feeling I've locked Midnight out. I try to keep him in.
But something last night I am assuming, perhaps the badge has opened up some of my bin bags of just general rubbish. There's one Thursday when we didn't get the bin men over the Christmas period, and so I put the stuff that that wouldn't be interested in in three bin bags and barricaded them against the wall with a metal fireguard.
I just found two of them had been opened, and the contents scattered. I have just used the last bit of energy, I did not have left for the day to sort that out.

I thought I saw Midnight come in, but obviously I did not...

I need a long nap, finish my cuppa tea and just sleep a bit... then I willgo and look for that errant cat.

Night night...I might be awake in a few hours

8.3 again this morning. Up in the 12's most of yesterday, so I suppose not too bad. I wouldn't mind if I had eaten anything much, but I didn't. It's whatever this thing is that's wrong with me, I guess. Most of the pain of that has subsided again, but still the odd heart fluttery bit going on. Must try to get a result from tests tomorrow when the Health Centre opens.

Feeling very cold but I checked and Neil hadn't turned the heating down, which I had suspected. Just me, I guess. Extra layers needed.

Good morning everyone on a deliciously quiet start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.7 this a.m. Yesterday chugged along; veterans breakfast club, bought three sourdough boules - now sliced, individually packed and into the freezer, 36 slices. Kimchi bought of course and then a pleasant walk, arriving home like triumphant hunter gatherers.
Art bit - gloomy woods.
The Girl In The Bubble just waking up so I must off for breakfast duties which will of course include koffy for myself.

6.4 this morning.
Just relaxing with a coffee - Bonnie is back in her crate asleep.

Today will be a relaxing day. Bonnie is starting her puppy classes at our local vet on Tuesday evening. Mr K is taking her as I am teaching, but I will be able to attend the class in half term.

We are going to write down things we need advice on so we don't forget to ask the dog trainer.

Gloomy woods is what it looks like here...
Enjoy that coffee @dunelm
