What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 8.9

Stress I suppose. I'm being good with what I eat.

The accommodation is still on a merry-go-round sending me confirmation of the old dates, and not updating to the new dates, and me getting son to ring again. Son rings back, it's okay. It's on the system with the new dates, and then I get another confirmation via message and email of the old dates. Again, son rings again, it's okay it's on the system They are sending you a new email and a new message confirming this. New message and new email confirms the old dates again and no mention written anywhere of the new dates...

Here is creative...my bedroom curtains...in the Mirrorgraph app...

I think it's time for a long nap.

Take care. Have a good day.

I imagine the problem is the human interface with AI. Not sure how they will manage to sort it out for you, but really hope they do and stop causing you all this stress.

Love the colours in your bedroom curtains - my favourite colours.

Thank you @Annb
I have had orange curtains for years!
I really do hope they sort that booking out...

Good day everyone. @dunelm thank you for sharing the art. @gennepher hug for the accommodation issue and thank you for sharing the Mirrorgraph creative. @Annb sincere apologies if you felt I was implying you are a Gobblin. @JohnEGreen I hope your bg level is now higher. Cricket to watch, seque into rugby then football. In the past a sleep then the Superbowl but not now sadly. Best wishes for a pleasant valley Sunday.

13.4 this morning! I suppose that's what eating out, drinking and having late night hotel sandwiches does. Enjoyed The Pub Landlord last night, glad I wasn't in the "splash zone". I want to go out-out more often!

My foot is sore from walking, and I seem to have developed a rash on top of the same foot. A lovely pharmacist has given me some hydrocortisone cream, but also suggested I seek advice from GP. She's probably right as it's spread a little since first thing. Need to keep an eye on it.

Anyway, feet up now and watching the rugby. Then it will be a nap and dinner before the Superbowl (hubs watches it, I will probably sleep through it!).

Hope everyone's having a peaceful Sunday.

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.

Blood sugars this morning were a carefully crafted 7.9 and not a surprise.

Mrs J and me, me’s and myself went into Mordor ( London ) yesterday. No Orcs were harmed, but me, me’s and myself drove the jam jar, this is motorcyclists slang for a car.
Lots of horns were sounded and at one point a cabby sounded his horn and swiftly demonstrated his observation skills by moving into free lane, such a considerate cabby. Most this happened on the A406, which passed the Ace café, the spiritual home of all old cafe racers and also on the A5, the infamous Edgeware road. When we reached our destination I did the gentlemanly thing of refusing to park the jam jar, letting Mrs J find a parking space and park the car. The parking space seemed to be several several continents away from our destination.
This caused a slight dilemma, did I wait for tectonic plate movement to carry me to our destination or use my legs and walk to our hosts abode.

It is now late on Sunday afternoon and not a favourite day / date in Tilehurst Towers, but much earlier this morning when dawn was just breaking I heard the birds performing their morning chorus, lifting my thoughts and realising that spring is on its way.

Now it time to depart to different realities and dimensions.

Lovely Mirrorgraph @gennepher. You definitely deserve a nap.

10.3 this morning, which is lower than I was anticipated, but still slightly above target.

I'm supposed to be in the office today, but need to go and make a GP appointment (easier to go in person than try to ring at 8.30). Hope they can find something early on (unlikely in reality). Will then have to negotiate with boss about office v home, depending on time of appointment

Rugby yesterday was predictable, but still disappointing. I napped through the middle hour, shortly after Darcy Graham was stretchered off. The Superbowl was something else - I slept through the first half, but then was woken by my bladder just as Kendrick Lamar was starting. Couldn't believe that the Chiefs had been shut out, I had to watch! I'll admit I dozed, as American Football is too stop-start for me, but hubby was awake again and watching, wishing he'd had a small bet on the Eagles. You wouldn't expect the reigning champions not to score until the 4th quarter. It's a bit like Plymouth Argyle knocking Liverpool out of the FA Cup. It's been a good weekend for the greens!

Oh well, better get on with the day... Would much prefer to stay in bed!

Very dark and dull outside, not even worth opening the curtains. Weather app says it's like this all week.

Creative... I was awake in the night and so I took another photo of the side of my jar of handcream which looked a nice woodland scene last time I tried it. This time it came up most sinister, the light was not as bright behind it this time. Played with it a bit in Snapseed., and this is what you get...

Have your best kind of day...

I think it's naptime...

Still waiting for confirmation of new accommodation dates...

I just frightened the poor cat who was sitting on my lap.
I screamed

YES

Finally, confirmation came through from the accommodation of the new dates and I've now got it in writing....

I was thinking the other day, that modern life in these times, - the computer and Internet Age and artificial intelligence Age, and inaccessible options, is more of a test of constant endurance.

We still had all the same problems years ago before the computer/internet Age, but everything was more accessible then, and you could always/usually find a real person to deal with you. We did complain then! There was not the inaccessible that we have now.

@Madfarmerswife for example mentions earlier, problems with getting a doctor's appointment, she did not say, but many people cannot get through on the telephone to make an appointment at the doctors. And it is easier to actually go in.

I have always gone in to sort out an issue because I'm deaf and I can't hear on the phone, but I get told off every time, you've got to telephone, you have to telephone, some receptionists have been very rude to me and no amount of explaining can get them to understand I cannot hear on the telephone. Go home and telephone I have been told. But you sent me a no reply text to make a phone call over this issue (whatever it was) I tell them, i'm sorry but I cannot comply because I cannot hear over the telephone so that's why I have just come in. Everything has to be done over the telephone the receptionists still tell me.

Obviously, I just stand there until they agreed to deal with me....

Down in the caves

Morning all on a gey, chilly February Monday here and much of the UK I imagine. @gennepher marvellous news on the accommodation which hopefully makes it easier to be in the best frame of mind for the big day. Thank you for sharing the atmospheric creative. @Peanut234 I hope you managed that sleep. @Krystyna23040 good news on the A47 roadworks being finished on time. @Madfarmerswife I hope you can manage to secure and appointment and your work arrangements make life manageable. Good sporting knowledge. I recorded the Superbowl and watched it this morning - easy to condense that way. I'm always amused by the brotherly shove. So much better than rolling maul. E_A_G_L_E_S.. That and England winning the rugby on Saturday helped make up for England CC being hammered in Cuttack and another weak Spurs display Two projects that leave a lot to be desired. Make the best you can of Monday.

@gennepher yes, it is easier to go in if possible. The queue in person is about 8 people. It takes up to 50 attempts to get through on the phone, to then be number 10 in the queue, to get through and be told no appointments left for today. I got one at 2.10.
I have been told at my previous surgery that I had to ring. I stood in the waiting room, called on my mobile, made eye contact with the receptionist the whole time. Then said, on my way out "Well, wasn't THAT a productive use of time and resources.". The doctor told me off later for being rude to the receptionist, but they also changed the system (but didn't publicise the fact!).
They don't make accessibility easy though, they don't understand others' needs. Being deaf is one such example. My eldest son is autistic and really struggles on the phone, but doesn't mind chat bots.

@Krystyna23040 pleased to hear about the A47. The roads in Norfolk can be very busy, especially as it's half term in some places already. We always used to go early and meander round the coast from King's Lynn to Great Yarmouth as we weren't in a hurry, and actually it was scarcely much longer than the A47 with queues!

I'm working from home, also dealing with gas engineer servicing boilers.
