Left eye first
Sky is cyan and yellow ochre
Tree, a willow, is in yellow ochre, primary yellow, and magenta.
The vegetation at the base of the tree is phtalo green, and the yellow to the left of it is yellow ochre. But that is a bush behind the phtalo green. But there appears to be a lack of depth perception here. I had a look around with my left eye, and generally there was a lack of depth perception anyway. I think this is always been so because in painting I've always found it problematic to make things appear behind each other.

The right new cataract eye. Sky is cyan and neutral tint. The same tree trunk as in the left eye painting is a pale magenta, almost white. This appears to happen only when the sun is shining. For the same bush in front of the tree, this is now sap green with the right eye. And primary yellow for the bush on the left of the sap green bush, which definitely looks behind the sap green bush. I had a look around with just my right new cataract eye, and there was definitely a depth perception with my new cataract eye. It was very markedly so.

In this case looking through both eyes together, I noticed that the right new cataract eye, I am not sure quite how to explain this, takes over the depth perception for both eyes.

My parcel came in the post office/morrisons just after it got dark, and I did not fancy going out in the morning, I wanted a couple of days at home, so I went to collect the parcel.

This is the first time I have driven in the dark since I have the new cataract right eye. I was very aware of the headlights of the cars. I am not saying in a bad way, but I was very aware of all different types of headlights on the cars. I know I was very aware of the differences in the two headlight of the cars. Obviously, as I'm driving, I am not going to do shut one eye and then shut the other eye. I would say about half the cars had their headlights properly adjusted. And the other half of the cars had either faulty headlights, or badly adjusted headlights (I was so precisely aware of the difference between the two headlights on a car that obviously had badly adjusted headlights, I would say that about a quarter of all the cars I saw had very badly adjusted headlights), or they had the fog lights on, or they had them on full beam when it was not necessary. I had seen all this before, but not to this absolutely precise degree since having the right cataract eye done.

I'm ok. (Ish) I am still around but as things are fluidic around here.
I have to spend more of my time in the day being with Mrs L.
Babysitting both Mrs L and the grandkids nearly everyday.
It has been a really stressful time for both of us.
Today, was her brain scan to see if there are markers for Alzheimer's etc.
Her bloods were taken last Friday, again for the same reason.
Her downward trend of her mental state.
Mrs L has now admitted seeing things, never mind what Mrs L says and believes.
Over the last few weeks, more understanding of what is deep in her conscious, is coming less murky.
We have a wonderful mental nurse that Mrs L is comfortable with.
And have been told that the house is not suitable for Mrs L.
We now have more assistance appliances, one upstairs and one downstairs.
And a possibility of a wheelchair, and it goes on.
Paula from the council has been attentively supportive.
Eldest has appointment in March, Daughter is losing her car because it's a right off, from the crash she had about Six weeks ago. The ratbag is now trained. But still runs us ragged.
DiL is in cruise mode, cos her dad has pneumonia, and her man is comfortable but needing 24 hours care.
not good.
Too many to mention.
Ever day is a busy day.
I did not think that closing in on my 70th. I would be running around, after Mrs L the way I am.
I'm defo not looking for sympathy or such. I think it goes with the territory.
Anyways shipmates, must close. The time for bed ritual should be starting soon.

I do hope you lot are really good, just haven't the time.

Which with all the stress etc. Is not to bad.
Some good news, Mrs L latest hba1c is down to 49 from 63. So I must be feeding her right (it's the glicizide)

When I was a pram owner when my kids were littles, I would just push the pram through.....

I have had it when using my mobility scooter at a drop curb to cross the side road, my scooter won't go down a curb edge, so I had to go back a long way going into the main road, and come back on the main road to where the drop edge was under the other side, but by this time there was another van on it, and I had to go even further up to the main traffic lights, to the next drop edge to get back on the pavement. But what was upsetting was all the traffic was beeping me for being on the main road and people were opening their windows and shouting naughty words at me for being on the main road. This was about five years ago and it upset me badly and I have never used the scooter again, unless I am in a retail park.

HRV well below normal range, said it was far outside its normal range. And says my body is out of balance and I need to plan a quieter day today...
I knew that yesterday, but I had that four footed beastie long tailed beastie hole to fill.
My hand tremors were back, so now I realise that must be when I do a hard job to me, with my hands and arms.
No sympathy needed, it was a job that had to be done, and I still have to finish it.
I am going to finish the outside now, with the parcel I picked up from the post office yesterday.
And then I will take it easy today.
It will take at least a couple of days to recover.

I will do the creative later.....

Good morning everyone on a so far exquisitely quiet start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.9 this a.m.
Half term has been in full swing for a week now for the Birmingham trio but for children here it has just begun so I expect that we will be enjoying the company of The Girl In The Bubble a bit more over then next coupe of weeks.
The wind has dropped and people are dancing round totems with feathers in their hair and blowing whistles. Don’t think that the sun is paying much attention. Probably the same for all variants of this sort of activity.
Walk - I think that’s on the cards for today. Paracetamol may be involved as knees, hips and back are whining like toddlers at bed time.
ASDA are doing their 25% off six bottle deal again. I ought to go and stock up.
Art bit - it just turned out that way.
Hope your aches, pains, daily challenges and pavement parking navigations do not deter. I best make koffy and get on with the day.

6.9 this morning.

I actually managed to do some training yesterday. Really pleased that I finally sorted out how to access the training on my kindle fire tablet. Not sure why I didn't do this years ago.

It is so nice to relax back in my recliner chair in the conservatory with the Kindle and a coffee - rather than do the training on the PC in the office. It actually doesn't feel like work.

Mr K had to relocate a rhododendron from its pot to the raised bed this morning. Bonnie had got too interested in it. Now all our plants are protected by the iron railing around the raised bed. It actually looks good right in the centre of the bed.

Well I actually got to see the nurse yesterday who while changing the dressing had a quick poke around and concurred with the HCA that there is some form of hard structure at the bottom of the wound either bone or cartilage unsure which have an appointment with tissue viability nurse on Monday new plan in the brewing it seems I did suggest polly filler but she did not seem too keen on that my next suggestion was a hot iron to cauterise the wound this also was rejected so that’s me run out of ideas.

Creative will be a kaleidoscope today.
No time to do a painting...
The sorting of the doorstep is going to take all day because I've decided to do more protection on it against the four legged long tail beasties.

How did you do the path...scrape it out, masking fluid, or just leave that bit of white while you were painting...

Good Saturday afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.

My blood sugars this morning were in the mid 5’s, I can’t remember. Please put that down to my age, 70+ a lot of months.

Mrs J and myself did something we rarely do, last night, we went out for a meal with friends to a steakhouse, none of us ate the steak. I had belly pork and Mrs J had chicken. Surprisingly our meals were excellent, as this steakhouse has a terrible reputation, the venue was not our choice, but we would go back now.

Later today we have family coming round for dinner, homemade steak and mushroom pie with roast vegetables and a rich gravy.
Tomorrows meal will probably be stale bread and past it’s sell buy date ( ??? ) water. If I don’t behave when the family are round.
At my age it’s my right to behave in a manner that brings smiles and giggles to the grandchildren’s faces and their parents, our children to throw up their arms in despair.

If I survive the telling off’s, I’ll be back tomorrow.

further to add.
babysitting this afternoon and despite Mrs L being the most impatient patient.
The ratbag #8 did her proud today, whilst outside on the footie pitches, I only turned my back on him grrrrr! For about five minutes and because #7 was picking daisys, #8 decided my first blooms to deadhead them.
a couple of daffs and some other that are pink and red. Gutted more than losing the footie this afternoon.
Put a smile on Mrs L 's face.

That is all folks.

Weather report overdue.
Beautiful skies all day and pleasently warm.
No meaningful rain for a few weeks.
Venus is beatiful this evening, waiting for Mars later.
The sky is amazing towards the South East to West.
Think my spring bulbs are ahead this early in the year.

It is so clear here, now that Venus has gone. The constellations are standing out very bright.
I wouldn't be happy with any badgers. Mind you, we have a cat scraping where I have repaired under the bushes to give a better growth. I have invited next doors grumpy dog to do his utmost into disuading the neighbours push to avoid my growth.
