A beautiful peaceful calming willow tree @dunelmGood morning everyone from Windermere.
5.7 this a.m.
Spent the afternoon wandering round this little town after first having lunch in the smallest pub in The Lakes - dissapointingly not in a phone box. Then an early evening stroll along part of the shoreline amassing over 6 miles by days end.
Today is Ambleside - we have a property to visit that we stayed in a few years ago and may be booking for next years family weekend. So, probably an amble round Ambleside and then back here as there is a short walk up through the woods for what could be a good view over the lake if the weather is right.
Art bit - a quick sketch looking at the far side of the lake whilst hiding behind some trees.
Enjoy your day, I am enjoying a freshly made cafetière of koffy.
Thankyou. I needed that.
I do agree that most problems with dogs are caused by lack of training of the owner @Lamont DI think in most cases of dogs biting, but not all.
It is the lack of training of the owner, and then the dog. You see it everyday on the usual dog walk routes.
A well trained dog would be only playing.
You would certainly not like a dog to grip or lock their jaw on.
But as I have advised my neighbour to see a vet for the dogs behaviour before deciding. It is their choice, not mine. But sometimes even if was play, some breeds get the event of blood, then there is no coming back from that.
These things happen!
Ouch!
Hope you enjoy your amble around Ambleside @dunelmGood morning everyone from Windermere.

Good afternoon @lindisfelAlerdale bin collection
I have to agree that in the case of Archie and Banksie, that was the case. Alistair and DIL did take them to dog training classes, but really didn't have the time, or the strength to spend training them outwith the classes. Banksie, on his own, would have been fine, but Archie, being still a pup, although very big, was excitable and playful. In the house he was fine, but Hugo's barking at the stranger passing by the house, excited him too much. The fence was no obstacle. He didn't get a second chance.I do agree that most problems with dogs are caused by lack of training of the owner @Lamont D
No one can make changes on my Ancestry or Find My Past or My Heritage sites unless I give them permission to do so. But on Family Search anyone can change the careful research I have done, basically saying I have got it wrong and alter it completely, when I know my details are right because I have the documentation and first hand knowledge. I have given up with family search.5.1 at 04.00 today. Still in the 5's. Trying to keep carbs as low as possible again, while eating mainly veg just to try to get my weight back under control without doing too much harm to my kidneys.
I did a lot of work on my Find My Past family tree again yesterday, and today - it has all disappeared! All the work I did was reinstating what had disappeared before so I did make screen shots this time but, is it worth doing it all again I wonder. If I don't, I won't get back any further, if I do it may all be a wasted effort. I've gone off the other 2 big family history sites because people seem to keep making changes to my work, which I can't then delete and reinstate my own. Grrrhh!
Good afternoon @gennepher. I keep meaning to post again but I have problems still.Good afternoon @lindisfel
Not sure how to do that, Gennepher but I'll have a look and see. I also have so many lists of names and information with it all on, but can't seem to find the relevant ones. Not sure, now, that I did make a list of the most interesting line I've found recently. Beginning to doubt myself. Did I dream it? I don't think so. I was a bit dozey yesterday but not that bad.No one can make changes on my Ancestry or Find My Past or My Heritage sites unless I give them permission to do so. Check your settings if you can @Annb
The other thing I do is to have all my family trees private, bar one - the main one. But I have a duplicate private copy of it.
This is extra work, and gives me a headache sometimes.
And when someone asks if they can see my private tree, I say hang on, but what I do is make a duplicate copy, and make that public so they can easily access it, because this granting permission's thing for them to view it was also a headache.
Any help @Annb
I made mistakes in the first place trying to do my suggestions, but I figured it out in the end.Not sure how to do that, Gennepher but I'll have a look and see.
