What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

6.6 this morning.
Thank goodness that this week is a much quieter week than last week.

Yesterday part of Bonnie's training really paid off. Somehow some old solar lights had ended up in the laurel hedge - they had probably been there years.

Yesterday Bonnie found one and Mr K could not catch her as she raced around the garden with it.

Then he had a brainwave. Part of her training is to blow a dog whistle 5 times to signal her meal is ready. This is so the whistle can be used for recall when she is older.

So he rushed into the house and blew the whistle and she immediately dropped the solar light and ran into the house like a rocket. Of course he had to give her some food immediately.

She then went out and found the second solar light in the hedge. The whistle worked like magic again.

11.0 this morning. Difficult day with pain, but have gained a referral for an MRI to figure it out, so that was a shock. I was expecting to have to fight for it, but it was an immediate yes, which was spooky.
Nutritionist tomorrow so that might be helpful. Physio too.
I have just clicked that all my napping/fatigue (well at least some) could be due to joint inflammation increasing. MRI should give more clarity.

Hug for the pain.
But a win for the easy access to the MRI scan.

Hope it offers some clarity & a solution or two .

Ditto. However, can't even get to see a doctor. Phoned the surgery though and asked the receptionist to ask a doctor for a more powerful pain killer. We'll see what comes of that. Left hand is completely useless at present and right hand isn't that great either. Stronger meds might help the rest of the pains as well.

Just told Neil that I'll need help with getting shoes and socks on tomorrow at the very least, plus extra help getting in to see the nurse. He has offered to try to make food for me. At present I still have some soup to keep me going, so after that we'll see.

Have attempted to upload a bunch of flowers. Not sure if it has worked, but hope you feel some relief soon.

If it helps, I usually screenshot the picture I want to post .

Usually it's much smaller as a screenshot & fits inside forum rules for image size.

I couldn't reduce your pic of the flowers, so this was the best I could do to show what's possible .

Lovely flowers btw

Thanks for the pic @jjraak.

FBG 11.6 this morning.

Nutritionist appointment went well I think. I am in a bit of shock. We are going to go down the path of considering an insulin pump. Though the plan will need to be approved by the higher ups.
I'm doing all the right things, carb counting correctly etc but there are quite a few things in my life that I cannot measure and 'carb count' for and the pump could manage for me.
Going through a bit of a grieving process, and will do a bit of research this afternoon.
She was very kind, but there were tears when she said that they can be life changing. I didn't realise how much I have been struggling.
It would be amazing to have relief from the high blood sugar symptoms. Let alone the peace of mind from lower numbers.
And on balance I will probably sleep better with good blood sugar numbers, even with a barnacle stuck to me.

Its times like this I wish I drank alcohol or even tea or coffee, I think I need a drink.

Fbg 6.9

People sketching again today. I went to the shops and I was a bit tired after and since I had my flask of tea with me I thought I'd have a cup of tea before I came home. Then I thought why didn't I do people sketching again? Sun was shining in the car so I was nice and warm. I got my phone out and I started doing some sketching on it. This is my first attempt in quite awhile...
The lady in the sketch seemed very tense, she wore black., her whole body seemed clenched and she took very small steps. Her friend was on the other side of her and I did not have time to draw her friend, but her friend was all bright colours, long flowing hair in the wind, colourful clothes, and her strides were really long.

Good night...it is close to midnight.... sweet dreams.

6.4 this morning.
Have decided to stick with the supliments I haven been prescribed and live with the higher carb count at least for now as it may improve the healing of the wound though higher blood sugars may negate that and it has been decided for me that I should not resume my medication for the pulmonary fibrosis till the wound healing improves because of its effect on appetite.
At the surgery the nurse who was due to change my dressing next is unavailable as she is unwell as the other day her horse stood on her foot causing quite abit of damage her partner tried to pull the bourses leg of her but the horse suddenly raised its leg causing her partner to fall backward and hit their head on the concert causing a concussion so they both ended up at the A&E.

6.9 this morning. Have just finished the training in Aldi car park and am sitting in the car waiting for Mr K to finish the shopping so we can go for a coffee.

I am so lucky that this was a quiet week because so many people are emailing me to swap classes, book their holiday weeks and a million other reasons so it is so good to actually have time to do it.

194 years ago in 1831 my 2nd great grandfather Tom Green wrote down a very old Scottish fiddle tune transcribed for the Northumbrian small pipes the first time this song had been written down Adrian has found a recording of the song performed by Richard Bultler who held the same position as Tom I will try and link to it but has not worked so far
The song is called The Wild hills of Wannies

Sorry again. Just a nightmare time.
6.6 yesterday 6.5 this morning.

It is beautiful in the gardens and I can't do what is necessary, except relax in the sun.
Is this intentional?

Kitchen duties and laundry demand my attention.
I wish you all well.
