Is this it John?194 years ago in 1831 my 2nd great grandfather Tom Green wrote down a very old Scottish fiddle tune transcribed for the Northumbrian small pipes the first time this song had been written down Adrian has found a recording of the song performed by Richard Bultler who held the same position as Tom I will try and link to it but has not worked so far
The song is called The Wild hills of Wannies
Hope this is it. Perhaps try using share then pasting the link and/or save to playlist. Apologies if attached is mansplainingThanks yes that’s the song but have been trying to link to Richard Butler’s version from his album a Perfect Triangle it’s on UTube but the copy link not working for me.
I hope you don't hurt today because of the fall from the wind blowing you over @AnnbLeg day today plus BP and blood test. It took me all my time to get to the car and I felt as though I had climbed a mountain rather than waddled down a ramp. On the way back the wind had got up quite a lot and actually blew me over. Neil had to come and rescue me. Not the best of days. However, although my legs are still bad, my left hand is slightly better even though the wrist is hot and obviously inflamed.
Same here @JohnEGreenFbg 7.2 today.
Getting conflicting reports on the weather one minute it’s going to rain the next no rain today I supposed I’m going to have to take the unprecedented step and look out the window.
I hope the antibiotics have helped and that you get over it quickly.6.5 this morning.
Yesterday evening turned out more exciting than planned. Started getting mild symptoms of a UTI. Too late to get to the doctors so decided to go ahead with evening classes in Norwich.
At the start of the second class symptoms dramatically worsened and I apologised to the class that I could not continue with the class and would ring Mr K to take me to the drop in centre.
A class member insisted that she would take me as Dereham is a 30 minute drive from Norwich and she was worried I wouldn't get there in timr. So she drove me to the drop in centre and waited with me. Luckily I was seen quite quickly and when Mr K arrived he was able to rush me to the late night pharmacy before it closed to get the prescribed antibiotics.
Thank goodness that I got the antibiotics because l was passing a scary amount of blood. The nurse said that if I was still passing blood this afternoon I needed to go to.A&E immediately.
Thank goodness the antibiotics worked their magic and am a lot better today. Although feeling really tired the worst of the symptoms have gone.
hope your feeling better today.6.5 this morning.

Happy 70th tomorrow. Hope it is a good day for you and Mrs L. Hope, also that you will get spoiled - you deserve a little spoiling.hope your feeling better today.
are you aware that anti biotics come in a sugar free option.. That is what I have been on since last Friday.
you are so lucky to be treated so quickly.
a really good 6.1 this morning on the eve of being a septigenerian.
another visit from mental health nurse and a review of Mrs L meds is coming.
Mrs L admitted that all the bad things that Mrs L keeps thinking about. Has happened in the house we live now. And the majority of her good memory is back in her parents home, with her siblings, parents and our first couple of kids. Our marriage and other family memories.
Mrs L is supposedly having a siesta. So I've got my stupid foot up and posting.
Another round of getting a redressing appointment, had to go through 111 again. But I got one on Wednesday next. It's madness! No, not Suggs and Co.
Great band live.
It has rained here on and off. Very cloudy. But quite warm. (Except Mrs L who is freezing, Mrs L tells me!)
Have a great birthday eve of yours truly. Gammon is soaking. And I'm just wondering if I will get spoilt again?
I do not believe I will be posting tomorrow, for some reason.
How did I get this old?
Bless you all.
Have a lovely weekend, cos I intend to and so must you.
Best wishes.
I was wearing my big, thick, sheepskin coat bought for me by DIL about 5 years ago and hardly worn until this year. It is long (almost down to my ankles) and big to get around me. Wearing it, I look like a big, dark blue, sheepskin barrel, with little feet sticking out at the bottom. This year, I don't care if I look ridiculous - it's warm - and, it seems, bouncy. No harm done, thanks. I must have bounced.
The antibiotics are working like magic @Annb. I think that getting them so quickly after the severe symptoms started really helped. Today the worst of the symptoms have subsided.I hope the antibiotics have helped and that you get over it quickly.
