What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

10.9 at 03.20 today. Not surprising - I felt awful last night and thought I was going down with "something". Not so bad today but BG still far too high, despite no food so far. Tea, of course, always shoves my BG up and I've had 6 cups so far today.

The batteries ran out on my keyboard earlier and I couldn't find the replacement ones I'd bought, but eventually found the packet amongst some mail I hadn't put away. So here we are. Up and running again.

No FBG today, a tad busy before mental health consult happened at home.
it was a very good session and it showed how much in the last eighteemonths, Mrs L had deteriorated further.
the meds will be discussed with the specialist and doctors with e stone involved in the balance of her meds.
Physical and mental.
Another drug recently treating such similar conditions, may be used. No more sertraline.
And further recommendations are to follow, such as improving the house and such.
Let us see what happens.

Parking in Liverpool city centre is a bit of a nightmare @gennepher. And expensive.
There are still some car parks but wether they are close or as expensive I'm not to sure
What most around here do is use the trains and park at the stations. And get off in the city appropriate station.
Probably Central or Lime street.
I wish you good luck, last time we parked close to the back of the museums, Walker Art gallery. If that helps. Which is obviously close to the tunnels. And not far from the eye hospital.

Best wishes.

Taxi sounds like a good standby plan. Wonderful picture of those teasels.

An interesting sketch, I like it @dunelm

Thanks. I was wondering about trying to park by the Walker... i'll have another look at the map and see, make a list of the possibles. I used to park in all these places years ago, but it's not as easy now.... @Lamont D

Good luck with all the things you need for Mrs L

Good morning everyone on yet another sun shiny start this weeks bin lorry cavalcade day here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.9 this a.m.
Mrs Miggins and her twin sister had a pleasant walk along the cliff path. I ate too much in the pub yesterday where we met for lunch. I did walk some of it off coming back from town, but still. Just an omelette then for dinner.
An afternoon of exhaustingly carrying mugs of tea to Mrs Miggins as she dug in the final couple of plants bought earlier in the week and then applied a coat of paint to the fence at the bottom of the garden. Phew!
A no idea day today - a walk in the sunshine though.
Art bit - ink on damp paper.
Hope the sun warms and soothes you today. I best make koffy.

5.3 this morning.

Podiatrist at 9.30am then dash home to do admin. Then off to Norwich at 2pm as I have 3 1:1s before the evening classes.

I must admit that since l have gone back to drinking lots of water l have so much more energy.

Am relaxing at the moment with a coffee in my recliner chair in the cosy conservatory.

Fbg 6.7

Blue skies again...

Creative is ...just a kaleidoscope of daffodil leaves superimposed over a photo of my view out of my bedroom window...

And that's it today...I am going out with a coffee into the garden...

Bye.... have a happy day... all my technical devices are staying under lock and key in the bungalow today...

I agree about the lots of water but I still need a super charged booster @Krystyna23040
Maybe the sun will charge me up today...

Ink on damp paper works well @dunelm
I like it..

8.3 at 04.10 today. 2 cups of tea and some pills later it's 10.9. Great!

Leg day today but no more blood tests, as far as I know. Never can tell though. Afterwards Neil will take me to the shop to choose the blinds for our kitchen windows. Big windows, big blinds (and expensive) but the blinds we have are very old - still holding together but showing their age (49 years) and not keeping the sun out of my eyes in the mornings. The sun here, in the winter and spring, is low and shines right into one of the windows for most of the morning. Seems a shame to shut it out, but I can't see anything when it is clear weather. I did also have heavy curtains on that window, but when I took them down to wash them I found them too badly faded to put back up - and too long with the new radiators. Bought fabric to make new ones, but just can't manage it any more, so - new blinds it is. If they last as long as the old ones, they'll see me out.

Morning all

Greetings from afar.

Holiday has been very refreshing

Pushed the boat out a little bit today
A trip out to a French restaurant we used to frequent.

Food, if anything better that before.

2 starters, I had steak lauren had tuna steaks.
Several cappuccino.
And what they call a chocolate thali, but we call death by chocolate.

All of which tasted absolutely scrumptious
All for the unbelievable price of £50.

And yes, lauren did need a little help.

We'll when you're on holiday saying no just seems rude.

Glad the holiday is going so well. Pity I can't see the pics (don't have permission apparently) but never mind, I'd probably only be jealous.

So sorry @Annb

But in the hope others enjoy the living vicariously through others exploits as much as I have done over the years

( I had issues amending the pics.
Have edited one in o/p)

Hopefully two others will appear here .

Slight correction, lauren informs me it's tuna fillet with wasabi + honey soy glaze....non nom nom was her opinion.

Afternoon all

Blood sugars this morning were 6.3, what they are now after a bacon and sausage brown bread sarnie, I have no idea and no desire to know until this evening.

If you’re sunbathing in your mankinies and ladies in your speedos better put some sun cream on………

Interesting textures and colours
