Happy birthday to JKP

Good happy Easter Sunday afternoon fellow posters and painters.

Blood sugars this morning were in the sixes this morning, but I can’t remember what and I don’t care. 6.3

Just recently…..

Well that was as far as I got yesterday.
It is now Easter Monday morning Ladies and Gentlemen and my blood sugars this morning were 7.3

As I don’t want a repeat of yesterday I shall post this now wishing you all a jolly spiffing day.

6.6 this morning.

Had a lovely walk around Gooderstone Water Gardens yesterday. There is something magical about that place. The sunshine reflecting on the water through the trees and spring flowers is stunning. Just meandering gently over the many bridges and around the paths is so relaxing.

Then of course we enjoy chatting to the people who run the craft stalls and cafe.

So nice that I don't start work until Wednesday. It has been a lovely long break.

Morning all from a surly skied L.A. a sulky teenager style weather day. To our Catholic friends here, prayers for the soul of the late Pope and a personal hope for another with the same instincts. I don't know my fbg but did have an A1c last Thursday so eventually I will see the latest trends. I may use Libre again after the 30th - don't want to fry the spiffing new CT machine or my arm. Y'all have a good day now, we are having ye roast beef of Olde England with #3 son and partner.

Somehow I missed that news. Thank you for letting me know to look for it, Ian. I had thought it must be close, but didn't realise it would be quite so soon. Despite a certain amount of criticism, he was a good man and a good Pope, I think. I'll pray for him too.

BG was 7.2 at 04.50 today. Could be better, but I shan't complain.

Just had a phone call from the blinds man apologising for the fitter not coming on Friday. Some mix up over dates. They still could have phoned but never mind. He will come this afternoon. That means Neil will have to disconnect everything again and move the furniture again. That's why I'm taking my chance to get online now.

12.7 this morning which is better than normal. Still in the process of trying to get a pump.
g7 sensor trial successful thankfully and I did not react to the sensor glue which is a big step forward towards pump.

I managed to do an emergency clean of the shower today. Not comprehensive by any means, but reduction of the alarming bits, no more pink showing and no slippy floor anymore. I think I'm a bit fitter than I used to be which helped (though I still do sound like a rhinoceros when I'm leaning over to do the lower down bits) however no pain or hip or leg problems afterwards which is the first time in 2 years plus. On some level very exciting.

Have had orange juice and chocolate mouuse from a can this weekend due to someone in our houses' birthday. Glad we don't keep them in the house normally, Very addictive!

Good afternoon. fbs this morning was 7.9 What has happened to the sun? Sad news about Pope Francis . He was clearly struggling yesterday. The scenes of St. Peter's Square on TV brought back memories of being there one Easter Sunday when the then Pope blessed everyone from his balcony.

I had no idea the Pope had died Ian. Thanks for that info.
With having no telly, and hardly being on the internet these days (form filling takes up all internet time I allow myself), I have no idea of any news.

Fbg this morning 6.5

Just before sunset, a fierce spring storm of rain, sleet, and snow, the garden took a beating - a broken buddleia, a rose bush flattened, petals scattered. But as the storm passed, the light turned soft and golden, and the air felt freshly washed. This yellow wallflower, still standing with raindrops clinging to its petals, caught that moment of calm after chaos. Here is a little piece of resilience and beauty to end the day.

ALT description: Close-up of a vibrant yellow wallflower covered in fresh raindrops. The delicate petals are slightly ruffled, glistening with raindrops, after a dramatic spring storm. Soft green leaves surround the yellow petals, while the background hints at other plants and rich garden colors blurred by depth of field.

Night night

Sweet dreams

My eyes are already closing...

6.5 at 03.45 today. I'd gone to bed early so had to get up earlier than I wanted.

No idea after that because of a dearth of test strips and no Libre.

Blood test today for the diabetes nurse. I'm seeing her on 1st May so might get an idea about my HBa1c. It'll be higher, I know because my BGs have been higher for ages now. Pretty sure that is caused by an increased amount of carbs and all the tea that I drink.
