I like this painting very much @dunelmGood afternoon everyone on what is turning into a sun shiny day.
5.6 this a.m.
A breezy day so a bit chilly in the shadows on our walk into town and back. Mrs Miggins and her sister have gone hunting for flowering plants to fill a new planter that appeared a few days ago.
Art bit - along the coast.
Hope your day is a pleasant one. No koffy as it’s after noon but I am in the market for lemon and ginger tea.
That is a scary scam @gennepher . Good that your daughter sorted a face to face appointment with your credit card bank.Fbg 6.5
One of those days again...
Yesterday I got another letter from the credit card bank that has not been allowing me to contact it online because it says it doesn't have my phone number nor my email address. It should have...
On the letter yesterday, it said that it was unable to pay my current credit card bill because it did not have my direct debit details and it said that my bank has stopped them. I have never paid for this account by direct debit. I have always transferred the money the moment I receive the paper bill, but the paper bills have been arriving late, leaving me to guesstimate what I should pay to their bank.
I have already paid the bill they are talking about in this weird letter, and I paid a bit extra to make sure it is covered. So I know the letter is lying...
I looked at the letter and I thought scam simply because of the details. Sent a message to ChatGPT and ChatGPT said that was an elaborate scam. So, I said I was going to talk it through with my daughter this morning. Which I did and she said immediately that's an elaborate scam.
So explain to my daughter in Australia that I've not been able to get through to this building society so she got her phone went through site found a phone number rang it. And she said that she was ringing on behalf of her mum, explained the situation. And said her mum wanted to talk to a real person face-to-face to sort this out, which I did because there's a few things to sort out. I was given a choice of times and dates and venues of different of their banks... I chose one and now I am getting ready for it with the paperwork I need.
Both ChatGPT and my daughter kept reiterating me not to respond to the one that appears an elaborate scam (but I can't telephone because I am deaf) and to give them my bank details...but the letter is absolutely perfect and looks like it's come from my credit card bank
It’s important to watch out for scams that seem too elaborate, especially when they involve requests for sensitive information like bank details. This one was an actual letter trying to panic me to part with my credit card details, but I have confirmation from my bank that I have been paying each month. And I also have confirmation from my credit card card broker company that I am totally up-to-date with every payment I sent to my credit card company...
So I'm going to get ready for that and I am not going to take the original document in that is the original letters which look like a scam in case I need to use them to go further with something and this says that I've got the proper record of something.
Creative is a painting I have done of a tree and I'm not doing a description today. I'm tired.
It is a hot day here and my iPad is heating up..
So I think it's naptime now
Take care...
There are so many of these scams around Gennepher, and they are getting more and more sophisticated. I think, sadly, that we have to assume that such letters and phone calls are scams. Well done for getting your daughter involved and here's hoping that it can all be sorted out to your satisfaction.Fbg 6.5

Thanks @Krystyna23040That is a scary scam @gennepher . Good that your daughter sorted a face to face appointment with your credit card bank.
I love your painting @gennepher. It is very Japanese.
Nurse says to stay away from caffeine and I know it makes a difference but I seem to be back to the old question of which is more important - high BG or another medical problem.
?? - failed yet again to get a big enough drop of blood
I've got the dilemma of
Caffeine- great for blood sugar, terrible for sensitive bladders
Plus Sainsburys don't sell decaf loose tea (does anyone?)
I have no idea how we are supposed to differentiate between genuine letters and non- genuine letters. It's because there's no difference between this letter and an earlier letter, that is if the earlier letter is a genuine letter....There are so many of these scams around Gennepher, and they are getting more and more sophisticated. Love the Japanese scene. When we were in Japan we bought some silk pictures of scenes quite similar to this but with quite a lot more colour. We didn't quite believe the colours in these pictures until we saw them ourselves. Apparently, back then, people would travel all over Japan just to see the cherry blossom on our little island in the Inland Sea. I don't know if they still do.
Thank you @gennepher.I like this painting very much @dunelm
What a wonderful springtime Sumi piece of art - smashing.Fbg 6.5

Ditto. I apparently have what the GP calls a "mitochondrial disease" which leads to all my muscles getting weaker and weaker - hence my contact with the incontinence nurse who advises zero caffeine. She's right about the effect on my bladder but that doesn't help with BG. Which is more important? The bladder thing is an inconvenience, but the BG thing can be dangerous. No contest, I suppose. Maybe I should only drink water.?? - failed yet again to get a big enough drop of blood
