That is very interesting @Lamont D .The difference in the water, where you are, and in the city is so different in taste and minerals.
I have drunk clear water from northern Scotland from a stream. It was really refreshing. Much like the lake district. The water here from North Wales, yes, we take their water from them. Is quite hard.
And when I was doing my last job, we had the feed analysis tested and the subsequent results, meant a larger amount of softener, detergent and destainer, for the washing machines.
Maybe that is why I won't drink the water from the tap.
Maybe that's why people are fruit juice and such.
Yes, that was the name...I couldn't think what it was @debs248We used to have this in our garden - my mum called it Oxalis or Wood Sorrel, and we used to chew the bottom of the stems for the lemon juice-like taste.
Thank you...I do need a good rest and sleep... @Lamont Djust take it easy @gennepher, there is nowt that can't wait until you can deal with it all.
you need good rest, and because of the heat you need to slow down enough, take your time doing stuff. I had to wait until the sun was in shadow to do the front garden. Even now it is very nice now that the sun is going down. Perfect for sitting in the garden.s
and I have those purple flowers in my front garden. Good spreading plants. Just now losing some flowers....
gonna try to get to the flower shop tomorrow.!
I had some spaces from early spring flowers.
early bed for me as well
sweet dreams.
my best wishes
Don't worry about keeping up with posts just look after yourself. Take care.Afternoon all.
I’m struggling to keep up with all those posts, while drinking all this water and subsequent trips to the loo.
Remember, due to the +/- 15% accuracy tolerance of the meter, the second reading could actually reflect lower BG than the first!12.06
7.05am FBG 5.9
8.00am FBG 6.2 wait, what? It's supposed to go down if fasting longer. Does this mean that Dawn Phenomen is back?
That sounds like a perfect sized meal to me, too. Sometimes I want to eat more, but usually not.I just wasn't at all hungry today. For my 2nd meal I had two hard boiled eggs and some raw sugar snap peas. Followed by some lovely natural crunchy peanut butter for dessert. It was actually the perfect sized meal for me today.
The perfect balance to feeding a baby/toddler in a high chair I'd think. Although a friend's parents had a particularly stupid labrador which they had to get rid of - he had been accustomed to laying his head in her mum's lap when she sat on the stairs to use the phone (it was the 70s), then one day, there was a tiny baby in "his" place, which he removed, by grabbing its head in his jaws and dragging it offHowever, I did drop a sugar snap pea on the kitchen floor when I was walking to the sink to wash them. She caught it and ran out of the house like a rocket. If course you always have a clean kitchen floor with a Labrador.
Ouch! That sounds like a perfect sized meal to me, too. Sometimes I want to eat more, but usually not.

He (the baby) was fine, and is now a perfectly healthy 50 year old. But of course they couldn't risk something similar happening again.Ouch!
Just as well I did. Had a phone call this afternoon to say I can expect 3 guests at lunchtime tomorrow. Just realised I have no bread so will have to make soda bread tomorrow morning.7.1 at 03.20 today. Libre alarm went off while I was in the shower so I had to just let it bleep away. When I eventually got to it, BG was 8.3.
Legs day today (for me - shopping day for Neil), but I'll need to muster enough energy to do some cooking - just in case visitors come tomorrow. If they don't, I'll use some and put the rest in the freezer, but I do like to be prepared. I'm one of those people who like to be waiting for ages on the platform for a train at a given time - just to make sure I don't miss it. I should have been a boy scout - "Be prepared".
I tried again 30 mins later and got 6.5. So I think it was DP. Certainly an hour after coffee with a dash of cream, BG down to 5.4.Remember, due to the +/- 15% accuracy tolerance of the meter, the second reading could actually reflect lower BG than the first!
I have, to quote another member whose name I have forgotten, a very generous liver so DP is the bane of my life
9.9 today
What a horrible thing to have happened The poor baby could have been badly injured @debs248.That sounds like a perfect sized meal to me, too. Sometimes I want to eat more, but usually not.

Yes - a working kitchen would be a great help @SlimLizzyI tried again 30 mins later and got 6.5. So I think it was DP. Certainly an hour after coffee with a dash of cream, BG down to 5.4.
I have been more or less ignoring the prediabetes for several stressful months while we searched for and then bought a different house.
Time to take charge again. DP I am calling time on you. Did it before, can be done again. Although a working kitchen would be a great help. MrSlim thinks three to four weeks. The summer sales start next Wednesday and we will be purchasing the large appliances and a sink. Plus units to fit them into. Bank will be squeaking.
